  2. very cute
  3. We have a few of these topics rolling around. Check out the "Heavy Buffer" threads as well as read Slash's posts. The info is here you just need to poke around a bit. Welcome to the site.
  4. I have not seen it recorded buy saw it live as it was a local event. He was a very strange dude..I mean really strange. The questions from the media were beyond ridiculous and insensitive. He avoided most of the hows and whats. The only comment that I recall making me do a double take was the question I mentioned earlier about the bullets. I think only once he commented but deferred the other comments to the police.
  5. Brilliant!!!
  6. Hey Tom I spoke with Roger and he is willing to accept direct deposit directly from your pay. Streamline the cash flow. <laughs>
  7. <laughs>
  8. :hah: :yup:
  9. I have no idea what a 5.56 round does to a small body body but the ME stated that the bullets stayed in the body as they were designed to do. I dunno I figured a 5.56 at close range with ball ammo would over penetrate a little in many cases. To me the ME was describing handgun wounds They are rushing the anti gun proposals with what I am sure will be very orchestrated timed releases of the "facts" to coincide with votes and publicity stunts
  10. I think your a sexy bitch <hump>
  11. As most know I live in CT, in fact not far from Sandy Hook. I must say I am to the point were other than the fact that there are 26 dead citizens I no longer believe anything that was reported. There were so many conflicting reports, then there were things the ME said that did not make sense to me. Today the local paper states the shooter did not have a bullet proof vest but more of a fishing vest. The whole thing smells

  13. oh for sure. Actually I have half of a plan but thats for another topic on my super light .22 AR project
  14. Because CT has an AWB I did not get many spares. Only so many paths to stay compliant. I have 2 lowers without a plan
  15. and minimally follow Slash's advice of running with Armalite buffers and Springs if you cant afford his stuff. He was dead on about the springs being inconsistent from folks like DPMS. Armalite LPK's are good too <thumbsup>
  16. It's funny I have received emails from several friends looking for various magazines. I had been telling them since last winter to start buying because CT already had magazines in their sites. All had bullshit stories or dismissed me as paranoid. So now they think Im going to be sympathetic and part with mine because they failed to listen. Im passing on the CTD link.
  17. President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden. According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he'll now make $231,900 per year. Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase. Here's the list of new wages, as attached to President Obama's executive order: [img height=358 width=513]http://www.weeklystandard.com/sites/all/files/images/pay.jpg "A new executive order has been issued providing for a new pay schedule beginning 'on the first day of the first applicable pay period beginning after March 27, 2013,'" reports FedSmith.com. "The pay raise will generally be about 1/2 of 1%." Jeryl Bier points to an example of the pay increase for average government executives: "Not much of an increase, but an increase all the same," Bier notes. And the timing isn't great either: Just as President Obama and Congress try to avert going over the "fiscal cliff," he doles out pay increases to federal workers.
  18. too late <laughs>
  19. I think the .308 will suit your needs fine. Does everything you need with plentiful, reasonably inexpensive ammunition. I don't think you need an additional upper in .243. jmho Heck The cost of the 243 upper and a little bit more $$$ can buy you a complete 5.56 AR-15
  20. Decided to get up early and see what you guys are up to <munch>
  21. This is not considered working. We call it "Hanging Out" <lmao>
