  1. Sorry Robo, I will personally do all this guys rifle and gunsmithing work to help him have more time preparing his campaign……. nice platform YOU HAVE MY VOTE CES777
  2. best fixed stock. period. also a good option, no cutting required
  3. I am not sure, but Unforgiven may have bought both a brake/comp and a heavy buffer to run in his lar-8. <munch> Yes, the buffer does take some punch out. I run a heavy buffer in both my 308ar's.
  4. I think you should sight it in. The Troy ft gas block sight you have is correct for this application, that 1/8 is a real difference when you are talking about sights. What Robocop showed is an alternate way to mount the ft sight to the gas block if a specific gas block sight is not available.
  5. Two options are a heavier buffer, I like heavy buffers.com, call Clint, hell definitely help you out. The other option is a carrier weight System from tubbs, it comes with two weights that go in an inset, which goes in your bcg
  6. Fantastic! Happy bday! And what was that you were buying??? <munch>
  7. Welcome, and we want pics too!
  8. welcome, its twice as fun and twice the money!
  9. 40 seconds in…. thats all i have to say
  10. I like what I see so far, nice choices. I suggest a bad-ass safety lever from battle arms and a troy ambi mag release.
  11. hah! that's funny, I jokingly added a scope to the baby registry and sent it to the wife then promptly took it off by the time she called… she was laughing on the outside but one has to wonder... ::)
  12. just say no…. tell her you need it to ride with me in the spring…. when we can finally get together… shoot and ride…. before academy starts!
  13. Trust me, we aren't mad about what he spent, the great part about the .308ar is we can have what we want, you may have missed the part of where manufacturers are the ones who care, as it differentiates their products from others…. unless you are one of those guys who is ok with liking chevy mustangs and ford barracudas…. maybe you see the point in different context. it's their name, their products. unless you've owned both or have range time on both, you really can't bash the other, and we aren't bashing DPMS. I own a LaRue, but couldn't tell you if it stands up to or over a LWRC, DPMS, or an Armalite. all I know is what I can shoot with my rifle.
  14. very nice, would like to get a roadie, someday…… need two bassenettes and some more baby goods before i can spend me money ???
  15. welcome I have no personal experience with NiB coatings, but I have not heard of any issue using the NiB carriers with in the receivers. The Rainier barrels are excellent, also check out Fulton Armory. You can most likely use an 18" barrel to get to 800 yds, just to open your options up some. You will need a DPMS style bolt carrier group, not the Armalite, and you may want to re-think the mil-spec trigger to something a little better, it'll be the thing you notice most.
  16. great, the list gets bigger. still need balcs armor for my c.i.r.a.s
  17. i may have one laying around, can i check tomorrow? it is yours if i still have it
  18. I like the open back for warm weather, is it us palm?
  19. Sorry, learned from the best on how to railroad a thread, not to mention its not often you leave yourself open like that
  20. It's his .308ar.com tramp stamp! <laughs> <lmao> (hiding from gunfire ) :o
  21. Awesome, would not have predicted that! Maybe there is hope yet!
  22. Didn't see it, at work. Bet Romney looked like an ass, seen it first hand when he was our governor. Obama is an eloquent speaker, although I don't care for the words coming out of his mouth usually.
  23. I'll have to get a black and an fde one, soon as I need another safety
  24. congrads my good man, enjoy every minute!
  25. sounds good , count me in <thumbsup>
