Heh... I have 5 pairs of 2012 Fox Sergeant Shorts in Black Camo. It's a great mountain bike short and it's also my de-facto "uniform" these days. They are super comfortable and has lots of storage (lower pockets fit my Sig), and really durable..... because they are black/urban camo, it's hard to make out dirt /oil/metal etc from working in the shop. I always pick them up on clearance at $109 $39-$50 depending on how lucky I get.

Finally my PSA BCG is on the way... should be here tomorrow.

Well you can see them in person vicariously through me. Went back to sportsman's 24 hours later and all of them were gone. I'm still kicking myself for not walking back in to pick up more.

All the "old" stuff is getting clearanced for the new 2014 lines. I just picked up $150 of bike gear from pricepoint (mostly tees, and biking shorts)....my annual bike clothes/t-shirt binge.

I think there's a good number of us using the Lee factory crimp die. My crimps are set at about 3/4 turn from the initial setting where it just touches the case mouth, and it leaves the small 4-section line you described.

Not overly worried about the heavier ones since I'll load them up light so they stay subsonic so I guess there's more room to shove the bullet deeper. :D

I've been using regular FL sizer dies and not having any issues on the 308. Should I even bother sizing them using the SB dies at all? I figure the FL is the "standard" so it'll fit anything from a bolt action to my 308AR...or am I missing something here.

Found some 178gr A-Max at Sportsman's and picked up some. Still looking around for 208's or 220's to use on the 300AAC.

BTW, did some checking on the interwebz after I posted and it looks like it is legal to do it. BATFE goes by the initial registration of the rifle and any caliber changes after the fact is legal. You could be nice and send them a change notification but that's not required.

There are decent barrels to be had for under $150. Check out CMMG and other smaller manufacturers too. I just picked up a nice 300BLK barrel for under $200 myself from MAS Defense. The barrel I received was well made and headspaced right on the dot. Bolt fitment was excellent. Not sure if you've gotta change the upper too could be just a lower. Either way, if you get a new lower & upper, you're probably better off building that up to another rifle! The more, the merrier!

Doesn't the SB sizer make the cartridge smaller - i.e. looser in the chamber?

Try sticking in a DPMS/SR25 style 308 mag and see if it works. If it does, then it's an AR-10A.

Then again, I gotta do more work at the shop on Sunday.
