  1. I came across a Browning BPS that they only made one year (synthetic stock 20" barrel). I extended the tube with some Nordic stuff, however I had to turn down my own follower,(new) I added a really nice set of ghost sights and truly enjoy my sub $350 gun. I will try to post up some pictures tomorrow depending on how I feel when I get home. The chemo has been making me really tired.
  2. I was really surprised to see Wilson Combat selling their 338 barrels for $157.
  3. Well it looks like you had family time, which is important
  4. I've been using bonded soft tip rounds such as Ranger-T and Gold Dot and never noticed a decline in accuracy. Then again I'm only using them in the 100 to 400 yard range.
  5. Never found a place worse humidity wise than Okinawa. You would be wetter getting out of the shower than while you were in it.
  6. I'm to the point that I need another hobby. Looks interesting
  7. I was just going to post that.
  8. Yeah neither did I, the two officers in the video should seriously go back for some remedial training. There were way way way too many mistakes made. They had no control over the situation from what was showed, none. I'm not going to join in a debate about how it should of, or could of been, but they are very very fortunate one of them or a cilvilian didn't get maimed or kilked. How about the guy that may have been checking his mail minding his own business and here's 100 to 200 feet of separation between him and help. I was in the game when I was young, things were a lot different for us, people somewhat respected us and understood it was a two way street. I still have respect for the people that do the daily grind for next to nothing.
  9. Pretty certain that they do offer one.
  10. Matt got it,dude ot was a joke
  11. I would have knee capped him right off the bat, then gone and had a hamburger.
  12. About the only thing I will say is since you want to go with 7mm-08 it's going to be costly. Expect to possibly have a lot of problems to solve because of going off the beaten path. Do lots of reading and research before you buy ANYTHING.
  13. I remember living at Pendleton back in the 80's our Co spent the summer up north of fire fighter duty. After spending 35 years building infrastructure large gas lines would bother me the most. I see tge scientist are still saying the big one will be along in 30 years. When the big one does come you won't have to worry about it if you're at ground zero
  14. Pure and simple karma. The ONLY thing that I would have done differently would be to make sure that the robber was dead. Dead men tell no lies. "An employee got the money and put it on the counter, according to ABC 13, and deputies said when the suspect placed the gun down to pick up the money, the employee picked up the firearm and shot the suspect in the face." https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-fireworks-stand-gets-shot-in-face
  15. I ordered a couple of spare 16" 5.56 Ballistic advantage barrels for $88 ea. Normally $169. I need a few 308 spare barrels as well. Now is the time to stock up. Target Sports I've been buying CCI 22LR @ $0.04 & Federal @ $0.03 40,000 should be good enough for a while. I also stocked up on LC, 20 round boxes of 5.56 (not bulk) both 62 & 55gr for $225 a 1,000.
  16. Went in for assessment last week
  17. That's an understatement. What bothers me the most is not having the endurance to do a whole day away from home. I'm happy getting an hour or two away right now.
  18. That will make for a heavy gun
  19. I have been thinking about building something. Money is not the issue, energy is the problem.
  20. That ain't going to happen anytime soon
  21. Well, good news is my bloodwork is starting to come back to normal. I am almost back to normal for 90% of my panels.
  22. Than you everyone.
  23. More bloodwork, have a bunch of radiology stuff comming. My spleen is enlarged and this heart attack threw everything out of wack concerning my Non Hodgkin's lymphoma. It's treatable but fresh from a heart attack is making my treatment a bitch. We're gonna be good,I sure as shat shat didn't work all those years to not enjoy it. Worst comes to worst I could break bad.
  24. Off to the oncology Doctor today, some of my blood work was elevated and they are concerned. You know,I busted my ass since I was 13 years old and retired at 55 while still young enough to do more if I so chose. I have no wants, owe no one except God. All I want for is to finish out my life close to my wife, have peace without pain. As for the wife, I am the luckiest person ever. She was the first woman (not girl) I ever kissed. She was 18 and I was 15 and lied about my age. That woman has been curling my toes since 1978. If I can help someone along the way, all the better.
  25. That should be "Marry a Beaver"
