  1. Speaking of the .17WSM... I'm very tempted to make a California exempt rifle and trying to market it out here. The only issue I'm running into the EXTREME price of the magazines. Makes me wonder if I can make my own... maybe an insert for a standard mag, kinda like Colt did for their .22lr conversion. I have ten of the Colt 20rd mags converted into 10rd .22lr mags.
  2. I almost bought an upper in .17WSM just because the price of ammo vs .22lr was close enough to consider the transition.
  3. What's this world coming to when two .22lr = one 7.62x39 how about 5 = 1 .308!!!
  4. Don't worry, the Dutch have us covered. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/national/health-science/lab-grown-meat-is-in-your-future-and-it-may-be-healthier-than-the-real-stuff/2016/05/02/aa893f34-e630-11e5-a6f3-21ccdbc5f74e_story.html?client=safari
  5. Mil spec is mil spec... as long as it isn't CMMG. The only time to buy up is when you want features; billet, side-charge, etc.
  6. Mega used to make one for the AR15. I still own one. Not sure if they made a bigger version though.
  7. You should do a single point instead. Just put a rear QD attachment point near the castle nut/receiver in place.
  8. I think even if suppressors were legal here, since I don't reload, I'd probably go with a .45ACP build over the .300Blk. I really REALLY like the 300Blk, but it is just too hard to feed in Cali and I don't get to take advantage of any of the advantages. I owned a 14.5" for a while, but I eventually ditched the barrel for other projects.
  9. If I reloaded and/or shot suppressed, I'd go .300Blk. You can't deny it's a better performing projectile. Unfortunately, I do neither, so I chose the x39
  10. I grabbed a handful of ASC mags. I never found a CPD or DH mag that I could ship into my state.
  11. My addiction is contagious.... 98Z5V doesn't own a AR47.... yet. I have to work in that. I may have to put a 7.62x39 bolt in the mail.
  12. I was wondering when I said that....
  13. I spent a bunch of Jacob's money tonight, being a bad influence.... Now we have to save his skinny butt before Mrs. Beach takes a chunk out of it!!! He's already got my order... I have something special planned!
  14. California Options; I can't condone this option due to my career choice, but as FREE MEN you ALWAYS have the option, right or wrong, to not comply. Just understand the consequences. Install one of the newly designed "magazine lock" devices, and hope they are considered "legal". *NEW* Prince "Freedom" Bullet Button AR Mag Lock Franklin Armory DFM conversion Make a "Featureless" rifle; by removing a telescopic/folding/thumb-hole stock, pistol grip, foreword vertical grip, bayonet lug, grenade/flare launcher and flash suppressor (basically, making a Mini-14 or M1a) you can now have a semi-automatic, center-fire rifle, with a detachable magazine. As long as the "fixed" magazine is 10 rounds or less, and the overall length of the rifle is at least 30". This is where the "new" stocks come from, and all the kydex pistol grip wraps. The biggest companies making products are; Thordsen Customs Exile Machine Hera Arms (but I don't think the CA version has been released yet, as it's not listed on their site.) Register the rifle as a "California Assault Weapon"..... The only problem with this is that the criteria for "registering" has not changed. To date, only two "groups" of persons are allowed to register an AW in Cali, so if you don't belong to one of these groups... good luck! A full time peace officer WITH a signed letter from his/her Chief of Police authorizing the registration. A License Hollywood Prop designer/caretaker (who can be audited regularly, without notice, by CA-DOJ). Needless to say, the options aren't "great" but there are a few.... and more and more are coming out every day.
  15. Just before Folsom Blvd hits Alhambra Blvd, in the MidTown/EastSac area. I think it's on the corner of 32nd or 33rd street.
  16. Ps. I've been trying to go to lunch at the new Kru location, on Folsom Blvd, since it opened. I'm planning on trying Tues or Wed.
  17. I'm a big fan of Kru in midtown, or Sky in EDH. I'll never turn down Mikuni. I used to be really fat, so I'm not afraid of all of the "all you can eat" places in Davis.
  18. Ed, we live in the same town. Why are we not eating sushi!?!?
  19. I like the fish that sits on top of a ball of rice... wrapped in seaweed... with lots of spicy stuff to dip it in. Yum!
  20. We all know what tits look like too... but we're not turning down the opportunity to see a new pair!!!
  21. I remember... but they could've put a hair more effort into the labeling.
  22. Why call it a Gen 2??? Ugh!! I was going to be impressed if they actually made a true Gii compatible rifle. Oh well. Add further to the confusion of the 308AR.
  23. Do we have any members in the Columbus area?
  24. If you are dremmel savvy, have at it. It's a lot easier than you think.
  25. Force it. Break out the BFH if needed. If you don't know what you're doing, a dremmel will completely FUQ your situation up.
