  2. ^^^ I have an opposite opinion here. The S3G/SD3G is an incredibly fast trigger, with short reset. It's definitely a huge upgrade over any milspec standard trigger, by far. Very far. The ALG ACT is a very good improvement on a milspec standard trigger. The Geissele 2-stage triggers are excellent in the stage separation, anf function. I'd go SSA-E over SSA, due to the 1lb combined reduction in trigger pull weights, one versus the other. The G Hi Speed I have is the desgnated marksman. I love that thing, so far, but need to get it through a long range session, with pull adjustments, to determine what combo/settings I'll prefer. To me, the 308 SR Gold fits into the mix right between the SSA, and SSA-E. I'd buy the SR Gold over the SSA, but it would be a tough call to buy it over the SSA-E. If it's between the two, though, you can't make a bad decision. I would not buy the RRA 2-stage, and expect it to be a long-term trigger. Too many reports out there of it going soft, losing it's stages, and becoming an expensive single stage. If you're at that price point, buy the Armalite National Match. It'll stand up to the abuse.
  3. I sense a disturbance in the force - someone talking poop about me? Again?...
  4. ^^^ That is a damn great trigger. Especially the .308 variant. I endorse. :D
  5. I'll have one of those mounts on the way soon, for something else. Nice, man.
  6. Holy poop, that is a sweet chassis!!! I've already got the 700 AAC SD to throw in it, too...

Alwyas check with these guys, when hunting for Knight's parts, too: http://www.operationparts.com/
  8. Nope. They'll go right in.
  9. SWEET!!! My plan is working!!! I can't wait to shoot Rob's NF, either!
  10. That Nemo is pretty damn sweet. Nothing tops the 98B, though, and the upgrade to the MRAD.
  11. Nope, not legal. Banned by name. Here's some good info for ya: http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf
  12. That is MOST excellent!
  13. I don't get it? I'm in AZ, higher elevations even (4.600 feet, base elevation), and I don't have snow. Well, that's a lie - it's in the mountains, at 7,000 feet - there's snow up there. We like that, it's kind of "scenic" here... I'm just sayin'. Drew. Drew?...
  14. What mrraley says - on a .308AR, just cut to the chase, and use the Armalite .308 bolt catch. It's much beefier, where it needs to be, over the DPMS-type .308 bolt catch. If it's an AR-15 part, on a large AR, remove it and save it for a 5.56-based project.
  15. TIghten, loosen, tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen - you'll hit it. If the barrel nut and the threads on the upper receiver are NOT lubed, you'l just make it harder on yourself. The torque spec is 30~80lb/ft. Somewhere between 30 and 80, you'll hit it. Don't try it with dry threads. You'll gall the poop out of everything.
  16. This is awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQdqQsivA4U
  17. Rifle receiver extensions also have wrench flats on the end of them, for applying proper torque. AR-15 armorer's combo tools have the notch in them that fits the wrench flats.
  18. Hell yeah!!! Those are BOTH sweet!!! I'm interested in those Seekins forged lowers, too - those are gonna be very, very nice. Nothing but pure quality. I'm positive that Dirk and I can handle some sweet pics, and a great write up for ya, Ron. :D By the way, I'm just a "tinkerer..." Really.
  19. I'm with Drew on this one - .45ACP, 9mm, 300BLK and .22 just about cover it. 5.56 and .308 Win are a given.
  20. Is that EVERY YEAR?!!!? That would cost me a LOT of money. I'm ready to throw up just thinking about it.
  21. If you decide to go that route, let me know. I'll take the National Match trigger off your hands for you. I've got one, and it's pretty good. I'm certain I've got a rifle I can put it in.
  22. The numbers haunt me every night...
  23. That fuckin' sucks. They don't make men like that often, and it's just absolutely shitty to see good ones go. RIP, brother.
  24. ^^^ I'm not buying that story - there's always something on the way. I haven't purchased anything withing the last week or two, but I'm still waiting on 4 Brakeouts, 20 backordered mags, and a sweet holster. That should tide me over for awhile, until I can figure out what to buy next...
  25. That Tracking Point system is badass...
