  1. Don't worry about ejection pattern, until this thing is broken in. That isn't the end-all/be-all anyway. I don't care where my brass goes, as long as it gets out of the gun, and the gun functions. I don't set any rifle up, ever, based on any ejection pattern. Next, always start an adjustable gas block wide open. All the way. You save ammo that way, if you want to hear my version of the story. Always, Wide Fukkin Open to start. You need to spec these out, and find out what the details on the recoil system are. And post the results. You listed the weight of the buffer at 5.5oz, and that's a good weight. What's the length of the buffer? What's the internal depth of the receiver extension? I'd shiitcan the spring, just because it's an unknown. Unless you can give a relaxed length, wire diameter, and coil count, it's an unknown. Beyond that, we'll never know if it's chrome silicon, or what the material is that it's made of. Those details are super important. After the recoil system is solved, we'll move to the gas system - unless you want to get to that now. Pull the gas block, and measure the gas port diameter with numbers drill bits, use the shank of the bit to measure.
  2. 2.500" buffer setup running inside a 7.000" internal depth extension. Run that with a Sprinco Orange spring, and you're set. That will be a solid combination, right there, with that KAW 5.6oz buffer. Whatever issues show up after that, won't be recoil system problems.
  3. No worries, man. As soon as you put those up, I'll be in here around 1830 tomorrow and give feedback on what will work, and why.
  4. Welcome aboard, man - read the PSA section well. I've put a ton of reseaerch into these things in the last few years, and know what the solutions are for the problems that PSA ships out the door. Hit this one, too, so you understand the background on why I say what I say about these large-frame ARs...
  5. Same here, brother - I've been on that since I was 39 years old. But, at 39, I was 21.5 years into the .mil life, and punched out. It makes life MUCH easier, that route. I hear you. So, my question for you is... Still going to do the carbs? You kill it in that arena.
  6. Just remember to give me a kickback next time you charge that magic card...
  7. I converted all my battery-powered tools over to Milwaukee 3 or 4 years ago. Best thing I ever did. My tool-truck guy could retire off me, if he wanted to - but it's completely worth it, for me.
  8. Based on what you've said, I'm about to go off on Race-Gun parts, and why they DO NOT BELONG in real .308AR guns. I can't believe that WC is using some JP bullshiit in their guns, that they ship to regular customers - that just want guns that RUN. Fucking unreal. Low mass BCGs belong in fucking Race-Guns - that you make money with, in your competition tour, and win matches with, with your matched load, for your Power Factor, in order to win your category that weekend - and keep your lifestyle up. Winning matches and making money at. Lightweight BCGs DO NOT BELONG in real guns, that you shoot everyday, with a variance of ammo. Bullshiit recoil systems don't belong in them, either. But, that's another day... Fuk, this is rubbish. I can't believe that they're doing this. It's fucking bullshiit. I'm astounded, that they're so fucked up on this. And I just ordered another barrel from them last week. Bet your ass I check the gas port size (and fix it if necessary), and check the gas tube length needed. I'm waiting for the barrel to come on before I order the Armalite AR-10 gas tube for it - that I know that it'll need...
  9. Wait, let me get this right - this is WILSON COMBAT doing this?...
  10. Spill details on the gun you're trying to put it in - that's the faster result. I don't know how long mine are - I just know what guns they fit.
  11. Don't make this complicated. Don't complicate shiit with complicated shiit. Height over bore on ARs is usually 2.5". It can be a tenth higher or lower, but it's generally right there at 2.5". Bolt guns are usually 1.5". If you want to get crazy, and really measure it, just measure from the center of the BCG to the center of the scope. That's your Height Over Bore. The center of your BCG is also the center of your barrel bore. Can't go wrong with that.
  12. Fukkin' kidding me?! Geared up like that, I'd take that challenge. That snake will make a fucking badass hatband for me. And ALL of my friends.
  13. AWESOME FIND, Lane!!!
  14. Ballistic Advantage just blew out some nitrided .308AR BCGs for $125 over New Year's Weekend. Don't know if any of you caught that, but I have one getting delivered soon. Sorry for the lack of heads-up - I was busy in sand.
  15. Words of advice - ahead of time... This will be a $400 rail. Telling you all now. That was the original MSRP...
  16. I'll do the same thing. I found one here a couple years ago, after searching for 10 years, here. I'll take 2 or 3 more.
  17. 1. Get some pics up of the stock buffer that came with that thing, with a tape measure picture, to show it's length. 2. Get a pic up of the internal depth of the stock receiver extension that on that thing. Need to know the internal depth of the stocker. I can solve this problem, easily.
  18. Are you serious, brother? NIB? BUY THAT THING ALREADY!!!
  19. Update on the dirtbike guy that got hit by the RZR... Heard this morning... It'll be a long road for him, but he'll eventually be okay. There was a Nurse out there right then, that responded immediately to the incident, and she cared for him until the helicopter showed up. They're trying to find out who she is, because she's the reason he's still alive, and will make it. News up all over the dune boards on it. That explains why that bird was on the ground for so long - she was keeping him going, and they had to get in there and take over for her, then begin all the packaging and prep for movement. That shiit takes time. Doesn't matter if it's in the sand, or on a ski slope. I've only packed one guy out of the sand, in my life, to help a buddy that broke his leg - shiit, that was @DNP and me that got him out. I've packed a fuk-ton of broken people off ski slopes. Sonny Bono fuckers going places they shouldn't be in.
  20. First GoPro vid from the dash...
  21. I'll win that one, every SINGLE time. It's not about "Assertive" or "Stubborn" - It's about A$SHOLE. That's the hand that I play. And I win.
  22. My tank of gas lasts longer than his battery charge does...
