  1. $40 light? I got my crap from walmart for less than half of that and it came with a red blinker too!! LOL
  2. So.... now that there's sewage in the back yard spewing out of the septic, I'm suddenly right, on the condition that I get it fixed. !@$^#@%$#%&I*^#%$^@#&%*^%$%@&$ KID BROKE THE DAMM THING! ...do I get to rub it in that I never wanted to take in 6yo's?
  3. Official word/email from Sig is that the serials were milled off "in the old days" I'm lowballing it - $550? or is that too generous.
  4. The mystery deepens.... These CPO units are milled from the factory - notice how they are blued?
  5. That was my guess too..... just wanted to see if anyone concurred. Guys on Sigtalk are saying that the old Sigs have the serial number on that spot - looks like the slide may not be original.
  6. Won't it block a scope or sight when it's up on top? I guess it could be set up for lower 1/3 co-witness, but what about a magnified scope. That's a pretty large chunk of "front sight" when a scope is attached. At $125 I should be selling these re-purposed bike lights. They come with strobe too!!!! <laughs> <lmao>
  7. Someone offering to trade a P220 for my AR-15 and sent me these pics (attached). There's a shallow milled slot on the slide. Never seen this before and wondering if I'm missing something. I don't think it would affect anything, just wondering if it'll be an OK trade.
  8. Per brother Blue, it's a handguard made from industrial shelving . <laughs> <lmao>
  9. For $10 more a barska 25-75x 75mm scope http://www.amazon.com/BARSKA-25-75x75-Colorado-Spotting-Scope/dp/B000RMEVNS/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1395896892&sr=1-1&keywords=75x+spotting+scope
  10. The big stores like Cabelas was dumping the non "HD" Vortex Viper at about 1/2 price ($450ish instead of $900). There are still some stores that may have them available. If the budget is somewhat limited, look on Amazon for the deals and also user reviews. I've seen some pretty decent low-budget ones.
  11. Too late. Got my stash going already.
  12. He'll get good sales numbers for sure.
  13. Too many unknowns and the "media" is just sensationalizing. There's bigger fish to fry at this time.
  14. All see is Sandy's butt.
  15. Get a heavy buffer. Works wonders on the recoil. It's when you hit 12oz that you run into trouble with cycling.
  16. Continuing with the theadjack..... Oh just rub it in, Tom - I got my own stash too....not as much as you but the rest of my 300 AAC are subsonics.
  17. BAH. I'm already saving $1/box.... and at today's gas prices? You got shares in Chevron or something, Tom? <lmao>
  18. I think they are already making it. The Barnes 110gr Vor-TX in 300 AAC with black tipped Tac-TX projectiles. One LGS had them at $30.99 and I bought up all 5 (other places had it at $32-$35/box) just to see how they do accuracy-wise, and also get more factory 300 AAC brass for reloads later on. The LGS has since raised the price to $32.99. Considering that other LGS's want $39.99 for Remington Premier Match 125gr OTM, I thought the price was reasonable. [EDIT - Silly me, I misread Robo's post] Actual bullet load: http://www.barnesbullets.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/300-AAC-Blackout-110gr-TAC-TX.pdf Range report upcoming... perhaps at the next Marana shoot.
  19. I loaded some TTSX's for a little more "ouch" if I ever needed to defend the home.
  20. It should. The armlite carbine buffer tube is longer but the UBR is standard CAR length - the buffer follows the tube length so it is reduced for a shorter CAR tube.
  21. You need a DPMS LR308-length CAR buffer/spring. Approx length of the buffer is 1.5", and can come from slash or whatever company.
  22. Same here. Powder is appearing in Bass Pro and Sportsman's. Hodgon, Alliant, Accurate... etc. all starting to show up with 2014 manufacturing batches.
  23. ...and then you get into the headaches and what not....
  24. I never do. Even though I remember clearly what exactly happened and can describe it word for word, she always has a different version from an parallel universe. Great thing these days is my 16yo daughter backs up my version.
  25. "whaddya mean 'WE'??"
