  1. Go ahead and get an appraisal on your soul, because it won't be long before this crowd has you needing more funds... ;)
  2. Hahahaha, that's a funny bit of machinist humor there. Definitely screwed up the whole way I perceived this thread...
  3. I do, my .454 Casull just doesn't have enough recoil anymore.....
  4. Go with 1:10, your life will be much easier.
  5. Your choice of barrel type will determine which type of bolt and gas system you must use. Armalite (AR10) and DPMS(SR25/LR308/etc etc) have their own proprietary bolt and gas systems, so it's practical to factor that into your barrel buying decision. I myself am very happy with an 18.5 mid-weight profile 1:10 twist barrel from Fulton Armory, it has done very well with everything I've run through it, but the heavier the bullet, the better it performs.
  6. That's not necessarily true. I'm running a 1:10 twist that works really well with the lighter rounds at close range and I can still rely on my heavier rounds at long range, and of course heavier rounds also do well at shorter ranges too, but only the slower twist will help the light rounds at significant distances, which isn't really practical anyways unless you want a varmint gun.
  7. Steeper twists will stabilize your heavier loads better, a more shallow twist will be less stable with the heavier bullets. As to which pattern, I was referring to DPMS(SR25 style) vs. Armalite(AR10 style) pattern. <thumbsup>
  8. I'd personally go with Krieger, but I have a business related bias against LW, so take it for what it's worth.... ;)
  9. Which pattern do you want? I may be able to help you...
  10. At this point I'm looking into a one-off solution to the problem, but thanks for checking in mrraley!
  11. I took care of it! <thumbsup>

    Heat!

Very lucky on your part. Residential techs usually get stuck with the worst two sides of a home to work in: The top, and the bottom. Neither are worth a flying fish turd 99.9% of the time.

    Heat!

I feel your pain brother. I've staggered out of so many 130 degree attics, dripping wet from head to toe, nearly dehydrated and drooling uncontrollably, and covered in that crappy old blown insulation. Needless to say, I don't miss it at all.
  14. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves... Poor Robo! >:D Hey Robo, just come on out here to the east coast. I'll let you put several hundred rounds downrange through the suppressor. I promise you it will soothe all that ails you. <thumbsup>
  15. Not far at all brother, come on down, we'll do some down-south hell raisin'. <thumbsup>
  16. OUCH! Right in the kisser! I think Robo didn't quite realize the size of the nest he poked... :hornet: <outtahere>
  17. We might not have to... >:D >:D C:-) >:D >:D
  18. Don't tempt me.... >:D <thumbsup>
  19. Look up the "SR Gold" as well. I think it's marketed under the brands PACT and ATC. Link: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/triggers-bottom-metals/triggers/ar-style-308-gold-trigger-module-prod45085.aspx
  20. Barrels and BCs are top notch. Triggers are well above average, but hardly premium.
  21. I can't honestly say "yes", but I can say that for price vs. accuracy/quality, they are easily at the top of their game. Besides that, you won't have to wait as long as you would with a higher cost custom barrel. I have to say, their barrels perform for me every bit as well as I do.
  22. Go with an 18" barrel , you can get a really excellent mid-weight rifle length profile from Fulton Armory for a very reasonable price. If color is critical, Cera-Kote it black.
