  1. Pmags are hard to beat, most of mine are pmags and hex mags. I've had 0 malfunctions with both using the 6.5 and 308. that's the fun with these types of weapons is the variety of stuff you can get for one. doesn't hurt to experiment with other mags. but if you don't want to spend extra money, i'd try a pmag and if it works i'd stay with it. There are some good steel mags out there too.C products defense makes a good one. just start with one brand and see if they work and buy more if they do. I don't know anything about the 260 but I imagine it will fit and feed similar to the 6.5.
  2. So far this year this is what I have got, it was close range. he walked right under me. I had to let him walk by to get a shot. using the creedmpre again. I am in a tall tower stand on all these hunts and in a cutover. I am now using a 6.5 Grendel to hunt with.
  3. These two were shot at about 150 yards and about 30 minutes apart with a 308.
  4. Well ok, here goes. this was last season, they were taken at 700,450 and 300 yards. The hog was a bout 100 yards. these were all shot with a 6.5 creedmore
  5. Welcome, enjoy your stay here.
  6. One of my piston guns jams a lot, I haven't tried to fix it much. also haven't tried many kinds of ammo. the other one will shoot anything.
  7. I have two piston 10's, my take on them is more stuff to clean and heavier. some love them, I wouldn't buy one over a gas gun. but that's just me.
  8. Was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen. he's not a big one but i'll take him.
  9. Nice buck congrats
  10. Whatever you choose, have fun with it. i'm leaving back for the woods in about an hour. this pic was taken on a rainy day and i'm too old to get soaked so I truck hunted.lol seen five cross but none I wanted to shoot. it's a diamondback 6.5 creedmore.
  11. That really hurted muh feelers red.
  12. I'm partial to Diamondback rifles for the money. you can buy one for close to 700. all I know is they work. but you need to look around good to get a decent 308 in that range. think I give 750 for mine, the black ones were cheaper.
  13. Nice buck, congrats. I agree on the interesting and different mount. would be a conversation piece for sure.
  14. Stock is made by Hera arms.
  15. Unfortunately I have, he was governor here.
  16. Just leave your wallet at the local gun shop and replenish it every so often. save money for gas going back and forth picking up guns and parts though.
