Yeah, Ive done that more than once. usually use a tiny ass .010 drill until it breaks through. Instant pain relief like you said.

I've been turning down and threading bolt knobs on 700's for the local guys and installing these knobs after parkerizing. Have also don a couple alum knobs.

Just a few pics of my rifle as it sits now. I still have to anodize the aluminum parts. I made my own version of a spuhr cantilever scope mount. I just left the sights on there for now, I may or may not offset them in the future. I am really impressed with that fa barrel. So far I've only shot some surplus Malaysian junk through it but it's shooting sub moa no prob. Can't wait to shoot some nice stuff, then I will post some group shots. Fucker weighs in at 13 lbs empty.

whats the back of your bolt lugs look like? Smooth ? or coated with crap? Also is the bolt face clean and smooth where it contacts the case?

May I suggest you consider a 16" barrel if you plan on doing any hunting, as a 20" may be a monster to tote around. You will still have exellent accuracy at longer distances. Also a JP recoil eliminator is exellent at reducing recoil with the down side of being extremely loud and rather big.

Hey Shibiwan have you thought about doing any crazy profiles on the front of your lowers? like this? If your running sw and gibbs it should be a breeze. Well code wise, but tooling might be a little bit of a pain. Has that seekins look.

Ive run 20rd and 10rd gen3 mags in a TM lower with a dmps upper no problems.
