  1. Me too, but ask anybody who has met me if I fit the mold.... If the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it brother.
  2. Welcome to the forums, make yourself right at home here.
  3. Come to an AZ shoot and Tom and myself will workshop your sorry hide into dangerous proficiency. If you don't believe me, ask JB Matt, I doped him perfectly onto a first-round 300 yard hit, with his .45 ACP sidearm.
  4. Thus endeth the lesson.
  5. Pardon the expression, but the long and short of it is that your buffer tube length and your buffer length dictate the length of travel for your bolt carrier group. The spring and the weight of the buffer determine it's efficacy of function. When we can determine which components you have, we can remedy any incongruous components depending on what typical system your setup most closely resembles.
  6. I'm kinda hoping it's one of those $3.46 Amazon specials made with pride and child labor in Thailand.
  7. No judgement here bro, unless you're into that too...
  8. Trigger whore!
  9. If you're handloading I believe you can backset up to 200gr enough to fit the mag.
  10. I gotta stick with what will feed out of a PMAG, and I don't expect that anyone will stick around to complain that I should shoot a ballistically superior round at them. Other than you dorks of course....
  11. Having a Singer would be awesome, their 1911s are legendary and worth a fortune.
  12. He's preaching to the choir here, I haven't shot anything lighter than 165 grain in a .308 in over a decade now, typically 175s.
  13. GREG doesn't know what unnatural hole is...... ROFLMAO I've already got my Skymiles saved up for next Fall's shoot. GREG had better show up again is all I can say.
  14. That's what we're here for, helping you dole out cash..... Post up some target pics so we can bust your balls about your shooting skills!
  15. Based on what you've described, your issue sounds like the buffer length. Which is luckily easily fixed, if you are capable of using a drill and a hacksaw. Pull the charging handle and hold it as far to the rear as you possibly can, then manually engage the bolt release to catch the bolt. If the bolt catch doesn't hold the bolt to the rear when you release the charging handle, your buffer is probably too long.

Soft point only is going to be problematic for you. You'll want to find polymer tipped rounds that are designed to perform the same way and use those instead.
  17. Mortar that sucker, it's likely just needing to be soaking wet and a thorough break-in.
  18. SLR Sentry is a good one I can vouch for.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
  20. That's exactly right!
  21. Ya know, normal people would probably wonder why you're concerned with how bright the reticle is at night....
  22. I was expecting the wind to pick up or change direction. It seemed important at the time to get there before that happened.
  23. I feel ya brother. I got caught up in the moment with the 'it will look so cool on video' line of non-thinking.
  24. Welcome!
  25. So, is it a Savage or an Armalite? If it's made by Savage, the AR10 designation is incorrect. It's a very common mistake, but it becomes a costly mistake when it's time to buy aftermarket parts for a particular platform. Knowing the difference can (and hopefully does) save you a good deal of irritation and wasted time/money. Believe me, this place is going to cause you to need every cent you can possibly spare. Finally and foremost, welcome to the forums. Make yourself at home here!
