  1. Remoil is too light. Once you are fully broken in, it'd be ok. Until then, You need some heavy duty slick shiit. If you can break off a lug like this... it's already broken off inside. You can't possibly cause more force than what the rifle creates when firing. If you took it to a gunsmith, what do you think he'd do? I once heard a gun smith tell a customer, "I'm going to fix this in the back room because you're not going to want to watch what I have to do to your gun." Lol.
  2. You might be able to mallet it back into place, then try to pull it back again. Did I mention lube yet?
  3. First of all.... Shame on you for not using enough lube. That btich is dry as a bone. Second of all....
  4. There are different height FSGB's, like the F marked vs non-F marked. Definitely check out PRI or Vltor, as they're probably the pinnacle of FSGB's. I think ARMS makes one too.
  5. Light hammer spring
  6. What's the difference in barrel extention?
  7. It's a default setting. The 100 shows you passed the first tier of posts. I think the second tier is at 500.
  8. Now THAT is funny right there!!
  9. What do you want it to say? Just click on your name and then click on "edit profile" in the top right corner.
  10. I have several cans of Aervoe... I wonder if Urban Grey is one of them?
  11. I wish I didn't have to share this bad news with you all. It just came to my attention in the last few minutes and I couldn't postpone passing it on. Our dear friend, MicroGunner, has passed away. James Ernest "Ernie" Simms aka/ MicroGunner August 30, 1955 - June 5, 2015 Tampa, Florida http://hosting-1678.tributes.com/obituary/show/James-Ernest-Ernie-Simms-102550804 Most of you know him here. He was always a jovial member, getting his punches in with the guys and always being a positive contribution to our community. I don't have the physical ability to write about all his great qualities. We called him friend and we called him brother. He was a major part of our 308AR family and will be dearly and deeply missed. God has a great and wonderful addition to his kingdom. I hope he's stocked up on .22lr in preparation for Ernie. Vaya con Dios mi hermano.
  12. Wow! That is one hell of a paint job. It almost looks like ATACS. What's your secret?
  13. I've been using a XH buffer since the birth of my .308 almost 3 years ago. Despite being told not to, I use a Tubb CS flat spring as well. 147gr to 175gr. My rifle eats them up and spits them out. My brass lands about 2' to 3' away, directly to my right. A small pile of brass, easy to pick up.
  14. or you can still buy "a la carte"
  15. New link coming in the next day or two. Charging Handle + Trigger + Sights!!!
  16. They cut through at the nose... why not the eyes too?
  17. I'll make the call on Monday.
  18. We are just six short days from celebrating our independence by blowing off anew artillery of fireworks and sucking down copious amounts of cheap beer and processed, grilled meat... And one of the biggest sale times of the year. If you see a good sale for your favorite gun/tactical website, share your wealth of knowledge.
  19. You gotta own a .45 and you have to own a magnum of some kind. It's just the law.
  20. I'd be appreciative to even fall under the guidelines of the NFA... Stupid Cali has extra laws banning the exact same items, with near impossible exemptions.
  21. I think the challenge is set.... Tom has to drink 7 or more! Or a 5lbs bag of gummy bears.
  22. You give me a bottle of Ranch and that's a meal. TomAss has a point (he has a spot too)... Mr Raley can fill an armorer course in a hot nuclear flash. I know out here they're charging upwards of $400 to $500 a head, just to sit down. 10-15 guys to a 2-day class could pull $4k-$7500 in a weekend. The California trick is to get P.O.S.T. certified. Calif LE will only take POST certified courses because the state reimburses their training costs.
