  2. Welcome from Louisiana and thank you for your service.
  3. Go re site in the scoop that is on DPMS LR-308A2 Carbine that I repainted last month.
  4. That is so funny
  5. I take that back. My rifle (20 inch) the gas tube is in middle of the cutout and my Carbine (16 inch) is short like his. Now my rifle kicks a lot more than my Carbine does. I bought my Rifle new from Buds and I built my Carbine using all DPMS parts except for the lower and that is a TM. Other than that they are the same. Buffer spring, buffer tube and buffer are the same. You got to remember if the gas block was up agents the barrel step; part of the gas port will be closed off. The gas block needs to be the thickness of a regular hand guard nose cap away from the step on the barrel or it’s not going to work right.
  6. Both of mine or in the same place. No Problems
  7. Welcome from Louisiana
  8. Shouldn’t be the ammo. I run the cheapest 308 I can find, but I stay away from steal case.
  9. What kind of gas block was on it? Was it an clamp on or had set screws? Like others have said your gas block may not be levial – inline with the gas port. I don’t see anything wrong other it is not getting enough gas to work the BCG properly.
  10. Welcome from Louisiana
  11. Thank you, it is all freehand with an airbrush.
  12. One of my favorites my AR10A2 Carbine clone got a face left (new paint job) Wolf

  15. Welcome from LA (Louisiana). Might I ask Armalite or DPMS? From a NAVY vet 71-75 thank you for your service.
  16. Welcome from LA. Like others have said shoot both 762 and 308. The only time I shoot 308 is for hunting and the rest of the time I shoot 762. I mostly shoot the cheapest 762 I can fine, but I stay away from steal case. I don’t like the polymer coating. I run all my AR’s wet using a mix of 60% Mobil One Synthetic with 40% Marvel Mystery Oil. Wolf
  17. Welcome from La. (Louisiana) BTW If you want to learn about FAL’s and L1A1’s you need to visit the FAL files. http://www.falfiles.com/forums/
  18. I’d love to do a DPMS pattern 308 using one of the skull lowers I just wish they weren’t so pricey.

  21. Great looking ftp. Teach um young.
  22. Very very nice. I’m parcel to pans myself.
  23. Welcome from Louisiana. I like my DPMS’s two. I know I’ll get some feedback on this but there is only so much you can do an M1A, but the possibilities with the AR platform are just about endless. I know what you are saying. I have an M1A, it shoots purity dame good, but my Home built DPMS LR-308 16 inch Carbine shoots so much better with less recoil and not as heavy. Sense I had my stroke three years ago I am not as steady as I used to be. I paid 13 hundred for my M1A it’s a standard and I have roughly 950 bucks in my DPMS.
