  1. Nope. Nobody cares because they were nothing but problems. Also not compatible with any other brand...
  2. Dammit, text for info inbound
  3. My HK USC to UMP conversion. It's always up next..... till it's not. The only way it doesn't happen this spring if that LWRC SMG comes out...
  4. Working but planning out a big leftover dinner for my day off. Happy turkey day you turkeys
  5. Ugh, I have an early model, not sure what mod. I got it preorder.
  6. Not quite sure why you'd be so upset no one commented. It's the holidays and most people here have full time jobs. Also I don't think anyone said it can't be done with out help, but it's always been noted these aren't as easy as small frame Guns. Good job figuring out the issue.
  7. Well, sort of. Those of us who have been here and gone through this would recommend the .308 parts kit because the bolt catch is the necessary part. Why cheap out for a few bucks just to have to buy it down the road. My Maten build sports Armalite parts kit, for this very reason. There are several threads on this. Survival Shop has posted his side by side pic numerous times showing the difference. You should look around the site, it'll answer most if your questions.
  8. Home sweet home!
  9. I think I need to find you some time off and a case of beer..... The suspense is kiling me
  10. Not sure what agency you are using this for or what your department has for policy for ROE, but a .308 is heavy for most. Only our snipers are using them and those are GAP bolt guns. 2.5-10x is more than enough. I'm sure your training covered engagement distances and most occur within 30 yds. Most snipers never engage further than 150. Too much collateral. So... all this leads me to this question, where do you work and why .308?
  11. Btw, funny thing around here lately... liberal compliance.... not sure why?
  12. Love it Tom, those of us on this side of the line are grateful!
  13. What barrel did you end up with? She's a beaut!
  14. Gentlemen, lately there has been some animosity in threads. I have also seen people trolling other members. None of this is acceptable in this community. I'm not always here, but I can guarantee that it stops now. Many members here have extensive experience in the building and operations of these weapons. While it is acceptable to ask questions (and encouraged), accept answers that are given. If you want to know specific background info on why that answer was given, ask, but understand many things have been tried and have failed during the construction of of these rifles. If you are hear to learn, contribute, and join a family of brothers, expect to be treated like one. If you are sensitive to criticism, then sorry, but this may not be a home for you. There's lots of information archived here. Read up. Chances there is reasons we answer the way we do when there are 35 threads describing your issue or interest in a part and the outcome. Signed, not your mom or babysitter
  15. Wash is trying to point out that with this platform not all of the gimmick parts will work. If you are building your first, sometimes it needs some tuning and adjustments to be reliable and function. New ideas that may work for the smaller platform don't always work here.
  16. Knock, knock... Who's there?
  17. Or if none of these fit the bill (I'm a big fan of mega, they are almost exclusively all I build with), start buying other parts. Finish your upper and lower first with out owning them.
  18. Ferrari Trofeo races at Lime Rock Park today. Most pictures are on a camera but here are a few from my phone
  19. Thanks, 5.56 7.5" diplomat. Red, white and blue rock and roll!
  20. I'll never forget and I spent my day making an American rifle. For America. For those who were victims. For those who gave all.
  21. Boots on the ground, weapons hot. Commence the op!
