  1. I'm not a Glock fan... but I am in love with their magazines (not specifically "Glock" brand). Their magical ability to defy space and matter, allowing inconceivable amounts of ammo in a lightweight body.... all for under $20. Sig won't send me a bumper sticker for less than $20. I own a P226 .40 now. Been carrying it on duty, off and on, for 15 years. I tried the P220 and the P227, and both failed me in duty. The P226 is getting retired for a Glock 41 MOS and getting turned into my Class-A show piece... and possibly converted into a 9mm.
  2. it comes in a slick frame or textured frame. The slick frame is for custom stippling.
  3. They have a compact frame come soon, the PF940C. Fits the 19 & 23. It look really good with the true 1913 rail and flat grip. Www.polymer80.com
  4. I sure as hell ain't spending $200 just to drop a mag. Didnt Dirk know someone doing something similar?
  5. OK, which one of you SOB's knows these guys?? https://crossarmory.com/
  6. I was going to say something... but I forgot Shepp likes this part of his job more than me. I'll let him have he honors if it goes that far I can't help but think there's a CMMG part in here that wasn't mentioned. Just call it my gun-racist intuition. Fact is there are several issues at play here to bring this to a boil. 1. Having personally played with the Elftmann triggers... not just one or two... all of them... EVERY model they have... including the prototype they designed for a bullpup rifle... I can say that the Elftmann is not a simple "AR-15 trigger". The problem you had isn't unknown and is correctable, but whatever. If you hate it, I'll give you $50 for the trigger. **Edit: They have a new 7.62x39 trigger I didn't play with....yet! 2. SHOT Show just ended a week and a half ago. Many of the companies stayed several more days in Las Vegas to actually enjoy their weekend. I spent a considerable amount of time with Elftmann at SHOT this year. They were VERY busy.... and VERY tired. CMC and Hyperfire were two of the biggest companies showing at SHOW. CMC was actually a show sponsor. If you tried reaching Elftmann (or any firearms related company) in January, you should have some reasonable expectation to have a delayed response. Your email was likely triaged based on the order it came in. Joining a new forum is always difficult, especially when it has members who've contributed YEARS of input. The weight of a product review and opinion is heavily based on the reputation of the writer. Far too often is a disgruntled customer prone to searching out every available forum and then copy/pasting their dirty laundry as a "warning" to others... simply because they had an expectation of Starbucks-style customer service.
  7. Oh, imagine that Marlin cut down to 14" with a SilencerCo Osprey on the end..... let that marinate for a bit.... sexy!
  8. Hang steel with steel. Rope gets destroyed with bullet fragments. A buddy of mine said he used a sawzall to cut strips from an old tire. Then he ran steel bolts through it the hang his steel. The cost was nothing and it packs up real easy. I've meant to do something similar for some time now. Likely with some large S-Hooks at the top for hangin.
  9. When I was a kid, I used to shoot from one of these. best portable shooting table a kid could ask for.
  10. I wouldn't consider it "neutered" but definitely different. The JJF is $3500, but the Ares/Fight Light version sells for about $1200.
  11. I took this picture at Jesse James booth at SHOT2017. This is his "economy line"… For $3500!? the fancier model had a $4500 price tag.
  12. Ares Defense is defunct and now goes by the name "Fight Light". They still however make the SCR lower receiver, which is modeled after a Remington 1100. From what I was able to find out, JJ may have licensed out the SCR receiver to make his own concept. I have a similar concept in mind, with a slightly different take on the magazine release... and hopefully be Magpul SGA compatible. I had very brief talks with Elftmann to take a look at the trigger system. They said they'd be interested at looking into this further..... who knows!?!
  13. I might have a Nevada mailing address… Just saying
  14. … And I still can't order one! You would think that he would still make sales to California?
  15. Definitely not the worst transgression.
  16. I thought the same, until I saw my post.
  17. It's for manual range finding. Binos also give a 3D image back to your eyes. A spotting scope is higher mag, but only 2D.
  18. If you guys haven't seen the .25-45 Sharps yet, it's worth a peek.
  19. I'm with 98z on the .260
  20. I like 8x binos. Good 10x are too $$$ and anything over 10x are usually too shaky for me to use. I have a set of Nikon 8x in my bag. My old man has a Swarovski 10x that I've tried to steal several times.
  21. And his email, and his website, and his social media...
  22. In all fairness to the OP... it does not appear that @lokiweapons (Owner: Luke Stephens) is or was affiliated with the former company, also known as LOKI Weapons Systems. The original company was out of Oklahoma, while the new company is out of North Carolina. While the names are near identical, their logos are significantly different, as is their product inventory and services. For those of of you who don't know about the OLD company, here's a little history. Those of us that were burned, will never forget. http://forums.brianenos.com/index.php?/topic/163998-loki-still-in-business/ http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2012/12/14/loki-weapons-systems-is-no-more/ http://calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=634551 I had first hand experience with the original company, with good and bad results. I hold my opinion based on my almost neutral experience. I'm sorry all this all came up again. I just didn't want to see any misconceptions.
  23. I can never get the video to play.... just constant loading screen.
