  1. So drive out with your guns in the Fall, (I fly with them in a lockable hard case) and in the meantime you can be buying whatever ammo you need at discount online and have it shipped to AZ and it'll be waiting for you when you get there.
  2. I honestly didn't even know brother... Pepper poppers are all kinds of sweet! I feel bad now...
  3. Is this anger and aggression? It looks a lot like anger and aggression.....
  4. An itinerary or schedule wouldn't hurt anything either, being that a few folks will probably just hang out at camp and shoot pistol or carbine during the Long Range and High Angle days, and yet more folks possibly moving between the two. Meals are also something that could use coordinating. I vote for having community breakfast and supper at camp, and lunch will be every man for himself on location. Something like sandwich provisions and drinks, etc. What are you guys thoughts on all that?
  5. I swear I've never seen anything like it.... *BOOM* "Miss, right side of target.." as t-post buckles and dumps weight of target on the other post. "Are you sure that missed? It felt right...."
  6. ^^^ That cannot be overstated. There will be tolerable discomfort from laughing your butt off for the duration of the shoot. I go for the shooting and I stay for the comedy.
  7. True, but the difference is negligible provided there's no cloud cover. We will have target illumination regardless, it's just a question of whether or not the moonlight will suffice on whatever weekend folks are able to come. You should plan on being there brother....
  8. We're just lobbing darts across a pitch-black basement for right now. When you know what you can do for sure, PM me or Tom and/or post it here. The main idea here is to let folks know what we're thinking in order to negotiate the best outcome. I know everyone's schedules won't coincide perfectly, but that's just how it is....
  9. 20th and 27th weekends look perfect!
  10. That's right you bunch of mouth- breathing, knuckle-dragging, slack-jawed deviants and misfits, the 2018 Fall Shoot is happening! The powers that be have determined that a Fall Shoot is in order, and as such you the 308ar.com community are invited! This thread will serve as the primary sounding board for availability and general ideas for the Fall Shoot, all input is most welcome. Proposed dates and other input to follow, so stay tuned!
  11. Don't threaten me with a good time, my pants are already down.
  12. I'll probably have the new arrivals shipped in their own cans, that way you can save your shekels for the truly exciting stuff. LoL Those 3 cans are a sweet sight!
  13. Guess what I just did....
  14. I do love a nice rack....
  15. PSA is closed on the weekend, they'll be in touch. In the meantime, PSA's issues with this platform aren't exactly undocumented. They will do right by you though. Sounds like your chamber is extremely tight...
  16. It's for clays sports, they're very common. Gives you a place to rest your scattergun muzzle whilst you wait your turn to shoot.
  17. I've got access to every size drill you can imagine. If you need one in particular, PM me and I'll send you whatever you need.
  18. Something to keep in mind when diagnosing a new build or new gun; nothing is broken in yet. You need to get the gun running in the simplest possible configuration until several hundred rounds have gone reliably downrange. Once the moving parts of your rifle have settled into a steady consistent 'working relationship', then you can adjust your gas system back knowing that you've eliminated the extra friction that results from all the parts being brand new.
  19. Go ahead, rub one out!
  20. Looks dry as a bone to me.... How wet are you running this thing? As for the gas block, you might find it less frustrating to start off with it all the way open, and close it as you shoot until the first malfunction.
  21. You gotta find out where he got those things. That slab 'o meat combined with my marinade would be the ultimate combo brother, I'm just sayin'....
  22. That's almost as big as the one Tom's folks fed us on Sunday....
  23. I think she overheard a conversation about the last Fall Shoot, she asked some follow-up questions, I was compelled to repeat what jokes I could remember... Anyways, the Spring Shoot was very cool, and the Fall Shoot promises to be outstanding as well.
  24. Tom's sister came out Sunday to get acquainted and do some shooting with us, here's a nice pic of her with Tom's bolt gun..... A really nice gal and a superb shot. Couldn't stop talking about how much she wanted to meet @suzukiray though, got a little bit annoying after a while. Still, was nice to meet her and send a few downrange together..
  25. I thought Maryland had strict gun laws, how did this happen?
