Measure like stated above - wooden dowel inserted into barrel, on a closed bolt. Tick mark at the very end of the barrel. That's the ATF way. If the barrel is less than 16", the only way the length of the muzzle device will count towards the total barrel length, is if it's permanently attached (blind pin and weld, silver solder).

Most of your jap bikes are made - made - right here in the US, unless you're specifically on a competition bike. ZX-10R, KX-450F, KX-250F (I've got details on this one, right here), RM-Z450, GSX-R1000, etc... those ones are still made in Japan. The rest of the fodder from them is made right here... <munch>

My BCM gas tubes did come with roll pins. They still include them with gas tube purchases. I tracked down old receipts to check, and I could have just gone to their website to verify - which is what I ended up doing anyway... :o

Easy way to find out if this is the case. Chamber a round, then close the ejection port door. If the BCG doesn't even move, that door will still be closed after recoil. If the BCG even moves a little bit, it'll kick the door right open.

I just put a Dynacomp on my Ruger GSR (16" barrel) last night. Probably can't get out to shoot it this weekend, but I'll give you an update as soon as I do. Anything will be better than that crappy, ugly Ruger flash hider that comes on the rifle. By the way, Ruger MUST use the 800-pound gorilla to put that factory flash hider on there... >:(

The only drawback might be grip position, going aorund the rear bipod. <dontknow>
