  1. I converted all my battery-powered tools over to Milwaukee 3 or 4 years ago. Best thing I ever did. My tool-truck guy could retire off me, if he wanted to - but it's completely worth it, for me.
  2. Based on what you've said, I'm about to go off on Race-Gun parts, and why they DO NOT BELONG in real .308AR guns. I can't believe that WC is using some JP bullshiit in their guns, that they ship to regular customers - that just want guns that RUN. Fucking unreal. Low mass BCGs belong in fucking Race-Guns - that you make money with, in your competition tour, and win matches with, with your matched load, for your Power Factor, in order to win your category that weekend - and keep your lifestyle up. Winning matches and making money at. Lightweight BCGs DO NOT BELONG in real guns, that you shoot everyday, with a variance of ammo. Bullshiit recoil systems don't belong in them, either. But, that's another day... Fuk, this is rubbish. I can't believe that they're doing this. It's fucking bullshiit. I'm astounded, that they're so fucked up on this. And I just ordered another barrel from them last week. Bet your ass I check the gas port size (and fix it if necessary), and check the gas tube length needed. I'm waiting for the barrel to come on before I order the Armalite AR-10 gas tube for it - that I know that it'll need...
  3. Wait, let me get this right - this is WILSON COMBAT doing this?...
  4. Spill details on the gun you're trying to put it in - that's the faster result. I don't know how long mine are - I just know what guns they fit.
  5. Don't make this complicated. Don't complicate shiit with complicated shiit. Height over bore on ARs is usually 2.5". It can be a tenth higher or lower, but it's generally right there at 2.5". Bolt guns are usually 1.5". If you want to get crazy, and really measure it, just measure from the center of the BCG to the center of the scope. That's your Height Over Bore. The center of your BCG is also the center of your barrel bore. Can't go wrong with that.
  6. Fukkin' kidding me?! Geared up like that, I'd take that challenge. That snake will make a fucking badass hatband for me. And ALL of my friends.
  7. AWESOME FIND, Lane!!!
  8. Ballistic Advantage just blew out some nitrided .308AR BCGs for $125 over New Year's Weekend. Don't know if any of you caught that, but I have one getting delivered soon. Sorry for the lack of heads-up - I was busy in sand.
  9. Words of advice - ahead of time... This will be a $400 rail. Telling you all now. That was the original MSRP...
  10. I'll do the same thing. I found one here a couple years ago, after searching for 10 years, here. I'll take 2 or 3 more.
  11. 1. Get some pics up of the stock buffer that came with that thing, with a tape measure picture, to show it's length. 2. Get a pic up of the internal depth of the stock receiver extension that on that thing. Need to know the internal depth of the stocker. I can solve this problem, easily.
  12. Are you serious, brother? NIB? BUY THAT THING ALREADY!!!
  13. Update on the dirtbike guy that got hit by the RZR... Heard this morning... It'll be a long road for him, but he'll eventually be okay. There was a Nurse out there right then, that responded immediately to the incident, and she cared for him until the helicopter showed up. They're trying to find out who she is, because she's the reason he's still alive, and will make it. News up all over the dune boards on it. That explains why that bird was on the ground for so long - she was keeping him going, and they had to get in there and take over for her, then begin all the packaging and prep for movement. That shiit takes time. Doesn't matter if it's in the sand, or on a ski slope. I've only packed one guy out of the sand, in my life, to help a buddy that broke his leg - shiit, that was @DNP and me that got him out. I've packed a fuk-ton of broken people off ski slopes. Sonny Bono fuckers going places they shouldn't be in.
  14. First GoPro vid from the dash...
  15. I'll win that one, every SINGLE time. It's not about "Assertive" or "Stubborn" - It's about A$SHOLE. That's the hand that I play. And I win.
  16. My tank of gas lasts longer than his battery charge does...
  17. After I got back, Dan told me it had the HEAVY flywheel in it, because he's been doing mostly trail riding. The heavy flywheel keeps it from stalling, when you're lugging the engine down... But the paddle-shifter never stalls, because there's another computer controlling the clutch and shifter... That nasty little fucker would have revved SO MUCH faster it the heavy flywheel wasn't in there... Wait for the first of 5 ride videos, that I'm processing right now, and you'll get it... This engine isn't happy below 4k RPMs. It goes CRAZY starting at 7k RPMs. The rev limit is 11k RPMs... It's a RIPPER!
  18. A bunch of RZRs and one lonely 2017 Yamaha YXZ1000R SS SE... 1,000cc 4-stroke triple-cylinder, manual transmission (no CVT belt), and a paddle-shifter none the less. It's a BAD rig.
  19. Got out there Friday, mid-day. Made a day run for a minute, got to pedal the thing and run it a little, and went out for a night run later, hit Olds after dark. Got in there, duned over and not sand highway, went to the top... and all the reds and blues came out. Life Flight. We found out later that a dirtbike went head-on into a RZR. Fucked the dirt biker up pretty bad. Not even 3 minutes after we were at the top of the hill, looking down, the reds and blues started making a circle. Took about 20 minutes for the helicopter to show up, and they lit the LZ with a green strobe. Pilot landed directly onto that green strobe - which means it's a badass pilot. He was on the ground for 15 or 20 minutes before he lifted off, which isn't a good sign. I told the guys up there, "If he shuts those engines down, down there, that means there's nothing to get to a hospital - the dude is dead." He never turned it off - but he was on the ground for a long time. They were still trying to prep that guy for flight. That helo lifted off, and hauled ass, probably for Yuma General. That was a sad start to the weekend. But, when you're out there enough, you know that shiit happens. 5 or 6 times every single major-holiday weekend.
  20. I need to get one more trip out there this year, before it gets hot. I've only been out twice this season - but it makes me realize that missing about 3 or 4 years really sucked. And I shouldn't have missed all those years. I remember a time when we were hitting the sand about 8 to 12 times a season, brother. Dan's YXZ rocked out there...
  21. I leave for the weekend, and this turns into the kinda shiitstorm that I get involved in. I feel left out. @shaffe48, I guess you can't keep blaming me for this. You did this to yourself, asshead. (I hope you still get the PM Notifications that someone quoted you or quoted your screen name... ) You would have been fun to interrogate. You wouldn't have lasted long. Much shorter than you imagine you might have.
  22. I've used that one in alot of my AR15-framed guns. It's very nice. I haven't tried the .308AR one from them yet, and don't know if it's compatible with your Savage. If you buy it, and it doesn't fit your gun, I'll buy it from you for what it cost you, plus shipping to me. I know it'll work in one of the large-frames that I have. That's a win-win, right there.
  23. Came back, a day late. I'm alive, no chance of dying out there. Tried to leave on Sunday morning from Wash 6, but that was a complete shiitshow, as soon as the sun came up. 5 miles of traffic, bumper to bumper, stop-and-go, from sunrise until about 7:45pm. I stayed another day, just to avoid that. I left at 9am Monday morning, and was ablt to drive right out. Heavy winds Friday night through Saturday morning, which made alot of people pack up early and leave... But, that's the best sand, once that wind dies. Everything around noon on Saturday was brand-new sand, smooth all over the place, no tracks, no ruts. Lot's of people were waiting for that wind to die, and make "new dunes" out there - and it was great riding. @AZMan - can't thank you enough, brother. I'll work on pics and vids.
