  1. Interesting. The pin I posted is a DPMS pin and my CMMG has an identical pin. Wonder if there's a benefit one way or another (i.e. compared to a solid dowel pin with a setscrew retainer).
  2. I gotta tighten mine down too. My shots go everywhere if I sit for more than 15 minutes of continuous shooting.
  3. LISTEN TO THE MAN! You should be using this instead of a dowel pin on the 308
  4. Nice!
  5. Wow.... great job! I don't even have the luxury of spending more than 20 mins per reload stint (including case prep) before the kids act up and do something stupid that requires my intervention.

    Latest Build

What mags are those... I was planning on building a Rem 700 SA using my CNC "skillz" to make the chassis which would ideally take the standard 308 pmag.
  7. I use an industrial labeler and stick mine to the buttstock.
  8. NICE! LOL... I'd add an engraving of Casper or a typical sheet ghost logo on it. :D
  9. Whatever gun you're shooting, it's really all about practice practice practice. I don't profess to be a marksman but I know when I made a bad shot and typically can anticipate "where that last round went". Focus on consistency in the sight picture, grip/support and stance, pull smoothly & firmly on the trigger and don't forget the follow through. The Sig SP2022 is a great budget option that nobody seems to consider/know about. The trigger feel is VERY nice (I feel it's on par with the P226 that I used to carry in the military) and it usually around $550 new, $400+ used. Poly frame, much like a Glock. Much nicer than the Sig P250 - that DAO trigger on the P250. I bought it (used - because you can't really kill a Sig) because it felt really great in my hand, and I had compared Glocks, S&W M&Ps, and the XD/XDm handguns I held.
  10. Oops... double feed!!
  11. Not really. A lot of the gasoline is produced by catalytic cracking the (lower demand) heavier hydrocarbons in the raw petroleum and converting it to high-demand/high-profit gasoline. If the demand for diesel increases, it is easy to adjust the yields to make more diesel ( or kerosene, or JP5, ... etc) by hydrocracking (instead of catalytic cracking) a larger proportion of the oil. There's always diesel from hydrocracking certain types of coal too..... So Biodiesel or not, the projected price won't skyrocket unless the overall total demand for petroleum products increase dramatically.... (This still does not factor in how much the oil producers and refining companies want to overcharge for the oil products to get their annual record profits).
  12. Naah.. use the 300BLK for what it's meant -- Subsonic suppressed!!
  13. So he had it loaded up on the trailer where he bought them. The question is how he got it off. Did he back up really quick then slam on the brakes instead of using the dump loader as he described?? We wanna see that video.
  14. The FGMM 175 SMK uses 42.5 GR of IMR-4064 and those are super consistent. For 168gr you should be able to up the charge by 0.5gr.By careful hand loading, you should hopefully be able to match or even exceed that consistency.
  15. Apparently new from Sig - a full FDE SP2022. Makes me wanna pick up one and swap my threaded barrel around. :D
  16. heheh... I'm already working on getting my grubby hands on a 300 BLK too!
  17. More greetings from AZ!
  18. Checked around online regarding prices etc on the rifle, then had a long talk with buddy and gave him a reality check on the value of the 50 cal. ...wondering if that makes me less of a friend. Haha
  19. Sold the beater for a small profit... now I got cash in my pocket. Time to buy/build a 300BLK.
  20. More AZ greetings!!
  21. waterproof is nice. :)
  22. Following with interest... :D
  23. I'm using a Ballistic case for my trusty old Galaxy Nexus. It's better padded than the Otterbox version on my wife's identical phone, and the Ballistic has also survived mountain bike crashes too. :D
  24. Magpul bump cases?
  25. I'm considering a 300 BLK build soon and I know I'll have questions. Someone help me out here. Q1. I noticed that there are a disproportionate number of 300 BLK barrels with pistol-length gas systems. Why are so many 300 BLK barrels coming with pistol length gas journals? Even on 16" barrels? Q2. Anyone know if them piston conversion kits work on 300 BLK rounds? Q2a. Anyone tried to fire 300BLK suppressed with a piston conversion? Q3. Is there any gas adjustment required for a suppressed piston AR (in general, not only 300BLK)?
