  1. There's your answer, man. Shitcan those other mags, sell them, whatever. Stock up on Pmags. This stuff? Below? Non-Issue. <thumbsup>
  2. The Pmag fit tight like that, or does it drop free?
  3. You can attach a Pic rail to the MOE, so yes, you could attach a bipod.
  4. The M40 (and upgrades) is the mainstay bolt gun of all the branches. Alternate guns like the FN SPR don't even get into the system. These are literally issued items here.
  5. Magpul grips, either MIAD or MOE, depending on rifle configuration. Precision-type guns get the MIAD, and the carbines get the MOE. For all the ones with battery-powered optics, I stick spare batts in a small plastic zip-lock-type baggie, and store them in the grips, right there on the gun. The one gun with no optics at all, the .45 AR (irons only), has a front and rear sight tool in it's MOE. <thumbsup>
  6. Excellent mount. Very comparable to a GG&G and LaRue. I'd call them part of "the Top 4," if there was such a thing. Bobro, LaRue, American Defense, and GG&G. <thumbsup>
  7. For what it's worth, that "SS" on that sign doesn't have a damn thing to do with Nazis or any other bullpoopy like that. I HATE political correctness. That is commonly used amonst "Scout/Sniper" units. PC shitheads don't often think the "SS" is the KISS symbol was derived from Nazis roots, do they?! Same font, too. Damn idiots. Darwin needs to stop collecting unemployment and get back to work - there are WAY too many dumbasses that he's been neglecting for a few years now.
  8. You guys should be set now. <thumbsup>
  9. That's still gonna be alotta gun cases... <laughs>

Eff that. That damn thing is a 25mm Bushmaster Cannon - without the Bushmaster Cannon. :o I don't think you could pay me enough to shoot that thing. Twice. <laughs>
  11. Interesting to see how this worked out - right now, the only platform available for the 22-250 is from Olympic Arms, and they made a special, lengthened AR-15 lower receiver, just to handle the cartridge. As for pics, just email any one of the Admins (myself included) with the pics, and we'll put them up for you. <thumbsup>

    RRA Trigger

Where did you send them for the coating? WMD Guns, by chance?
  13. Never, would I do that - I've got so many gun cases, I can't fit everything into the bed of my truck. We'll need to plan out what I'm bringing, so I can pack accordingly... <laughs> I guess I could double-stack, but that scares me in these parts - if I tarp over it, I look like a drug-runner (or human-smuggler), and get pulled over by Border. If I DON'T tarp over it, I look like a gun-runner, and I've got all the center of uranus ATF-Gun-Walker-wannabe's on my junk... :-[ It's almost a no-win to go shooting down here anymore. :o <lmao> I'll haul the stockpile, however it needs to be done. <thumbsup>
  14. Barrel nut wrench, upper vice blocks, and a set of roll pin punches, if you don't have those already. <thumbsup>
  15. On precision type ARs, I don't wear gloves. On those rifles, I run the MIAD grip with the fat backstrap. On carbines, I usually wear gloves, and I run a MOE grip. That's intentional. The smaller grip is used to account for the glove thickness, without changing the "overall grip" that I'm used to. I got used to wearing nomex flight gloves all the time, in the field, and handling an issued carbine with the heinous A2 pistol grip.
  16. Last outing with the TacSol 10/22, this weekend. Shooting Fed bulk pack 36gr hollow points - not the best for feeding through a semi, but not bad performers, either. 50 yards on both targets.
  17. Sounds alot like the "Big Dog" from Boston Dynamics. Link doesn't work, so I can't be sure.
  18. That won't help him - that flatwire spring is long as hell... <laughs> Tht spring definitely sounds like an AR-15 carbine spring.
  19. Based solely on the number of gun cases in the background... I think you and I would have a hell of a range day, should we meet up. <thumbsup> <laughs> Looking forward to it. ;D
  20. Fairbairn...
  21. On the rifle extensions, they screw in tight into the receiver. The notch in the bottom of the buttstock indexes into the lower receiver. Then the buttstock is screwed into the back of the extension - for it to loosen up, both the screw (into the back of the extension) and the extension itself (from the back of the receiver) would have to loosen up. Once it's installed correctly, it kinda keeps itself tight, and in place.
  22. I fixed yours, but I can't find my own, to fix it - I still don't know who I am... :o
  23. If they ever get the .338 rolling, it'll be nice. Regular production on the .308 would be nice, too. Up to now, the .338 LM is nothing more than computer generated images and vaporware. I keep waiting... <thumbsup>
  24. Re-read: you did have the spacer in there? That buffer doesn't even sound like a 5.56 rifle buffer, based on length stated... <dontknow>
  25. The rifle receiver extension (same for A1 or A2, 5.56 or .308 AR) requires a 5/8" spacer when you run it with an A2 length stock. It also requires the longer screw (over the screw for an A1 stock). You kinda stated that you weren't running the spacer, but you almost had to have been running the longer screw - or it wouldn't have even attached to the receiver extension. This the case?
