  1. Mike, Here's a free copy! :D :D http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/ATF-Compliant-Letter.pdf
  2. Anyone have any experience with HM Defense barrels? I'm considering this for a 300BLK build. $250ish. - 16" carbine length - Fluted - M4 feedramps Thoughts? -S
  3. Amazon is great. I've ordered tons of firearms related parts, optics, reloading dies etc. No issues whatever. Everything is delivered quickly (especially when you have Amazon Prime). Check out the Amazon Warehouse deals for the "returns" since they cost less but are usually in "like-new" condition.
  4. Hi from AZ!!
  5. Hi from AZ!
  6. Not a pic but this is a legitimate hoax/scam going around - received this security alert this AM from Phoenix PD. Hard to believe at least one sucker fell for the scam. LOL UASI-HDB Situational Awareness Bulletin - Fire Alarm Hoax Calls copy.pdf
  7. ^ <thumbsup> <lmao> <laughs>
  8. Not quite a pic but still funny. (pretty obvious that I don't watch football)
  9. Are you sure you got the correct heavybuffer buffer? There are two lengths - standard CAR and DPMS-LR308 CAR length
  10. 2700ish with the CFE223 and low 2600 with the 4064.
  11. Right - we use the movies to keep the kids quiet. Another thing about amazon prime - it can extend to the "whole family". Anyone with an account at the same mailing address can sign up for free Amazon Prime as long as one member in the household has an amazon prime account. I bought a ton of gun/shooting parts off Amazon but lately seems like their supplies of have dried up when I tried to reorder new FDE bits for beater #2. Not sure how long the price of Amazon Prime will stay at $79.99/year. Their latest Amazon profit reports show that it's been cutting into their shipping costs and there's talk of them raising it to $99... or $129.99. ....BTW Wife orders groceries via Amazon Subscribe & Save. She receives an additional 20%-25% off the subscribe & save price (which are already low) for being a subscriber and shipping is always free with Amazon Prime. Groceries/sundries just appear at our doorstep every month. Even the toilet paper (she said "cheaper than Costco"). LOL
  12. 308AR - my CMMG. 18" barrel 1:10 twist
  13. Whatever mount you choose, I recommend one with a 20MOA forward cant. I went a different (cheapass ^-^ ) route and put it on a Weaver 20MOA riser with low Leupold QRW rings. I like the flexibility and how the riser ties in the flat top receiver with the rail on the Troy handguard and makes everything more rigid. Going with the low rings makes everything fit as close to the barrel as possible.
  14. The CFE223 seems a little hot. 4064 performed much better and has similar (if not better) results than factory loaded FGMM 175 SMK. Loads were with 42.5gr IMR4064, 175gr SMK or 175gr Barnes Matchburners, Fed 210 LR primers, in a mix of brass (LC, FC, and WIN RP). Trying the same load with 180gr SMK the next outing.
  15. ...forgot to mention - new "complete rifles" also come with warranties, which could be handy in solving any teething problems. Used rifles - buy it from someone you can trust so you don't end up inheriting someone else's problems
  16. Welcome from AZ! Buy a complete rifle that fits your budget if possible. Probably the best bet for now since there 308AR parts aren't really standardized and could end up being a headache.
  17. 2-4mm (1/16"-5/32") is about normal. It's likely the spring then. It's binding when the buffer is fully compressed. Gotta go get one that has less coils.... You could clip 1-2 complete coils from the rear end of the spring to see if it helps.
  18. Greetings from AZ!
  19. Looks like something isn't right. Have you tried to pull the bolt all the way back without the buffer spring - just to verify that it isn't the spring that is binding.
  20. That looks like a standard carbine tube. You should be using an LR308-Carbine length buffer+spring. The 308 buffers are shorter than the regular length AR15 carbine buffers. Does the bolt lock back properly on an empty mag?
  21. I have been checking out the MFT minimalist stocks and may go that direction. :D
  22. Welcome from AZ. That's a good looking rifle!
  23. Sure!
  24. Are you referring to the new GII? Yes, those can now even use AR15 handguards.
