  1. ok, so i just placed an order with larue, xps2 is ordered with lt110 mt. thanks for the info. see orders in mail for rest of info.
  2. here you go, and i know, i have a larue issue but they do make some nice stuff http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=45
  3. welcome to the forum, and sorry, go wings and bruins. (from mass, but still love stevie y) assuming blackhawkkid is the hockey not the helo
  4. hockey, hockey, and yes, hockey. my fiance and i play outdoor soccer.we play basketball and football after work sometimes. i used to race an rc51 in club racing at pocono and loudon, boy do i miss that bad boy. i help my father wrench on his drag car, learning mostly as much as possible. i have a daughter who is 5 and is starting soccer and takes up quite a bit of time. between all this and my house i try to squeeze in some shooting when it's nice. if hockey wasn't so much fun i would have way more time and money. i also ride a jamis dakar mtn bike with my dogs in the woods, and in the winter i snowboard and snowshoe. i have a favorable schedule at work, 4 days on, 4 off, 12 hr shifts at night 7-7am.
  5. pri has a gas block
  6. <munch> well ? don't think you can hold out now <munch>
  7. sounds like he is finding his outlet, congrads. now if your not to disappointed in my shooting, i like the sound of a run and gun course. i'm an excersize junky, and summer hockey season is finally ending and onto the good winter leagues. i'll try to get some range time in before i get there <thumbsup>
  8. Thank you 98z5v, good points. I guess I need to try to find one to look through. Have you tried the xps models at all? I like the smaller size for weight savings but I wonder if the sight iis smaller. Also is it worth getting the magnifiers for either set up? It always seemed to me if it'd flipped to the side it would be distracting or flopping around, and not sure if its worth the investment.
  9. I vote for the violator, <thumbsup> <munch>
  10. I've done a few AR15 builds but this is my first .308 and money is flowing like water :( The BCG url is http://www.shop.ar15hardware.com/Bolt-Carrier-Group-308-BCG-308.htm Thanks Welcome to the 308 platform, I won't get any cheaper when you start shooting, but I bet any amount of money you have a smile ear to ear.
  11. Good taste anyhow <thumbsup>
  12. yes, i like the larue mount, and i think i'm going to do a bulk purchase with the light combo too. i want to finish this rifle before i decide whether or not my next one, my first build, will be a 5.56 or 7.62, using a ma-ten or a pre-ban 15 lower, ect ect ect. like you i live in a ban state, next door in mass, and wouldn't mind having a sbr or even a rifle with a collapsable stock . Surprised no one is jumping in on this as much as I thought. I may get the PRO
  13. it is with the mount, $550, you have to specify the LT129 mount and add the $25, but still cheaper than buying each separately, assuming $400 for the PRO
  14. i'm going to compare your responses to this post, i want opinionated responses because i haven't used either. the closest i have used is the sightmark red dot on my gsg 5, which i like but is a much smaller profile and less rugged design and won't hold up under .308 conditions. i really do like that PRO,weaponizer, and your pics are great. i want to put it in a larue LT129 mount. http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=534 this is what i'm looking at along with this light combo http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=514 to go on this
  15. wash, have you guys tried any other stock options, or is your gf good for now? the prs and ctr both work okay for my fiance and they have similar ummm… shouldering issues
  16. I looked and could not find a post of this nature. What I'm looking for is first hand opinions on aimpoints vs eotech sights. I'm looking at putting one or the other on my Pws as my primary optic, and I want first hand discriptions as why you may prefer one over the other. Weaponizer, I would really like to hear from you on your recent pro purchase.
  17. Feel like I was just handed a soup sandwich :o
  18. Figures I'm visiting you next. :o
  19. I think wash has been holding out on us. Now I know why yourrifles are referred to as lil. My fiance has similar issues and likes my prs stock, I think it's slimmer than the acs.
  20. i did not build with one but i know my larue has one ;D
  21. as long as they are qc'ing parts thats good, if they were letting bad parts in the field for failure, that would be a terrible
  22. i have a larue 20" obr and wish my wait was 12 weeks when i ordered. although i was on board early, i don't regret and would totally recommend a larue obr or predatAR. my obr shoots with rediculous accuracy, never had a malfuntion. tight build, high quality, i can go on and on. ;D
  23. autozone will check it for free, o2 sensors aren't hard to replace if that's the problem. keep us abreast, i can talk you through most repairs, assuming you have the tools
  24. if you don't mind, where did you get it?
