Back when I first heard anything from Disturbed I thought it was garbage. This was back in the "Down with the Sickness" days. Fast forward to hearing they remade Sound of Silence and I looked it up on Youtube just to see how badly they trashed it. I watched, stunned, like holy shiit spine tingle stunned. Then discovered their live performance on Conan, more spine tingle. The dude can sing!

S & G version for the beauty of it. Disturbed version for its power. It still sends shivers up my spine.

If they stay truly subsonic, a bolt 7.62 X 51 is the way to have fun with them. If they would be comparable to my 300 BLK bolt with subs it would be airsoft gun quiet or quieter. Your AR might be too without the action slamming back and forth on each shot.

Your best bet to get an upper, lower, and BCG to play nice together is to get them from the same manufacturer. Yes there are exceptions, but since there is no milspec in the 308 AR world, anyone can do anything and claim its "DPMS pattern". Some manufacturers are satisfied with close enough.

HeII Rene, you have more snow by you than I do here, and I'm a 2 hour drive from Lake Superior just below the lake effect snow belt. Take heart, you'll still get spring over a month before I do.

Going by all the PSA 308 ARs that @98Z5V has helped fix. All of them are blems whether they admit it or not. But I get your point, its cheap!

They do petal open like that and at 50 yards will touch holes with my hand loads. I've probably taken half a dozen deer with them. I run mine 970-980 fps.
