Also found some stuff from CMP on our 1903 stocks, brother - we can get new reproduction 1903A3 stocks for about $165. You gotta scroll down to find them. http://www.odcmp.com/Sales/stocksets.htm

Bravo Company (BCM). It was a full lightweight upper. You can built the upper, just using that pinned 14.5" barrel, or just get the whole thing. When I was building for the kid's birthday last year, separate parts were OOS, so I just got the whole thing. Here's the complete upper - does not come with BCG. Add the $45 option for the pinned/welded A2 Extended flash hider, to make it "all-around" legal. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Standard-14-5-LIGHT-WEIGHT-Upper-Receiver-p/bcm-urg-car-14lw.htm Here's just the barrel: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-14-5-LIGHT-WEIGHT-Barrel-Stripped-p/bcm-brl-car%2014lw%20%20std.htm

Barrel nut tool compatibility?
98Z5V replied to Mr Mistoffelees's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
Better call Troy Ind, and see if they've changed it. I put mine on in early 2010. -
Barrel nut tool compatibility?
98Z5V replied to Mr Mistoffelees's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
If you ordered the MRF-308 for a DPMS, and paid extra for the barrel nut, you'll get it. You can only use that barrel nut. Better check what you ordered. The MRF-308 will directly fit the stock AR-10 barrel nut. Troy makes a AR-10-sized barrel nut with DPMS threads, for the DPMS upper receivers. You don't need a length of pipe to put it on. 30~80lb/ft is the standard, and 30 ain't much - just put it on tight. If you have to grunt the thing on there, that's overkill. You'll get instructions with your rail. That explains everything clearly. -
Since shooting Greg's 7.62 OBR yesterday, I've been on LaRue's website most of the evening. I've really been looking at the PredatOBR, of the pinned 14.5" variety. Like a 7.62 version of the Costa gun. <thumbsup> <laughs> I'd be $200 closer to that right now, if Drew didn't have a 300BLK barrel showing up for me in two days... :o

Barrel nut tool compatibility?

There's two wrench flats on the MRF-308 barrel nut. You can put it on with a large crescent wrench if you choose. No special tool needed. <thumbsup> -
shepp - this is one of the ones you posted - you can definitely see the "beginning stages" of some very serious torque happening here. <thumbsup> Rear tires - left starting to squash, full sidewall on the right one. Love it. I'd love to drive a beast like that. <lmao> <laughs>

I had such a poop-eating grin on my face... ;D <lmao> That thing was a riot!
-
Exactly what I saw in that. <thumbsup>

This is awesome, because Jon keeps saying everyone else needs a Slidefire... But he's the most vocal... <laughs> <lmao> We all know who needs one. Really bad. <thumbsup> ;D

This thread - the pics - reminded me of a funny "demotivational" picture I saw years ago. I had to go search this thing out again... <laughs>
-
I can't even bring up the funniest thing I've heard in my whole life - Heather should probably be the one that mentions it... <laughs> <lmao>
-
If it's for the big ARs, the one you have should work - I'd be very surprised if it didn't.

Just had a great dinner with everybody - well, Jon and Mike didn't make it back down, but the other 7 of us were there. <thumbsup> Here's a couple things that were discussed: <laughs> <lmao>

Damn great pics, man! <thumbsup>

What a great day - just got back home. Took me a damn hour and a half to get everything into the truck and head out, but we were on the range from about 10am to 5pm - when the range master chased us out. Rob and Jen, myself, Jon, Mike, Greg and Heather, and Greg's in-laws. Plus a hell of alot of other people, on the public range. Everybody split around 5pm (1700, for you military-minded folks), Jon going back to Marana, Mike had to (still has to, bet he ain't there yet) go back to Mesa (Phoenix). Rob and Jen, and I, went out to Buffalo Wild Wings and had a great time. I'm positive there are pics and video coming up. Project Pinky was fired. ALOT of other stuff was fired. We shot for $10s four times today, and Greg took the first two, with me getting the last two - which just means I got my money back. Greg made some. Rene, you got that conference call that we threatened ya with... <laughs>

Single Point Sling adapter for 308 with A2 stock
98Z5V replied to 308truthseeker's topic in .308AR Parts
You're probably gonna have to go with something like that, as the A1 and A2 fixed stock don't use an endplate - the stock itself hold everything in place. Another option is integrating QD sockets into your stock, or switching your A2 over to the MagPul fixed stock, which already has QDs built into it. -
The range opens at 0800 - plan to meet there on-site at about 1000? 10am for you civilian-minded folks... <thumbsup> Sound good? (I'll start loading the truck at 0530...)

So, I work all day, until 5pm. Go home and download the truck, hop on the bike, and head to Tombstone to meet up with the guys. I get there, call Greg, find out where they're at - about 2 blocks away from where I parked. Cool, I head out for my two-block walk. I'm waiting on the corner in front of the Crystal Palace Saloon - and these guys are walking up to the opposite corner... Now, there's a Tombstone Marshall truck in the middle of the intersection. Not abnormal, during festivities in Tombstone - they close Allen Street for stuff like this. I walk over to their corner, do the re-meet-n-greet with everyone, meet Greg and Heather's two sons... <laughs> When I look back into the intersection, there's another Tombstone Marshall truck... :o Now, I'm not paranoid or anything, but I'm pretty sure they could sense the evil that had gathered... :bat: We talked, walked down the street, went shopping for warm garments and "loaded" onesies - yes, seriously - and ended up in the Crystal Palace. Me, Rob and Greg. We didn't quite realize it yet, but there was a very famous celebrity in the bar at that time... Man, I an NOT KIDDING ONE BIT on this one... We JUST got up to the bar, and this little hispanic fella leans over to Greg and says, "My wife thinks you look just like Vin Diesel!"... That poop just happened... <thumbsup> <lmao>

We shall find out, brother. Soon. This is going to be one expensive build. It's been in my head for a long time now.
-
poop. It's on the way.
-
That's right, Rene! You'll get a conference-call from the shooting range. I'll try to time that call when I'm having Rob count out all the $10s he has to hand over to me... <laughs> <lmao> <thumbsup>

Further good news update - my good friend Greg is now in full possession of all his goods. The next plane came in, with all his stuff. <thumbsup>

Halloween - the original one. I remember watching that at a drive-in, when it opened... <thumbsup>
