    I own a mk 1 pws mk214. No complaints, shoots as good as I do on any given day, iron sights only. About 1 1/2" groups. They have had great customer service and I spoken with them at length. Hope this helps.

    Gas system has no effect on buffer type/systems, correct. Most shooters tend to find a longer gas impulse has less recoil

    Is it AR 10 or DPMS pattern? May require a metal magazine in DPMS pattern. Is CMT an 80% build lower? As as you can see... not enough info provided.

    Just remember it breaks down over time and usage. Something is better than nothing but not as originally rated. As as far as cutting it, I can ask the head armorer what he thinks in s few days
