  1. go for it chill, although i got nothin for donations, sorry brother, i will back you emotionally <thumbsup> <laughs> :o
  2. weaponizer, i want a full report on that, i'm taking a hard look at it for my pws. fall is coming and i plan on getting ready to put some rounds down range.
  3. in time for october ? <munch>
  4. next year you come here and shoot mine <thumbsup>, i'll make sure i stock up on gmm
  5. <thumbsup>, those as great looking rifles, welcome to the forum
  6. lucky for the fish, but not your wallet <lmao>
  7. oh yeah, october will be fun. my local range has had some bad luck and been made an example of, so rules are very strict. no running with scissors, walking and chewing gum, ect. i like her attitude, more pissed about being taped while having a bad mag than anything. she can definately help out my fiance, who will die during the zombie attacks, not for lack of accuracy but her slow ass taking her time. the paper zombies and "zombie turkeys" barely let her escape harm as it is. i still can't get her to just do a mag dump for the fun of it. <dontknow> good stuff, and now i have to add the cws to my list for both my .308's just to see. and as for extreme conditions, survivalshop, i can do the winter testing, but somehow i think that they'll still pass. it gets nice and cold up here in the winter, but you'll have to find someone else to dump their rifle in the crap, i'll carry mine overhead thank you.
  8. I like the dmr <thumbsup>
  9. Good luck getting one and I believe proprietary
  10. I vote for the ps90. You get 50 rd mags, true ambidextrous ability for you being lefty, an excellent cartridge, and you can buy an upper for an Ar to expand on that platform. I like hk weapons but they don't accept mags other than hk mags, and they are pricey. Don't get me wrong, I love the psg1 and the g36c. I can't weigh in on the baretta other than you have .45's to start with
  11. have you tried finding something close online in a search? there may be a retailer out there sitting on a rifle close to what you're looking for http://www.impactguns.com/panther-308-lr-bull-24-rifle-rflr-308-884451000051.aspx?affId=105730 i found several, without the forward assist, but a like rifle
  12. I like killing cardboard baddies, currently try to find some scrap around work to make a steel bad guy
  13. I'm interested in the CSS in your .308. I have looked at that system but was unsure on how it would affect my rifles. Maybe an October demonstration?
  14. before you go putting all kinds of money into it, unless you have it, in which case share your secret, you already said it shoots well enough. I see what you're talking about, and while it would bother me some, as long as it shot i think i could live with it, unless you want it as a showpiece gun. this is just my opinion, and and certainly does not reflect the ideas of everybody. i have shot one ak, it was a friends chinese version with us palm parts, and it too had "character". i think there is lots of options for rails and optic adapters so if looking down the sights bothers you that may be an option, but as a plinker i say leave it, you'll never feel bad about bump firing it, running hard and throwing a patch through at the end of the day and not worrying about a new scratch or something like that.
  15. My local butcher sharpens mine free of charge, well minus the cost of my porterhouse <thumbsup>((kitchen knives)) everything else is an Arkansas stone wet with mineral oil
  16. Welcome. <thumbsup>
  17. <lmao> <laughs> <lmao>…….. <munch> <munch>
  18. ok, i'm a little old school. i don't know anything about sharpening systems, but weaponizer, i have always been taught not to put a knife on a wheel. the heat cycle put into the blade weakens or can deform the steel. i use sharpening stones, wet, and yes it's slow but i can get them sharp enough to shave the hair off my arm.
  19. i don't want to start the debate between the di/piston, what i can say is that my pws mk214 has functioned flawless, is a well put together rifle that's nice and tight, shoots well (i don't have optics on it yet, i plan on an aimpoint, but with irons at 50yds i get 1 1/2"-2" groups, could be better with an optic) and i can't think of any reason i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. this probably doesn't help much but no negatives at least.
  20. if this is the case, 98z5v, that option is out, as i was about to buy "virgin preban lower". which i guess is okay, because new ones are cheaper and better made. but having as a pistol first would've enabled me to shoot while i waited for paperwork. now i think it'll be a larue stealth set, when i'm not so poor, just got engaged saturday and her ring set me back a bit :o :o. maybe i can get a larue gift card out of it ;D
  21. you don't have to change the gas block to an adjustable gas block unless: 1. you want to 2: you think you're rifle isn't functioning properly and is over-gassed 3: need a lo pro to get a rifle length hand guard on
  22. that seems extreme, no parts allowed near it? now you're just trying to get me to fill another safe aren't you :o
  23. ok, i'm on board with drew, fighting a migraine, help me out, i promise to read in full when well
  24. yes bud, gtg <thumbsup>. the stock choice doesn't have any affect on your gas system. the buffer used is only directly related to the stock. because you have a rifle length gas system that does not mean you need a rifle buffer, unless you are using a fixed stock which requires one (a1, prs, ect.). when you bought your complete lower from armalite, you bought a ready to go lower that only required pinning to an upper. now go shoot your stick!
  25. even so, baron is good to go <thumbsup>
