  1. I think I found out what it is -- it matches my AA5744, and the load matches the published load data from Accurate
  2. Varget isn't manufactured here. It's made in Australia, imported, then packaged here. They should simply import more. That shouldn't be too hard for Hodgon to do, right? :D
  3. Gotta take my 16-yo along... she'll be happy there are boys her age. :D
  4. How about this? http://www.news.com.au/world/oil-rig-worker-says-he-saw-malaysia-airlines-flight-mh370-burst-into-flames/story-fndir2ev-1226853302184
  5. I saw some there. They were even pretty well stocked with 9mm +P ammo.
  6. SSA-E - definitely. What was surprising to me was the New Frontier's all-plastic fire control... clean crisp break, no grinding or grittiness at all. Totally baffled me.
  7. Doing some research and reverse engineering for 300 AAC loads. This came out of Remington UMC (white/green box) 300 AAC 220gr OTM-FB subsonic rounds. Definitely not AA1680... it's too coarse. H110 maybe?
  8. If it were a slow crash, why didn't the passengers call out or send text messages while the plane was going down?
  9. 1. Avoid steel. Most warranties will not cover steel case ammo, and I'm pretty sure DPMS is the same. 2. Never reloaded lead.... 3. A lot!
  10. Stumbled into Healy Arms, just off Country Club in Mesa and was pleasantly surprised. Super friendly staff, lots of selection. Powders, ammo, bullets, firearms (of course), misc parts, and accessories. Prices on ammo was excellent - quite a bit cheaper on some items compared to other LGS's in the area. ....I couldn't leave without buying something....
  11. No wallpapers of Sandy?
  12. Metal fatigue? The steel was probably not annealed correctly and thus brittle.
  13. So I stumbled into another LGS today. They had powders.... and at REGULAR prices ($25ish). Talked to the guys there and they said that the hazmat shipping restrictions is causing havoc with the powder deliveries. Hmm.....
  14. Some carriers will ring b4 going to VM
  15. South Mountain's just a biker fashion show.
  16. SGC to serious shooters = South Mountain to serious mountain bikers
  17. That's why I went with the pistol length system for the 300 blk.
  18. Update from barrel manufacturer - gas port is 0.075"-0.078"
  19. I'm definitely thinking terrorist hijacking gone wrong or a terrorist bombing. My initial speculation is Abu Saayaf. Jaamiyah Islam is next in line. The bits of wreckage from the sat photos are southeast of where the plane should have been. Makes me think that AS terrorists were trying to get the plane of to Sabah (East Malaysia), something went wrong and suicide bomber pressed the "Allah-hu Wahkbar" button.
  20. There - corrected.
  21. Good to know. Another guy in Mesa has H110 etc available. $29/can
  22. Hate to say this but this hit close to home (Singapore) and have family in Malaysia. Being familiar with how the Malaysian authorities work, expect confusion, misleading reports, incompetence, etc. Taking that into consideration, I would say we don't have a full picture of what led to the crash. Only the flight recorder will tell. BTW, the pilot of MH370 was an avid pilot and even built his own home flight simulator.
  23. Didn't you pick up some H110 from one of them? Stop feeding the trolls!! <laughs>
  24. Good data! Following with interest!
  25. Yep... I have the sierra data too. Wonder why they skip the H110. Well only way to find out is to start messing around. I got 2 lbs of AA1680 and another 2 lbs of AA5744. That should load up a ton of 300 BLK. LilGun is "one step" slower than H110 on the burn rate charts and the load on the hornady manual goes up to 17.0gr (max) @ 1900 fps
