BTW Im missing fingers so it should be easier for you fully digited folks <lmao>

They are difficult. Here's what I do. 1. Get a roll pin punch of the correct size. I prefer the ones with the radius. 2. I then take a piece of 1" wide masking tape and wrap it around the punch while overlapping half of the pin. Probably 3 or 4 wraps 3. Hammer the bitch in. The tape holds it in line but is no match for the hammer Alternatively I have done the same thing with the clear heat shrink tubing.

There's no love between those two. Anyhow i thought paying for contracts is the way the govt works, or is that just in Washington DC

Welcome to the site, good luck with the weapon

Excellent, the details are very helpful, thank you

ok just curious. I used to have some good dialogue with those folks. I know they were working on making their trigger so that it would work for the AR-15 and 308 rather than offer two different products

THE RIFLE FOR ANY HUNT! Be it prairie dog hunting in Texas, whitetail hunting in Maine or elk hunting in Colorado, the Colt SP901™ is the rifle for the hunt. Chambered in the classic .308 Winchester (7.62x51 NATO) cartridge, the SP901 is the perfect choice for medium to large sized game animals. Exceptional accuracy is assured by its full floated, 16" chrome lined barrel and one-piece monolithic upper receiver, suitable for mounting your optic of choice. Keeping the varmint hunter in mind, the .308 Winchester upper receiver group can be easily swapped out for any Mil-Spec Colt upper receiver chambered in .223 Rem (5.56x45 NATO). The fact that all operating controls are ambidextrous, including the magazine release, bolt catch and safety, makes for versatility and ease of use. You can depend on the new Colt SP901 to take the shot of your lifetime!

Problem with stuff like this is their is know way to verify the truthfulness of the story. I get enough email from folks with tin foil hats to be skeptical of a lot of whats posted on the web if there is no way for me to substantiate it.

I enjoyed this question. It made me realize how much has changed in the past two decades. Been at this long enough to feel like an old guy out of touch with prices when I look at guns I bought in my youth and see they have nearly if not doubled in price. Funny though The Beretta hasnt actually gone up as much as the the others. In September 1993 I paid $532.10 for my 92FC.

Now your missing the under $600 price point ;D

he ruled out polymer frames...thats the rub

Multi Caliber Designated Lowers and The Law
imschur replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
The thing I worry about with stuff like this is will the BATFE just make decisions as they see fit. They are the ones looking into this Multi Cal stuff. The asses in my home state are just jumping on the band wagon -
Well the weight sneaks up on you. Add a fully loaded magazine, bipod,PRS and a big optic. There no thread that I can recall that meets what your asking. Glad to help
