Here's a good view on this mess... -
Up in the PNW did you guys run the Evans Creek ORV Area and the Elbe Hills ORV Area? Those are my old stomping grounds, in my '93 YJ. Evans Creek, the 311A trail - that was a motherfucker.
-
Thanks - I didn't think I was crazy here.

Seems like nobody is keeping up with this - this vid is 4 days old now. At any rate, great news on this front. -
Weird - I thought the 4s only came with the AX5 trans, the only the 4.0Ls had the AX15. At any rate, very cool!
-
This has my interest - please post more.

He'll crush it, once this port is drilled. Might take one drill bit, might take the second one, to make it perfect. I know these things - not my first rodeo with these big bitches...

If you jumped on this deal, then your upper went into the build queue, as the order was received. They build them, as orders come in. However, if you jumped on this when I announced it, Thursday, Feb 9th, then you were early on your order, and should be at the front of the build queue. LaRue estimates a 2~6 week ship time, based on when your order went in, and when they can get to it in the build process - and Mark LaRue can shoot it - to ship it with your accuracy-test targets. These are fired upper receivers, by Mark himself. Now, if you ordered it on the Feb 9th date that I posted this, it probably would have shipped last Thursday (one week after ordering), and you'd probably be receiving it this coming Tuesday, via UPS (the only way they ship things). I'm not guaranteed on that, but I'm just guessing, that's how it would have went. I have pretty reliable sources. If you ordered it later, and didn't see this until later - then obviously, you'll be later in the build queue, and you'll be further into that 2~6 week build-wait, that I was talking about before. If you went early - kudos to you for jumping on it. Lesson 65B. You snooze, you lose.

WPS sounds off... -
This thing is gonna run like a striped-ass ape after you drill it out. Everything else is already there, done, and perfect for a "running gun."
-
No worries - it's close, at 0.075" - it wants to work, it just can't quite get enough going. You'll see a difference just going to 0.080", so try it there. It still might need a little more to be "perfect" so don't be afraid of the 0.085" bit, if it's not perfect at 0.080."
-
100% and then some - that gas porti s the issue. For a 20" rifle gas 6.5 build with a 0.750" gas block journal, you need 0.080" minimum, and that's my .260 Rem running a 5.15oz buffer, as an experiment. You, with a proper 5.4oz buffer, might need 0.085" port diameter, to run it right. It's worth the cost of the 2 numbered drill bits to try it. Run it at 0.080" first, and see how it does. It it doesn't work at 0.080", punch it to 0.085" and it WILL work, properly. Get back in here with details, from those steps, and prove my "proof of concept" here.

I really need to know who this was - it's hilarious. I wasn't me, this time...

Well done, Rex!

It ain't free. You pay for it, with increased combustion chamber pressures, over time. Turbo oil seals go out, flood your plenum with oil (which doesn't combust- makes black smoke out your exhaust), water-to-air intercoolers go out , just like a heater core can go out, and flood your plenum with coolant - which doesn't combust (makes white smoke out your exhaust) - and smells like burning syrup... Turbos on what I work on now are $3k to replace, because they're all manufactured "as a unit" and you can't rebuild them. Lift a head? Too much boost pressure blows out head gaskets. Have fun replacing head gaskets on the engine with a turbo. Just to get to them, you'll be replacing ALOT MORE gaskets, just for the head gaskets that lifted - from too much pressure. It happens. Turbos happen. They're fun, when they work - until they don't work anymore. Old skool topend shiit, 2-strokes. I can rebuild a 2-stroke topend for around $400. If I'm rebuilding the same 4-stroke topend, it's $2k minimum. Add a turbo on that thing, and multiply the repair by 3x... It's gonna be AT LEAST $6k to rebuild a turbo 4-stroke engine. And that's just scratching the surface. Need to see the damage first, but that's just the minimum. If you fucked up the bottom end, too - we're $8k minimum. Just to rebuild it. There is not one thing about horsepower, that's "free." Ever. The more horsepower you have, the more money it will cost you when you need to rebuild it. And that rebuild is coming, always, trust me. Then, what do I know about this stuff... Not like I rebuilt a Turbo engine 3 weeks ago, and just replaced an entire engine last week - because it was cheaper to put a crate engine in it, than rebuild the damage that was there... But, whatever... I don't know shiit...

Looks like the kid from Deliverance, yeah?... Let's take that another step forward... I'm just sayin'...

This happened to me, from clicking one of his MANY links sent. All the sudden, I had to prove to YT that I wasn't a bot, go through verification SEVERAL times, identify all the school busses, streetlights, all that shiit. And after a couple days of NOT opening up his links... it all went away... No more "bot verification" my way. I'm just sayin'... My own personal experience, here...

I bought a Milwaukee electric chainsaw a few years ago, and haven't looked back since buying it. It's BADASS. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Outdoor-Power-Equipment/Saws/2727-21HD

Not saying anything bad here, but in that vid, his left thumb is riding that slide. Just sayin'. There would be alot less muzzle rise per shot, if that left thumb was buried into the left side of that frame, instead. Timestamp in the vid is in there. I may, or may not, know what I'm talking about. You decide. I've never worried about the recoil of shooting a .45, because of the recoil of the cartridge, either from a 1911 or a striker-fired platform. Never. It's nothing, even with 230s, if you can shoot it right. The Kimber Ultra RCP II was the worst one to get accustomed to. That little fuqr. Bottom line, men - get your support thumb where it needs to be, doesn't matter the caliber of the handgun, striker or hammer fired - get your support thumb against the FRAME of the gun, and balance that massive meat-claw you have on the other side of the gun, with your firing hand. And, SINK MORE FINGER ON THE TRIGGER. My $0.02.

OP hasn't been on here since last July, but here's a follow-up on CCI 41s. For those that need them. Diamond K Brass is a local Phoenix-based company, and they're legit. I've ordered from them routinely, in the past several years. CCI 41s, available - price is normal going rate these days. Just pick how many you can afford, they have packages available... https://www.diamondkbrass.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1

Exactly. Suicide-By-Cop. Their life is 'So bad that they can't go on anymore," so they're bullied in school (Uvalde shooter), or they're seriously mentally ill (Sandy Hook shooter), or whatever. This is weak people standing up with a gun, because "life is hard." LIFE HAS ALWAYS BEEN HARD, FUKHEAD!!! YOU NEED TO WORK, TO BECOME SOMETHING IN THIS WORLD!!! Weaklings don't get that, and think everything should be given to them, handed to them. Entitled. Everything should be free. Including women, sex, etc. Here's the fukhead that was gonna kill 3k women in a college, because he couldn't get laid. Mental - and nothing is being done about the mental part. Nothing. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/15660018/incel-tres-genco-sorority-kill-3000-women-ohio/ Something off about this guy, his looks beside. You can see it in the eyes.

Shiit. Remind me when you're shooting those ones. Give a heads-up.
