That so completely out of context... :o <laughs>

I am, and always will be, a big giant fan of Fulton Armory. <thumbsup>

Lots of guys experiment with that on the AR-15 side of the house, to come up with the perfect combination for their rifle and ammo - basically, they buy a standard buffer (3 x steel weights) and the H3 buffer (3 x tungsten weights), and you can make any combination you might need, with those parts. No reason that shouldn't work on a .308 AR buffer. <thumbsup> Maybe go ahead and pick up something of H1 weight and the H3 weight, so you've got more total weight to play with - the .308 can use the extra weight. Another option completely outside of messing with taking apart buffers (which isn't a bad option, in the least), is to just get a Tubb CWS. More weight is the ultimate goal, and you can far surpass "total weight added" by using the CWS. Read this, for an idea of what I'm talking about - I added enough to a 5.56 gun to make it fully functional for my ammo, in that combination... I had a few 5.56 guys telling me beforehand that it wouldn't even run like that - Bah! ;D Runs like a champ in my config. http://308ar.com/forum/general-discussion/how-much-cyclic-weight-is-too-much/

That's what she said... <laughs> <lmao> I had to do it - my natural immaturity couldn't be contained... <dontknow>

CLIFFBROWNUSMC: I have a big beef with what you're putting up here, and how it's misleading. I think you need to straighten it out, kinda quickly. Now, the way you've phrased this blatant advertisement is that Mk319 Mod 0 is what you're selling - and it's not. That ammo is a 7.62x51 round, plain and simple. You're advertising 300 BLK here, with that lead in. Now, if you're advertising your own ammo that is custom loaded as a 300 BLK round with that Mk319 Mod 0 projectile (of which there are varying weights - not just one projo) - then clearly advertise it as "custom loaded 300 BLK ammunition, with Mk319 Mod 0..." Additionally, you don't need to pepper numerous topics with a cut-and-paste of the same information. That should stop. I'll fix the other topics, and leave a redirect back to this topic. Furthermore, check out the Site Rules (linked below), and pay special attention to Rule #2. http://308ar.com/forum/site-news-and-support/site-rules-read-before-posting/msg2539/#msg2539 If I've upset you in any way with my post, then feel free to contact me directly, either via PM, or responding in this thread. -
I'll bet we can help you bust that completion timeline... ;D That's an awesome plan, Robo!!! <thumbsup> Keep the parts coming in, for "family and friends," tell the wife it's all for "family and friends," and get her used to that idea... I know where that one is going... <lmao> She won't know what parts are what, how much is really yours, etc... <laughs> AWESOME!!! 8)

Monsoon season is over for me here, in AZ - back to constant sunshine, cooler fall temps (high 80s during the day now, low 60s at night)... I'm just sayin'... <dontknow> ;D

Both companies are good - I haven't heard a thing about them producing .308 AR mags, though. I think we're seeing a "lack of advertising" here. I'd pick up one of each without hesitation, just to see how they do.

I like that one - and it attaches to the A2 directly. A'la GemTech Halo. Very sweet. <thumbsup>

Oh my Dear Lord... :o

Way to dodge that bullet, brother - nicely done... <thumbsup> ;D I'd tell you to not let these guys talk you into anything, however: 1) I'm guilty of talking people into stuff, all the time... ::) 2) I get talked into stuff all the time... <dontknow> Anyway, you did a damn fine job staying out of that one... <lmao>

The least expensive Titanium option I can think of is the Yankee Hill Machine variant, which will come with the QD flash suppressor. http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14_18&products_id=306

Just add an 870, and you're set. You'd probably be in there around $500. That thing is pretty cool - but I'm a Mossberg guy. If they make one for a Moss 500, I'm in it. <thumbsup>

What lead to 'Project Gunwalker'?
98Z5V replied to imschur's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
I'm very positive that there are many high-up administration officials that don't want this info to see the light of day. Too bad there are news organizations out there that don't care about reporting important stuff, only kissing ass. >:( I'm happy that someone has the sack to put this info out there, otherwise, we'd all be mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed bullpoopy. Here's an interesting read on some of that ATF agent's side of the story, or at least what was happening to him... I don't understand how this could already be in the "archives" section of this website, when it's dated today - gotta dig for this stuff now, for some strange reason... <dontknow> http://hotair.com/archives/2011/09/26/new-fast-furious-document-atf-bought-guns-with-taxpayer-money-and-sold-them-to-illegal-buyers-directly/ Read some of this blog, if you really want to feel like a mushroom - why isn't this stuff all over printed and electronic news media?... http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/ -
Uncle Armalite, what are the calibers of the ones available? .308 Win, .300 Win Mag, or .338 Lapua Mag? Would there be a price difference if the different calibers are available?

What lead to 'Project Gunwalker'?
98Z5V replied to imschur's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
Back in the news agaain - with some pretty shocking (or, not really shocking...) discoveries. Public money was spent for Gun Walker firearms purchases, and an ATF agent was put in a bad position in purchases, himself... "Not only did U.S. officials approve, allow and assist in the sale of more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa cartel -- the federal government used taxpayer money to buy semi-automatic weapons, sold them to criminals and then watched as the guns disappeared." Haha! I went with the RIS for several reasons - the Lite 10.0 and the Lite 9.0 only come in black, and I wanted the dark earth. The price I got this for put it more than $100 under the MSRP of the two Lite rails, also. Finally, I can hang a granade launcher off this baby... :o <thumbsup>

That's one hell of a great benefit, right there - I didn't know about that one, and that you don't have to "take anything apart," really, to install it. That's damn awesome. <thumbsup>

Final change, there will be no more - swapped the MI T-10 rail out for the Daniel Defense Mk18 RIS II rail. This is one damn nice rail. :o

Will a Saar-15 stock (slide fire solutions) fit ar-10?
98Z5V replied to Jklunder's topic in General Discussion
There's a few specific - very specific - threads on here about that. Just search on ".308 AR buffer" and it should all come up. -
Better shooting that you think, brother. <thumbsup> I'm seeing some breathing issues there, with the vertical stringing. Best way to remedy that is to always shoot at the same point in your breathing cycle - exhale, relax, shoot. That'll help with vertical stringing. Horizontal stringing can be from a couple different things, but most commonly it's from inconsistant sight picture or jerking the trigger. That's good shooting, though - don't be worried about that. Definitely minute-of-man. ;D
