  1. Alot. Short .308ARs. Out to 400 yards, with a thread here on it. I don't know where the thread is, but someone can find it. Listed ranges from 100, 200, 300, 400 with the red dot, and the hold I used to hit those targets. It was a thread I did originally over on FUll30, so that might help in the search for it. Pics of all hits to those ranges, holds described, and pics of impacts on steel IPSC targets. That was a 13" Armalite Competition barrel on the gun I used in that thread.

I have a Geissele SSA and SSA-E, and both those triggers have never failed me, on any military-grade primers. There are very, very few "military grade" primers out there, and they're all made by CCI, by the way, for US munitions. All of them. And CCI primers are all I use for reloading.
  3. What's the vision-issue that's causing this? I recommend @Armed Eye Doc in this situation, pending your response.
  4. I'll get some machine gun brass from Dillon Aero, and get some measurements for comparison. That's all minigun brass, right there. I know it ain't a 240 or M60, but there's a difference in brass.
  5. AS long as it doesn't deform (bulge) the base of the shoulder, then you're good. The machine guns are chambered so those bastards can keep shooting - ALOT - even when fouled. Badly fouled. That's why most of the good ones are open-bolt designs. They fire from the open bolt, not a closed bolt. If you need a machine gun, and have to stop using it, to clean the chamber because it stopped running - then the design of the gun in the first place is bad. Machine gun brass will be quite a bit longer than the numbers you're stating. This was all just stuff that was shot from different guns.
  6. I'm not that bored - but I watched in anyway! IT RUNS!!!
  7. ^^^ She's my favorite example.
  8. Sure do - I'm gonna rub that stupid comment of yours in, every single chance I get.
  9. We use LA's Totally Awesome in the cleaner at work. It didn't fuk up my NiB BCG at all. This stuff:
  10. Not mine - dude at the shop bought it, and it's decent sized. I took the BCG to work the week before that match, and tossed it in there, all broken down. I ran that thing over and over while at work that day, didn't even check it - just kept turning the machine on. At the end of the day, it was amazing. I'll check all that stuff at work tomorrow, and get the details on that cleaner up. We clean small engine parts in it. I guess I know more than just gas ports, right @jtallen83?...

    Morning

Awesome way to start a day - I'm envious, living in desert. There's water around, but it's fished-out, mainly. I miss fishing, grew up on it as a kid.
  12. I just did this about 6 weeks ago. NiB .308AR BCG in the .260 Rem gun, the week before the June match. I was amazed at how well it cleaned it, even in the cylinder in the front of the BCG, and how well it cleaned the shiit off the bolt tail. I'll be doing that again, when it's necessary.

LaRue MBT-2S, or Geissele Hi-Speed National Match. I know for a fact those two triggers work like a charm in a .308AR. I have an ATC SR-Gold in one that has never failed me, as well.

  15. Bandy, where you at? You haven't been on since June 3rd. There's massive information here, and you're blind if you don't realize that. In total, your last visit wasn't even a month after you joined, and called this place "low traffic." It's far from that. Come back - get engaged. Nobody likes a quitter.
  16. Punch it up, man. If it was mine, I would, with zero hesitation. Drill baby, Drill!
  17. Hit up Tactical Tailor, look for a MAV 1-piece or MAV 2-piece (whichever one you'd prefer), and add their 308 mag pouches with it. Great setup.
  18. Northwest Pinstripes, brother!!! I miss wheelin' that place - well done.
  19. It is. That's all they made back then.
  20. That gas port is still too small, at 0.0835" measured. It will HAVE to be bigger. Get it in the range you'll need, before you put it back together. If you can get that pin back in there, and that gas tube isn't damaged, like Jim said, then run it.
  21. See, this is exactly why we're asking you for specific dimensions. The Sprinco Red spring is a direct replacement for the Armalite EA1095 spring. It's purpose is for carbine receiver extensions that are 7 5/8" internal depth, and used with carbine buffers that are 3.250" long. OR, you use it in a rifle receiver extension that's 9 11/16" internal depth, with a 308AR rifle buffer that's 5.200" long. If your carbine receiver extension is 7.000" internal depth, you'll need a buffer that's 2.500" long, and you purchased the wrong spring. The Sprinco Orange spring was specifically designed for that setup, on a 308AR. Details matter - I don't know why it's so hard to get them from you.
  22. LC brass consistency is excellent, year to year, even many, many years apart. As good as alot of other companies match brass. Just check OAL on the cases at first - if they're all pretty close, you're good to go. If you see a HUGE variation in cartridge OAL,.. it was fired from a machine gun... It's real easy to overcome that, after sizing, and just trim them all to the same length - and mark them, those long bastards that went through the MG. They'll lose primer pockets faster than "normal." Just something to watch. There's about 1,200 of those shiny, primed little beauties loaded up now. That's the only brass that I'll use for the Mk11 load, with the 178 ELD-X projos. That load is amazing.
