  1. Special DEputy Sheriff in Lake County Michigan. For decades. Also, on the Board of Directors in the NRA. <thumbsup>
  2. I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. I swore to that 4 times over 21.5 years. I always believed in the order and structure of that Oath, too - the Constitution comes first, president after that - it's designed that way, for a very specific reason. The bottom line is the US Constitution will ALWAYS come first, above and beyond all else, no matter what. You get to choose how you says it, too - you can "swear" or "affirm" - I chose to swear, every single time, because "affirming..." Well,... :tfg:
  3. No flex whatsoever - use the tube, and it's top rail, pick rings that keep your scope low. My 5.56 with the PRI parts:
  4. Pssssshhhh... Exaggerration, on Robo's part. I was REALLY wearing boxers, dress shoes, and it was a light coat of CLP... ...and he ENJOYED the Pants-Down Hug, too... <laughs>
  5. If you don't have a very specific FFL, you can't manufacture firearms - be very careful with this.
  6. Hell yeah, man - 1st Ranger Bn. <thumbsup> Rangers Lead The Way!
  7. Those went out of stock fast... :-[
  8. Both are able to be back-ordered right now - sold out fast.
  9. Ryan, be very careful with this - I'll send you a detailed email on this subject.
  10. Well, I think this whole thing was smoke and mirrors - Jon and I were talking about this yesterday. A couple days before the Fiscal Cliff BS, the announcement of their pay raise hit the public - right in the eye. So, more talks, politicians trying to solve the money and tax problems, and some of them need "a compromise." What, exactly, was compromised? "Agree to stop the pay raise, and we'll agree to the tax-solution proposal..." Smoke and mirrors. NOTHING was really compromised, was it? "If we say we'll give them a pay raise, we can use that as a target - to give up - to get what we want..." Fucking worked, too. Also, they were supposed to solve the tax problem, AND the deficit (spending) problem. The tax problem looks good on paper, but is bullpoopy in reality, AND they didn't do poop with the deficit (spending) problem. Nothing. We have a Deficit problem in this country - a Deficit in Leadership.
  11. Glad I could help, brother! <thumbsup> <lmao>
  12. Damn, it was a thought. Solder it up, brother! ;D
  13. VERY good link! <thumbsup>
  14. New Year's Eve, bar argument started it. I don't think it was some kind of intended, attempted mass shooting...
  15. Just thought about something - hope you check back in here before you silver-solder everything. The .308s are not AR-15s. Some .308s take a screw pin for the bolt catch, whereas AR-15s are almost always the same - SOME AR-15s take screw pins. If you're trying to use an AR-15 roll pin on a Big AR, check what you have first. If that Black Rain lower takes a screw pin, then that's what you need to use...
  16. Definite DPMS LR-308 pattern, right there. A standard .308 AR lower parts kit should fit that no problem.
  17. Post a link to the product, so it can be checked out, and a possible answer given back.
  18. I've posted updates and links to AR-15 lowers, .308 AR lowers, and AR-15 mags on this site. Everytime I find out about them. The info is there, and it's not hard to find - search it out.
  19. Commercial, from what I've heard, and already for sale. <thumbsup> Buy here: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Home/New-Shooting-Gear-for-2013%7C/pc/105625080/c/107344080/Ruger174-1022174-BX25-2-50-Round-Magazine/1545614.uts
  20. Option 2 - removed the catch, silver-solder the hole closed, drill up to the appropriate size.
  21. You just have to put it out of your mind when it's going on, and think of the greater good... <thumbsup>
  22. Shim it. Measure the differences - OD on the pin, ID on the hole. Cut up a soda can and use the thin-ass aluminum as a shim.
  23. Drew, based on your thread, you are apparently not aware of the new Ruger BX25-2 magazine. Let me show you... ;D <thumbsup>
  24. blue, pics of the monitor are mandatory... <laughs>
  25. Yep, I'd hit that for the team - take it out from the hip, down. In a frenzy. ;D
