I got into the AR stuff because of some friends. I grew up hunting in Missouri & have always liked the looks of the AR platform. I've built a few 15s & am doing a 15 in 7.62x39 right now. I also have a Vytamen C Tactical, billet, 80% DPMS AR10 lower & am gathering parts for that build. I know I am going to end up doing a bolt rifle soon as I want a 1000 yard 308 also. My 308 build was just another logical step up in the AR chain. Guys, I built a 7.5 inch barrel, AR 15 pistol & the damn thing is STUPID LOUD!!! I still haven't decided if I am going to keep it. It's THAT loud!! I put am Ares, Effin A compensator on it & it shoots dead straight with no jump. I just need to figure out how to tame down the noise on the thing. I am open to recommendations on that one. Ray.

Ed, sign up for & take the MSF Beginner Rider Course. They supply the bikes & you will do quite a bit of low speed parking lot riding over a couple of days. The course is a GOOD course & will teach you how to turn & stop correctly, along with teaching you how to be aware & what to look for. Avoidance techniques too. It will cost you about 250 bucks but will also get you a 15% discount on your insurance. When you are ready to look for a bike, I would recommend 400-600 ccs to start with. I have a 16" chrome lined barrel on the way & got a 125 dollar NiB bcg with the correct firing pin in it for this. I was told the P mags will work if I change the base plate/follower in it? Going to try the Elftman AR10 trigger to see if the heavier hammer will make it fire those primers. Ray.

My newest build & gathering parts. Have the upper, 80% lower & NiB bcg already for it. The followers to fix the 223 mags are on the way, as is my barrel. What muzzle brake would you guys use for a 1/2-28 on this barrel? Does someone make it or do I need to stick one of the 223 bakes in the lathe? Ray.

How does PB Blaster compare, Tom? Have you tried it? I have had good luck with it on all the motorcycle stuff I need it on. Ray.
