As an engine builder I was aware of the NiB being a coating but I have had zero issues with any of mine. Sorry for your bad luck. I am wondering how DLC will fare next. It lives on wrist pins and other parts. Worth a try, to me.

I forgot I had ordered an oversize FDE bolt handle knob for the 700 I am building and it showed up today! Woo hood! Now I have that and the stock! Lol!!! We're on a roll with that build now! Too bad the Kreiger barrel is a 6 month wait. -
It's kind of cold here today too. Only getting up to 68 today.

I have Velocity triggers in 3 or 4 of my AR15s but havent tried one in my 308s yet. Zero issues with them though.
