  1. Yeah, if I do anything to the rifle, first thing will be a new trigger. I think it might be a long time before I can afford a can. lol.
  2. Well I wish I could take credit for building something that inexpensive, but I'm not sure it is possible. especially considering it isn't just a regular adjustable stock, pistol grip, fore grip, and an ambidextrous safety. We will see what the quality is though in time, if it can hit within 6in at 200 yards, that will be good enough for me. ;)
  3. Just picked it up from my dealer... now buying bullets and looking for an optic. ;)
  4. Here she is boys, needs a good cleaning and to be broken in but looks pretty good for $500 including FFL transfer fee. Also it came with a Gen3 Pmag. Buying some bullets right now and looking to see what I want for an optic.
  5. lol. all good. maybe their website is a little screwy with it not showing past purchases on your account, or maybe they do it on purpose so that when the liberals try and take guns away someday, the company then has less record of things. who knows. maybe the issue is they are gun guys and not techies. lol. either way, seems a good phone call during their working hours gets you everything you need very easily. just a little helpful hint for those that may deal with them in the future. On another note, looks like I am going to be purchasing ammo from e-arms.com. I have never dealt with them, but shipping is free and after comparing many websites, though there prices are more, they seem to be the cheapest since I don't have to worry about shipping. Nosler has a great deal on one of their hunting bullets, so going to purchase those straight from them. http://shop.nosler.com/nosler-ammunition-ammo/match-grade-300-aac-blackout-125gr-ballistic-tip-20-ct.html# gonna try a handful of things and see what works best in the rifle.
  6. No matter how many flag draped caskets you have had to salute, I feel it is impossible to hold it together when they play the status check and end of watch as you stand at attention saluting someone you knew. But nobody is ever alone in this.
  7. Good news! aimsurplus's phone number actually worked today! idk if they just disconnect their phones on their days/hours they aren't working, or what. I also got through to a gentleman immediately that was able to look up my order and tell me it is being delivered today! So besides the scare of not enough info of the bat on your order, aimsurplus seems pretty good so far when it comes to dealing with real people and they have some rocking prices on different things. So tomorrow I go to my dealer and get my fix on this rifle. ;) now looking for the cheapest possible optic I dare to try. haha
  8. In my experience, most rifles are more accurate than I am. and for the record, I never flitch... I just get excited for the bang. ;)
  9. amen to that
  10. I'm sure the snowflakes already have rubber dicks stocked in their closets
  11. If you are referring to stuff like nickel boron bcgs and stuff like that, with the limited amount of experience I have with them, they were easier to clean. Besides that I haven't seen much of a difference... again in my limited experience with them. And idk about you, but I don't get to shoot enough rounds to make it seem with an extra 50-100 bills for an easier clean. As for trigger, first you have to decide if you want single state or two stage trigger. Most of the hunting rifles I have used have been with single stage. I myself am a fan of a two stage because I have found it easier to know where my breaking point is and have a better squeeze of the trigger with a better follow through. Might be different for you. I suggest getting two rifles side by side, one single stage and one two stage and dry fire them to see which you prefer without having to worry about the rest of the functioning of the rifles.

  13. I would say target shooting, hunting animals where you need a lot of penetration, coyotes, or home defense. if you are hunting deer and other such animals, I would go with something that is made to mushroom pretty quickly and put the animal down fast. and like Malig8r said, you might want to try different bullets to see what works best in your rifle. I like to go with a nice ballistic tip that will keep my tips from getting deformed when they get chambered, yet still will expand nicely on impact as long as the bullet maintains enough speed (which it should at reasonable hunting distances.)
  14. lol. I used debit and it went through. will be checking my bank account tomorrow if I can't get ahold of anyone about the rifle. I know I had the money in there.
  15. I even tried to call their 1-888 number but it was disconnected and the other just gave a busy signal. cc? I have acronyms from the military and LE, I'm running out of space for more.
  16. To bad Massachusetts politicians are destroying part of what those original patriots fought for.
  17. Ok, so in my order there was never a tracking number and in my account on the website when I look at past purchases, there is none. I tried to contact aimsurplus.com via email and phone to get more information and have been unsuccessful in getting ahold of them. The gun store didn't think they had received the rifle yet either and don't look in the packages they receive, leaving the responsibility up to the purchaser to know when their rifle comes in. Anyone every deal with aimsurplus.com? Any suggestions?

  19. The world is a bit more of a pvssy without him.
  20. We are finally getting issued lvl III plates this spring. I have no clue what they are yet. But with all the .30-06s around these parts, I would love a light and thin lvl IV. I can deal with weight, bulk is my biggest issue having to get in and out of a car all the time.
