  1. There are lots of ambidextrous parts that you can add to a .308 AR that will help you out, but at this point, nobody makes a true left-handed .308 AR. DPMS might have something ambi for the -15 platform, but Stag/CMT is the only company that make a true upper receiver that ejects from the left side (special bolt carrier, upside-down ejection port door that's on the left, special upper to run the cam pin). There are a couple .308 AR rifles that go above and beyond regular ambi parts, too, with a couple custom touches for left-handed shooters. The SIG 308 incorporates a bolt catch on the right side. Knights Armament does a few special things on their SR-25 platforms, too. You're into some serious big bucks of you get into a KAC rifle, man. Ive been looking at their new SR-25 ECC (Enhanced Combat Carbine)... http://www.knightarmco.com/portfolio/sr-25-ecc/
  2. Got any plans yet, brother? Last year we did some breakfast, and hit the shootin' valley with some tannerite. I'm thinking this could be a tradition, here. <dontknow> <thumbsup> Also, I need to EXPLODE Drew's phone. Still. STILLL.... I'm on the other side of you now, so if you've got keys to the range... I'm just sayin'. <lmao>
  3. What ever it takes to win, brother. <lmao> Ron, if you reload for this thing, you can get from being chambered for $6 bills, down to about $3.50 a trigger-pull. I've run the math on it several times before...
  4. ^^^ I do mine damn near the exact same way. I'm just not monetarily ready with the wet tumbling and SS media! <lmao>

I'm safe out here, in the sand and rocks... and cacti... :tweed:
  6. Wash, you're terrible, dude... <lmao>
  7. Plinker, this is what you're facing - it sucks, too. I didn't even shoot the thing like this. I took the Dremel to it right away. Took the Dremel to it, smoothed that damn notch right out of there, then oiled the plastic. Can't even tell it was done, afterwards. Here's the original thread, if you want to read through it.
  8. All materials being the same (metal grade, heat treating, diameter, taper of diameter, etc), shorter barrels will whip less. That's the whole premise of going shorter on accuracy guns, and the whole thread that we started about it. There's some great info in that thread that directly ties into this conversation, right here.
  9. Belated Merry Christmas, my brothers. Busy as hell that day, and didn't even have the chance to stop in here. I hope all is well with you guys, all through the coming year. <thumbsup> I also hope and pray that there will not be a shortage of .338 Lapua Magnum in the next year. Please, God, for me, man. <laughs>
  10. ^^^<lmao>
  11. I have no idea in the WORLD about how I'm gonna be able to afford the beer during this festival. I need to start selling motorcycles and quads, or something. Anyone need a couple straping young 17-year-old boys? Lazy at times, but generally hard workers. I'll pimp 'em if necessary. <laughs>
  12. Drew... Nice ass, brother. <thumbsup> <laughs>
  13. I'll be buying a box of ammo every month, until the May Meet. :hethan:
  14. Yep. Job taken. He had interviews and everything, and I managed to beat the competition. :hethan:
  15. My envy has reached new proportions... Congrats, brother.
  16. That right there stings. Right at the corner of the eye. Hurts, for RRA guys - since their schit is so different from everything else. Reminds me - RRA pattern is the pattern that Bushmaster left behind... <lmao> What?! It's the truth! <dontknow>
  17. I can't keep that stuff straight, between 10A and 10B, but one day I'm gonna have the one that accepts the Pmags.
  18. I still want a 16" 10B, man, in a bad way. Dressed in green like the 10A I posted above would be excellent. >:D
  19. Run a DPMS bolt for a DPMS barrel extension. You can run the whole BCG assembly if you want, but you for sure need the bolt. No length differences in the carrier. At least, not enough to make a difference. Documented instances out there of people running Armalite bolt/carrier (to match their Noveske barrel) in a DPMS-based build. Same for the other way around, DPMS BCG in an Armalite-based build has been seen in the wild, and works. Match the proper bolt to the barrel extension. <thumbsup>
  20. Make sure Rhode Island is okay with an AR Pistol, very first. Once you have that 14.5 barrel in-hand, the only legal thing you can do with it in an unpinned condition is make a pistol out of it. If AR pistols aren't legal in RI, then you shouldn't have an unpinned barrel less than 16".

    ohio hunt

I need to get ahold of my brother, and see if he got anything this year.
  22. Can't sugarcoat things with Rob. If you do, he doesn't listen... <lmao>
  23. I think you're a dumbass if you don't get it, brother. Just my Oh-So-Humble opinion. Oh, she won't leave you over that, either. She'll just shoot it better than you can. <lmao> Show her this post - she'll jab you in the ribs, because she knows it's true... I can see her smile now... <laughs>
  24. They have a 3-9x40 out, too, that looks pretty good. I've been seeing them at Wal-Mart, of all places. Haven't shot one yet, but they look pretty good.
  25. Burris AR Tripler here, mounted in the ADM slide-to-side mount. Great combo.
