  1. My Marine baby brother worked at DFW he was one of the original members of DFWDPS. he was fire and police and EMT cross trained, he retired about 10 years ago. Tell me about that rocket shooting pig on tracks avatar.
  2. Would that be what we would call FFF? Field Force Forming? :bat:
  3. Thanks 98 I saved the sign and enlarged it to full page size and it looks GREAT!
  4. Welcome from Central Texas
  5. Out here in the boonies we use FB to keep up with stray livestock dogs and cats. Highway wrecks grassfires, school activities school ball scores. There are sell and trade groups, fishing and hunting reports current criminal activity. All my kids and grandkids are scattered we post pictures,etc.,etc. Storm warnings radar screens. Funerals, births and recipes. Works easier than having to remember email addresses. Works kind of like a visual old timey telephone party line.
  6. Ammo with a consistent velocity and no white smoke from the muzzle was what our old ex-sniper Marksmanship instructors at Pendleton liked and they all preferred the 3006 AP (black tip) over the 3006 Ball I never saw any 3006 Ball until I shot at the Army range at Fort Sill Artillery school. The Army were already shooting M14 and we were still shooting M1 they issued 3006 Ball to us and told me to not bring any back, we didn't. (I was driving the deuce and half that picked up the ammo for our annual rifle qualifying).
  7. It is a fairly simple to fix small screw holes and countersinks in a strikerplate. Take one small screw out and with a drill bit a couple sizes biggerthan the head of the 3" SS deck screw enlarge the counter sink in one hole run in the new screw and then do the next one. They sell reinforcement plates for the door lock and deadbolt. I like the idea of painting the door with Rhino bed coating.
  8. Since you livey in Cal-if-onery don't money grow on trees and you can pick gold nuggets upoffen the ground?+

  11. Remember that old song: "I don't want her, She is too fat for me!" Well just substitute too crooked, too left wing, too untruthful, too corrupt, for FAT.
  12. What is the best motion detector-dusk to dawn security light for the money and where is best place to buy? Store or online?

mostly a dull night for the COWBOYS!
  14. I'm in no big hurry!
  15. Would that be the delivered and installed price to zip code 76442 ? I will board and feed you whilst you are here two nights max. We have indoor plumbing, WI FI and HD Directv, cen. A/C and cold Silver Bullets bologane, cheese and sliced bread in the fridge.
  16. I followed the directions on Beaches sling front detachable swivel and rear swivel on the collapsable stock on the DPMS LR308. I have always used two point slings both issue web and 1907 leather on M1 and M1A and Mini 14s I use a Latigo on my Remington mod 700 243 And my built 3006 O3A3 I use a Freeland cuff sling on my Winchester 52 and Ansultz 64.22LR target rifles. I reckon you could say I am a radicalized 2 point sling old fart. I used a piece of cotton rope tied around the barrel and the small of the stock on my old Ithaca model 37 duck hunting on open water, does that count?

Cowboys go pack up a bear, but tonight you gotta short out the chargers.
  18. Those are really a couple of good plans, this is what I was hopeing would appear in this thread! Where ever you are, double lock the doors. A security storm type door isn't too bad to look at and gives an added bit of security. NEVER answer the door without a pistol or revolver in your hand after dark or in day time either ,if you can't see who is at the door even if you are barefoot and Nakkid! And let the others in the house know you are going to answer the door. It is better to scare the crap out of someone than be killed.
  19. You got the stuff for shure. I could throw a mattress over the pool table, if I get tired of racking balls, and get a good night of beddy-bye.
  20. Do you do curtains and rugs? I could use some suggestions on survival food, arms and ammo storage in my fraidie hole tornado cellar.
  21. I'm glad to hear that wash, you to plane flyer. I've been out of the shooting game too long. I kind of dropped out after moving out of the Texas Panhandle and loseing the use of the 500 yard outdoor range and the 50 foot indoor range. I thought I had enough ammo and firearms for my life..Then along came that AR thing itch and the.40 cal itch. I'm ruint.
  22. Anyone here buy from the CDNN SPORTS website? Got their e-mail add today looked like they had decent prices on some ammo, had.22 LR and .22 mag. You can order on line or pick up at their store in Abilene, Texas
