Fuk off - block me then, you whiner. You don't know anything about me.

Keep up the insults - see how far you can run with that one.

FOG, just so you know, I build engines, transmissions, and differentials for a daily job. Military was a daily job for 20+ years, before that. I've turbocharged shiit that never came with a turbo, and tuned it, with nitrous injection, running on methanol as a primary fuel. I've done water-meth injection. And tuned it. Guns are my release, my side hobby, because they're not as complicated. They're EASY to figure out. The math is FAR more simple, for guns, over calculating a new combustion chamber volume and compression ratio (static or dynamic), for an over-bored piston for forced induction. I've turbo'd carbed vehicles, which many say can't be done. Done it. Won races with them, too. Turbos through carbs is easy business, if you know what you're doing with the carb. Do you even know the difference between an interference-fit, press-fit, and thermo-fit? The barrel to receiver is NOT a thermo-fit. Just so you know. I deal with press-fit, interference-fit, and thermo-fit all the time. Good luck, with what you think you know - and, you're over-thinking this thing the whole way through - at least here. No matter how many years you've been working on this project of yours.

That shiit is a waste of time. JMHO. You'll never know if it did you any good, until you can out-shoot one of your own guns. And have to fix the gun after that, to keep up with YOU. Good luck.
-
I'm not worried about that in the least - not at all. Just so you know. I don't "score points" here, besides warning points. I help guns run, people listen, or they don't. I could care less how it comes out. I know where to spend my time, though, who to help, and when. Inflate yourself however you may. I'm not even concerned.

Don't know if you can see it in this pic, but this Super 3 Gun has some wear on it. This trigger is from 2010. The FDE MagPul MIAD grip is so dirty, it looks gross. I won't clean it, though.

Don't know where it came up, but it was another thread, routine coversation, but home defense guns was either A topic, or THE topic - can't remember. I answered that my home defense gun was 5.56, 14.5" barrel (used to that length, from days of old, and I can work it). I answered that my trigger was the Geissele Super 3 Gun trigger, and someone asked why that trigger. Home defense is a different game. It's not combat, you don't pick it - you don't pick the time. It's your home, but it's not on your timeline. Otherwise, just light them up with an M-240 and be done with it, if you know it's coming. Kinda like military shiit, it's an ambush - on you and your personal property. That's very personal... Home invasions have been on the rise for over a decade - more and more, in less-likely places than you'd think. Suburbs, small towns, etc. You never know - we never know - when it might happen... to us. My answer is a trigger that works in an environment such as that. Geissele Super 3 Gun, or one of it's derivitives (there are a few now). Here's the description of the Super 3 Gun, right off the Geissele website, and why it fits the bill, to a T... The S3G trigger has a very short, light pull and reset. We do not recommend it for duty use, bench rest, accuracy work or shooting small groups. It is designed for close course competition use where rapid target engagement with quick follow up shots are required. BOOM SHAKALAKA, Had to include Pastor Manning in there, just because of the BOOM SHAKALAKA. If you want to defend your home against - whatever comes your way - hopefully it's NOT a home invasion... but it may be... IMHO this is the best trigger for you, for that purpose. very short, light pull and reset. use where rapid target engagement with quick follow up shots are required. Well, done deal - that's ALL ABOUT some home defense, right there, is it not? So, at any rate, that's my pick. Let's discuss. What do you guys want in a HD trigger? HD = Home Defense. My G S3G is staying. Right where it is.

Many days removed from the action - I hope he at least came back to read the replies he got... Shiit on my Armalite 2-stage National Match trigger thread, you fuk...

Any idea what ammo that dude was trying to shoot? I mean, what BLK ammo, through his 5.56 gun?...
-
Maybe it wouldn't have been 2.3 guns worth of parts... had you listed to the information that was provided to you right off the bat?... Just maybe...
-
Ah shiit... Hope it worked, man, and they did well!

We may never know, AL - but I'll keep researching this. I'll start measurements of BCG travel where cam pin rotation starts, and figure it out from there. EDIT - I have no doubt in my mind that the stuff you posted from WW is exactly right. Now, I want to see why.
-
I guess that answers that. I only load 150gr Hornady FMJ-BTs for 300 BLK range ammo. Most people don't load the light stuff, but I don't think it would make a difference. Here's how far a BCG will close on a 5.56 barrel, with the 150s loaded - nowhere near cam pin rotation:
-
The BLK cartridge (diameter at neck) will keep the BCG from going forward. Enough that the cam pin won't even reach the cutout in the upper. The bolt can't rotate, unless that cam pin is IN the cutout - hence, the entire reason for it, and all it does, really. Like I said, there's more to this story.
-
If the bolt doesn't fully rotate, the firing pin will never be able to touch the primer. No way. There's more to this story.
-
How did it even chamber? How did the bolt rotate?
-
^^^ that thing is BADASS!!!
-
I love this statement, and fully support it.

FUK! I hadn't heard this news, and it sucks! Ranger Hero, Ranger Hall Of Famer, and alot more than that to Rangers. Raised one hell of an amazing son, too. What an absolute badass.
-
I'll dig it out and get pics up - it runs like a champ. Aero recoil systems were out of stock at the time, and I went with a Spikes 8 oz pistol buffer and a Sprinco Red spring. Runs flawlessly. I'll get back in here with pics and more info.

Hello! - Looking for help with Wilson Combat Build

Mine's at the post office - I'll pick it up in the morning. -
I love mine. I'm running my dope chart for my 12.5" Grendel on it, and it's pretty damn close out to 500 yards. I haven't done a good speed test on it yet, but need to, so it can have it's own dope sheet made up and stored away. It's quite the surprising little gun. Don't fear one - jump right into it.

No reason not to go that route at all. It'll accomplish exactly what you want it for - tame recoil a bit. I have one on the way right now, for that very reason. -
