  1. VLTOR makes a low pro gb as well. It's not adjustable though.
  2. I agree. My 308 bolt rifle flung a 165gr soft point through the ear canal of a +300 lbs black bear. That bugger was DRT (Dead Right There). I can't imagine hunting anything much bigger than that in N. America and expecting different results.
  3. Holy crap Batman! I thought an 80% lower meant that 80% of the work was already done for you... Now I realize that there is still 80% of the work that needs to be done.
  4. I wish I had a basement... That's a legit "man CAVE". I have that same compressor... LOVE IT :love4:
  5. Welcome to our club house. I'm up in the nor-Cal area. I'm pretty sure that we aren't allowed the AR10's here. They were specifically identified in the AWB. Since you're already down there, you should check in with JD Machine for an AR10 or LR308 compatible model.
  6. :o I recently purchased the PRI version for my lightweight build. I would have picked the VLTOR "VST-1C", but it didn't come in a .625 I'm putting the PRI .625 flip-sight/gas-block on a Daniel Defense Mid Length 14.5" LW CHF barrel. Just ordered both from MidwayUSA PS. If anyone is making a MidwayUSA.com order anytime soon, let me know if you need my promo codes. I won't be using them in time. They expire 2/19/2012. I still have the codes for $10 off $100 orders, $20 off $200 orders, $30 off $300 orders, $50 off $500 orders.
  7. And cheap too!

    Barrett?

Can you imagine the size of the shit this shooter dropped when he went Ka-Boom?? A boom that size could change a mans religion, or make him find one. WOW!
  9. This is the one I was talking about... but I'm sure there are more. http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Products.aspx?CAT=288
  10. The easiest way would be http://www.9mmar.com The mags there aren't expensive and they are in stock. There is a 9mm version that uses Glock magazines. You can go from 10-32 round mags. What mag is more common than a Glock 9mm??? A lot of the .45ACP versions (Not Olympic Arms) use Grease Gun mags. They are every where, and run about $20 per mag. There is a Thompson 45 magazine version, but those mags are expensive. http://rmwxtreme.com/ makes a 7.62x25 that is pretty popular. SUPER cheap to shoot too. I'm not 100% sure which mags they use, but I understand that they are also cheap and plentiful.
  11. Get fancy and do the A.R.M.S. folding FSGB <thumbsup>
  12. Is that a water transfer printing? Or a very unique anodizing? I know Christensen Arms does a very similar water transfer print as well.
  13. Lol, last box lands on 02/16 (per UPS tracking). I'll post up just after.
  14. All my backorders from Midway and Brownells came in at the same time. $700 later and my ultra lightweight 5.56 is almost finished.
  15. Possibly. Although, US armed forces like to stick with American products. Especially the USMC. As nice as the FN is, I don't think it was designed to withstand the trials of the sandbox. I also don't see any FN beating a tricked out Rem 700... Call it American pride ;)
  16. Going Left to right; #1-10 1. M-40A5 (M-40A3 with threaded barrel and Surefire Silencer) 2. M110 3. M110 4. *OBSCURED 5. M110 6. M-40A3 (M-40A1 with adjustable stock and crowned barrel) 7. M110 8. M110 9. M-40A3 10. Barrett That's my guess <dontknow> The M-40A1 is a military tricked out Remington Mod 700. The M110, as you all know, is a tricked out KAC SR25/Mk11 Mod 0
  17. I'd like it more if they made a lighter weight version of it. I'm good with my ACS stock till that day.
  18. My avatar is missing?
  19. I used the rifle length tube on my .308. When I tigtend it up I used a strap wrench to make it really snug.

    BFG

Mentiroso! As long as you get paid enough to cover the cost of ammo, you know you'll keep shooting! :auto:
  21. The Magpul UBR stock is a complete package. The only thing you need to add is an appropriate length spring and buffer. .308 Carbine Buffer Spring .308 Carbine Buffer Assembly Sorry, I know they are both out of stock. If you are just changing from one carbine stock to a UBR, you should have no issue using the same spring and buffer again.
  22. Yes! Awesome quote! <thumbsup>
  23. I think you might have a combo of two issues. I think the buffer is fine. Your spring seems a little short. I don't have a standard spring to measure, but I'll measure my CS flat spring as soon as I get home. Did you get your buffer assembly as a kit, or piece by piece? Is there a possibility you are using a carbine length spring with a full length buffer?
