  3. I agree that the weight loss is impressive. <thumbsup> Should we start sending "get well soon soon" cards now, or should we wait till after this rifle beats the crap out of your shoulder? That old CAR stock was nearly punishment on a 5.56, I'm scared of how it'll feel behind the .308 with barely any rifle weight to soak up the kick. I'm surprised you didn't go for the 14.5" barrel w/ pinned BABC for the few extra ounces.
  4. Primary Weapons sells a buffer tube with an extended lip that is supposed to assist with that tilt. Check it out here You can also try a heavier buffer or a carrier weight system.
  5. Anyone in the Houston area that has an idea where a young legal assistant should look for work? A friend of mine is moving out there ASAP for a new position and his fiancé is looking for work. Itd mean a lot to me if anyone could help me point her in the right direction.
  6. I too like the 1st, but the rifle should be on your other shoulder. We don't care about your ugly mug, we wanna see MOAR BOOM STICK!!! <laughs> :sniper: :hethan: :auto: :2nd:
  7. last part of my 7.62x39 build... A PWS FCS "Custom" threaded 1/2"x36.
  8. Whoa baby! Brownells, RRA, Rainier and PWS all sent their packages this week... So close I can almost taste it.
  9. I'm hard pressed about this deal. The fact that Edge wants it too, makes me want it more. >:D
  10. .223 6.8 SPC 7.62x40 WT 7.62x39
  11. Does the x3 "flip to side", or only QD?
  12. The crank is a $6 upgrade when purchased from their website. You should be willing to at least cover the cost of the upgrade.
  13. You keep trying to call the first shell a 6.5 Credmoor and you're teasing me?! As for the second shell. The rim looks to be an older style. The condition of the shell says old too. The shoulder and neck are hard to put my finger on. They look so close to many bullets. The first and fourth are near the same (if not identical) caliber. The third is obviously the smallest. The second is only slightly smaller than number one and four. I was originally thinking 5.45x39 on the third, but the base:shoulder ratio isn't right. I'm sticking with 5.56 NATO on that.
  14. 10" groups at 100 yards is unimaginable... I can't even begin to think that a bad barrel would be that bad. You say you had the barrel re-crowned, so I'm assuming you already disassembled and rebuilt the upper to check for issues? Perhaps you are shooting too heavy a bullet with too open of a twist. Are you slinging 180gr out of a 1:12 barrel? If I had a 10" group with a supposed "target" barrel, I'd be out to beat someone! I believe MADUCE owns one of these, but I'm not sure he's shot his yet. Perhaps he'll chime in here for some better answers.
  15. Wrong direction? Damn! OK, last try. 300 Rem SA Ultra Mag 6.5×52mm Mannlicher-Carcano... I'm really going out on a limb here. 5.56x45 300 Win Mag

  17. OH NO! Not this argument again. :hornet:
