Next: I posted some images from my desktop computer and they looked ok, but when I pulled up the site and my posting on my Kindle Fire tablet, there were no images just a long shallow box with a small logo in it where the images are on. Do I need to post the images differently than selecting a file from my desktop MY PICTURES folders?

I didn't realize the images don't show up on tte Kindle Fire apparatus. Maybe I could do something differently? Maybe copy from one already on the internet?

Absolutely, I really appreciate you firefighters in "tall tree wildfire country" that put your lives on the line.... I retired from our local VFD 10 years ago, I was a Captain and drove our surplus USAF 8000 gallon tanker, 8000 gallons of water weigh around 65000 pounds and was a load for the old tandem axle body load truck. we had mostly grass and brush wildfires , I think I can still cough up some grass smoke.

I don't have one yet, probably have to sell something non-eatable to have the cash, ,However I can post several glowing reviews of course.

Hey Shepp throw in some Kingston self lighting brickettes fire them up and turn op the air they will clean up to powdery gray ash and you can blow them out.

Okay, I was using the process from the Utube video that was posted here except for the paint can and the propane torch used to ignite the chips. I looked at pond pumps from AMAZON and if my old CPAP pump don't work I will get one in the 20 to 40 dollar range. Shepp, What kind of chips are you using? are your pics made after using?

Look on eBay for stainless steel stew pots the 20 Qt size looks about right for me since I will be sitting the smoke pot on top of my propane side burner to start the mixture of charcoal and hickory, mesquite, apple or whatever wood to smolder that I'm smoking with. I figure setting the charcoal, chips on a tin pie plate spaced about an inch and half above the bottom of the stew pot with 8 evenly spaced 3/8" holes around the bottom for the updraft air to keep the chips smoldering. I think the pitot tube jet will draw enough air up thru the chips to sustain the fire, don't want a lot of flow or the chips will flame and burn up. the heated air will tend to rise anyway . I think the idea is to keep the smoke flowing without having it being really hot, thus the COLD smoke idea. Am I wrong?

Got me there, J have an unsurppresed Okie on one side with a WB Chihuahua at the foot of the bed. I am connected to a CPAP pump and have a Ruger service 6 and a 1911 both fully loaded in the drawer and an unsuppresed Winchester model 94 against the bed Sometimes life gets tedious.....

I think so now I need to sneek the old stew pot and lid to the shop. I'm thinking won't need too good of a seal on the lid because the smokejet should create negative pressure in the pot.

I'm looking at using an old stainless stew pot and an exhaust flange off an old mower engine, or a flange from Lowe's bore a hole in the side of the stew pot near the top screw in a 3/4 inch tee and making a vertical smoke jet and running a short section of 3/4 inch flex to the grill box with another 3/4 flange. I have an old CPAP air pump. Just drill the air holes in the bottom of the stew pot set a small tin pie pan inside the stew pot for the chips or pellets and set it on the propane side burner and light the burner real low to make smoke. I have most of the stuff on hand I can use a length of 3/8 steel fuel line with a compression ferrel to connect the jet tube in the center of the outer 3/4 " black pipe and flare the outer end for connecting the air hose.

Pima air and space is my one of my favorite places to spend time at. It has grown since I spent a couple of days there in the late 1980s and several rolls of 35mm film. I was doing research when our High Sky wing of the CAF was trying to restore an old Douglas B-23bomber. Unfortunately we found too much corrosion in the airframe to restore to flying condition I think it may be in the bone pile or a static display at CAF in Midland. The Castle air museum in California has a Blackbird a B-36 and a B-23. I spent a full day there.
