  3. If his head wasn't near the kicker, you could fire that 2-stroke up and get his ass RIGHT out of there!!!...
  4. Not a .308AR.com Official Contest, but this is still the best place to stash a topic like this. Sign up! Someone here needs to get this!!!! Clicky... https://henrythumb.com/
  5. We'll put you straight on it, and smack the piss out of the mile!
  6. This came out 9 days ago from right now. KING5 News! My old hometown news source from Seattle, for over a decade! SIG is so fukked, with the 320. Good thing they have so many SOF Contracts with the Army. I don't think that will save them, though, but it's delaying all the other shiit, no doubt. Check it:
  7. SIG found a loophole, and exploited it - in their own home state... Pathetic.
  8. The 4th Edition is out now, brother. Linky: https://thescienceofaccuracy.com/product/applied-ballistics-for-long-range-shooting-4th-edition/
  9. Here we go, Sketchy-Bro... Applied Ballistics For Long Range Shooting, 3rd Edition. By Brian Litz. Chapter 2: The Ballistic Coefficient. It gets WAY into detail on all this stuff. WAY DEEP...
  10. Higher the number = way more slipprier. I just made a new word. Bigger number = less resistance, fly much more better through air. At least, that's what @Magwa was yelling at me, last time out here.
  11. Just looking at G1 drag factor, I found the load data for MagPro in the .338 LM and 285s / 300s on the Hodgdon load site. They only listed 3 of the 300 grain projectiles. 300 Berger Hybrid, 300 Lapua Scenar, and the 300 Sierra MatchKing HPBT. They didn't have anything for 300 A-Tips. But a 300 is a 300, so I'm not gonna blow myself up working on these, no way. So, G1 drag factors. 300gr Berger Hybrid - 0.822 G1 300 Lapua Scenar - 0.736 G1 (<<< that one shocked me...) 300 Sierra HPBT - 0.768 G1 Looked up the 300 A-Tip... 0.863 G1. That's the slipperiest bastard in the whole pile. Won't have a single issue making 2750 fps from a 24" barrel. FWIW - the 285 ELD-M has a G1 of 0.789. That's a badass projectile.
  12. Thanks, brother. I wanted to keep running the 285 ELD-Ms. I have about 75 of them left. Figured I'd stick with it. Looked them up, and they're $50~$60 a box. Didn't want to pay $110 a box for the 300 A-Tips. Well, shiit... The 285s only come in 50-a-box. The A-Tips come 100-a-box! They're the same damn price! 300 A-Tips it certainly is...
  13. JBM Ballistics, to make all my dope charts. I use the accurate weather from the Kestrel, and the true speeds from the Garmin chrono, and make the Dope Charts. I rely on the Dope Charts 95% of the time. When the weather is super-fukked up, I'll run the Kestrel just to get Density Altitude at the time, and use that DA to modify the holds/dials on the Dope Chart data... The Kestrel has Applied Ballistics calculator loaded into it. If I bluetooth the LRF to it, lase, get a distance, the elevation and windage corrections pop directly up on the Kestrel screen. However, if I rely only on those two things, and I don't know the gun - what do I do when the batteries die?... No, no way, brother... Just working on loads, firing at 100 yards, and looking for pressure right now. First test was a success, completely. I need 2750 fps from this 24" barrel. I hit 2792 fps on the 3rd load. No need to even shoot the other two loads, with the higher charge weights. I got what I wanted on the 285s with 87.5 gr RL22. I know I'll get the 300gr projos to 2750 with the Accurate MagPro powder.
  14. Finally got one. This is a Savage 110 BA Stealth model. They introduced it around 2017, and discontinued it when they came out with @Magwa's model. First time, on this model, that they blueprinted the action. Has the Savage Accu-trigger, which I'm a huge fan of, and it comes in the MDT LSS chassis. 24" barrel. Witt Machine brake went on it as soon as it came home. Don't really like the glass I got with it, so that's coming off, as well as those ridiculously high rings. The scope was ordered, and is in at GunPusher John's, going with the Athlon Ares ETR Gen 2 UHD scope, 4.5x ~ 30x. Getting mounted in Burris XTR Signature rings. Shot it last weekend, kicks like a MOFO, because it's light. The stock it came with sucked, so that's gone. MDT Skeleton Carbine Stock already on it, and some MDT chassis weights on the way now. Beef this thing up al little, drop the recoil. Enough talk - here it is right now:
  15. There's more depth to this topic, below, and more that the Feds were watching...

    Ron - SR-71

The SR-71 Pilot and Navigator BAITED those fuqrs...
  17. Yes, he is. The Main Act. I stated that those two shots were 6" apart, at the top center of the plate - but I think they were more like 4" apart... @JBMatt has the picture of the plate, and the impacts... @Magwa... Respect, brother...
  18. This is the description under this Manufacturer Header here: Palmetto State Armory has become our second biggest sponsor. They off their version of a 308 AR the PA10, as well as great prices on ammo, mags and other cool house brand weapons What I just posted better not get deleted, based on the amount of money PSA spends here - they started buying up ad space, and sponsor space, HERE, just based on how BAD their Large Frame ARs WERE - to try to delete the comments, and history. All we've been through, through the years, trying to make these guns operational. Don't nuke this, Mods and Admins - let it ride. Money matters, I get it - but taking money from people that can't get it right, just to try to downplay bad comments... That's not right. Let it ride. Make them fix it. They bought Ad Space here - to try to make bad comments go away. That's the only reason they did it... I'm not going away...
  19. Not a surprising story from PSA, and their Large Frame AR. They just cannot get it right. They never will. Gun looks cool - and that's what they're appealing to. Looks, over function, and that's how they've always done it with the Large Frame AR. Band-Aid fixes for major functional problems, in this platform, just so they can appeal to the cheapest people that run the cheapest ammo most of the time - and just hope it works for them - most of the time. Most people never take advantage of the "Lifetime Warranty!" that PSA offers. Good thing, too, because from what we've seen here, from people that post about sending their Large Frames back for warranty - "no problem, function tested, performed flawlessly..." Yeah, right. The design is OFF. The gas ports aren't the proper diameter in the barrel, the recoil system is historically WEAK... AR15 carbine recoil springs are in Large Frame 308ARs... right off the assembly lines, directly to someone foolish enough to buy one of these. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox, and just give you the vid from 2 days ago, from 110SASSActual. This is the "new" KAK M110 K1 clone from PSA. It fails, very miserably. Didn't expect THAT coming... You know what you need to do, PSA. You just refuse to do it, because it's $$$ out of your pocket. But, Hey... You do you, Boo...
  20. @Rsquared, know you're busy, brother... If you get a chance, check that vid I posted above ^^^, and start watching at the 12:00 minute mark. This impacts you directly, in your travels to the SDTF. All others that travel here annually, as well, but it impacts you the most, my brother...
