  1. You can use any of them. The .308 AR differs from their AR15 brethren in the fact that the safety detent and spring are located above (and held in place by) the pistol grip, and not behind the receiver end plate. If you wish to use a Magpul MIAD grip, you will have to be creative about how that spring/detent are installed. Some people have been known to install a set screw behind the spring. Others have created mounts on the MIAD itself to hold the spring in place. As far as the MOE and MOE+ go, I am not sure what modifications (if any) are required before mounting. The Mega Arms MA-Ten does not require a Magpul Grip Wedge
  2. It's hard to tell from your picture... Does it look like this one?
  3. Battlecomp has stated that their product was not designed to affect the accuracy of a rifle. It's sole function was to control muzzle rise on full auto guns and reduce the time between follow-up shots on semi auto. They even went so far as to say that while they do not expect that a Battlecomp device will negatively affect your accuracy, if your intention was to make your rifle more accurate, they would rather you send your comp back for a full refund than give them negative reviews. Personally, I love the Battlecomp performance. It is 100% focused for the combat and competative shooters. If sub MOA long distance is your thing, shop for parts designed for that.
  4. Flawless design. I love mine (I have a set of Gen1 and Gen2). The price alone is reason enough to use them. I also have a set of Troy Micro DiOptic Tritium sights (a LOT more expensive)... and I still like my MBUS set more.
  5. I agree with you on a DI rifle. I think on a piston rifle you have the ability to take a few extra liberties you normally wouldn't. Especially if you are running a dry piston system, like the NiB rifles. I think as long as you aren't stompin through the mud and muck with your bolt locked back, you should be OK without a dust cover.
  6. It's kinda like the .45 GAP... No one really understood why we needed it, but damn it was expensive!
  7. calegalish and I had a PM conversation, and I warned about the 56mm possibly needing a riser under the scope mounts due to clearance issues to the picatinny. I'm pretty sure there are options for the 50mm without a riser, using just high scope mounts. The 56mm is where I was unfamiliar. Has anyone here mounted a scope, on their AR, with an objective larger than 50mm? FWIW, the documented FoV between the 50 and 56 is the same. The only difference i could find between the two is .2" or .3" eye relief... Which is not important if you have an adjustable PRS stock.
  8. Very nice! <thumbsup> Are you planning on a comp or a brake?
  9. That's a legitimate request... Done and done!
  10. Lol, you quoted the link. Here it is again.
  11. matech Indisputably one of the best rear sights available. If you're planning on running just irons for now, this is a superb option.
  12. Yup, that's what we're here for <thumbsup>
  13. :love4: :love4: :love4: Battle Arms Development, primarily our main man Roger Wang, has come through again for me. I just finished ordering two more short throw BADASS units and I couldn't be more happy with my experience. I know I couldn't have made it easy on the man. I shop like an idiot and can never do things in a mainstream manner. Despite how difficult I was, Roger has the patience of Job and was able to help me out with my order. BAD Inc's little B.A.D.A.S.S. unit has jumped from nothing to the #2 highest ranked item on Brownells.com in just one short year. It has surpassed Magpul's PRS stock and all of the Geissele triggers. In fact, it is only 6 more FIVE STAR ratings from being the number one item on their website.
  14. What caliber options are there?
  15. Iron sights are nice, but I don't think you'd ever use them. You'd enjoy putting that money into an upgraded scope. With all that rifle, I doubt you would ever turn a 3-18 below 9x, and you'd be pissed when trying to ring steel at 1K with only 18x. Take a look at this
  16. I think Jgun or Matt.Cross has the Lothar combo
  17. Crap! I don't know what's worse. Admitting I was an asshole, or admitting edgecrusher was right about something.
  18. I've always bought my BCG's complete. How do you pin the screws? I assume either a hammer and punch or maybe an arbor press. Pinning seems so permanent, why not weld?
  19. Welcome! I look forward to seeing the completed rifle <munch>
  20. Great looking rifle! Honestly though, with that much rifle are you ever going to shoot <100 yards? Why limit yourself with that scope? Save yourself the $250+ from the Troy BUIS and get a bigger scope. You have the workings to shoot at the max range of the bullet, except you won't be able to see that far at 18x. With a bit more magnification you could do 1k-1200 with no problem at all. BUIS, especially with Tritium, are a necessity for a battle rifle. When your rifle tips the scale near 20# all decked out and geared up, your "battle" options are limited. The whole point of BUIS is that you need to quickly aim and your primary sights are down.... Is that really needed? On the other hand, Troy DiOptic sights are sexy and cool. You would be totally justified in saying, "shut your mouth Robocop. I like them and I want them." That's actually enough justification for me.
  21. I stand corrected. Thanks for the input SS <thumbsup>
  22. Who did you buy the barrel from?
