flippin' awesome! love those DD rails. It's a great mix of modern quad rail and old school A1/A2 stock which I love.

Built this for a friend over year ago. He was convinced he built too heavy a rifle for any backpack hunting. He loved it but is building a bolt action to cover his wants and needs. I did some trading and now this biggin' is mine! bwhahaha! My 3rd AeroP gun and I'm not sure if I want to keep it. Even though I gave him some ideas on parts to get but it's still his build and I'd swap a few parts out. It's just not me to buy a custom rifle. I believe thier barrels are made from a place called hitman indistries. this was from a rep of another company (ABC rifle company)who sold them. I dont think they are bad but was gonna pick up a 12.5 and shorten it to 10.5 due to good prices. Only 1 way to find out..

there's also a A1 stock(old school). it uses the rifle tube but is about 3/4" shorter than the A2. It discards the spacer that the A2 uses. I have both A1 and A2 stocks and it's a slight but noticable differance.

I called them and emailed them to get an answer and they are DPMS extensions. I even told them to make things more clear and pick a side. I dont think they cared.

I vote misaligned gas tube. it happens to the best of us sometimes.

Hera Arms makes only 308 DPMS "Low". Give them a look. I've never used them but notice theirs are LOW

Edge, I got 1 from Armalite direct. Other 2 from primary arms in correct matching bags like what came from Armalite direct. Same part numbers and same color of spring. Just thought it was odd they were different lengths. I had to ask. Thanks

Mine are genuine Armalite and all 3 appear short. All with in 1/2" but definitely short. 35 coils which includes the flat bottom portion as a coil aswell.

What is "spec". Meaning new uncompressed length? I got a new one measuring 13.4". My 2 in service with low life currently are 13.6-13.75".(less than 500rds each)

I've noticed that bear creek has better deals on their actual website. Bought a 8.5" 300 blk barrel for $35. Check the site first. It might still beat primary arms sale going on.

Video would be great. So many variables to this. I had a palmetto bcg be an issue in a ar15 do to a gas key not be tight and staked properly. Bcg didnt cycle or extract from lack of gas. Just one more idea and area to inspect.

Bought new 1 year ago to make a pistol. 300rds down pipe est. Went back and forth from barrels so this had been installed 3 times. Barrel nut was very snug sliding on everytime causing cosmetic wear as you can see. No gouging in barrel just poor finish. Gas port is pretty good size so I needed a adj gas block to make it cycle regardless of buffer weight. Not a fan of the cmmg 12.5 anymore. Willing to sell somewhat cheap. $110 shipped to lower 48. Paypal preferred.

Recently bought from another member here with good dealings. But going another route. Barrel is near new as described to me (40 round count). Great shape and I have no issues with it except I like my 16" guns. This while in my possession for a month has not moved from the safe. I'd do a trade for another similar quality 16" black/nitride finished barrel. Sorry NO stainless. Or I'd do $180 shipped to the lower 48. I'm an Aero guy and was interested in a Matrix build but haven't had luck with a reciever set in stock for months anywhere. Anyone find a 308 reciever set up avalible?

Great trigger for the cash. I have a older geissele 4.5lb trigger and the Larue is a bit crisper than the geissele. Good buy.

UPDATE!!! Got my armalite carbine gas tube a few days ago(6 days) and got around to installing it. Shot 20rds down pipe with no headaches. Just feels better to have the proper tube length. I was worried a bit but no ftf or fte. Cycled very well.
