This is real-quick about to be 2 in 1 day...

Might sound strange, brother, I know. I need to toss this out here, like a fishing line. I think you're under the gun, on this one. I'm just sayin'... Here is THE RULE: "If you post, inquiring about a product, be it new or old, and no one responds with a review within 48 hours, you are hereby required to buy said product, and review that product, so that this rule doesn't apply to the next person with the same inquiry. "The Rule" shall not apply to the announcement of new or upcoming products, unless there is some context inquiring as to who will be the first to assume ownership of said product. At that point "The Rule" will once again apply to the poster, who will be obligated to be the first in the stated question. While this shouldn't need to be stated, pictures are required, or that s*** didn't happen." That's a hard and steadfast legality here on the board - but it gets interpreted and applied at will. But, it is The Rule. The only other SOLID piece of information here that gets adhered to is Lesson 65b. The true definition is Lesson 65B is: You snooze, you lose. This happens when you're looking at something on sale from a vendor, or you see something advertised for a ridiculous listed price - and you wait, and think about it. So, you pull the trigger, and try to add that thing to your cart - and now it's out of stock... Lesson 65b bit you right in the ass...

That tank is badass, brother. Nicely done.

So, there was an advertisement for 200gr subsonic .308 Win rounds?...
-
That's my favorite canteen cup - WAY better for cooking than the newer POS with the wire handles.
-
There's a thread here somewhere about me working with a guy on this, and he was ready to give up on it. I was urging him to keep on pushing, and it was almost there. I have 195gr loads that I've built, but they're not subsonic. I have some 225gr projos that I use for the Win Mag, and I'd sacrifice some to the cause, and try it out.

Call me on Sunday, brother, and we'll go over all that stuff. Right now, I'm not busy on Sunday.
-
This right here is the perfect definition of "The Rule." The clock is ticking...

^^^Truth. I don't load light charges. I try to squeeze everything I can from these bastards, and make them work for it.

You could just do it right, and run the Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System that was linked earlier. That's the proper way to do it, and it's only a few more bucks. You'll still need to change the gas tube, and drill your gas port.
-
First, I'll tell you that your gas port is undersized, and probably not drilled in the proper location. Then, they'll just toss and AR-15 gas tube in there, and it'll come up short for what it needs to be. After that, they used a 3.8oz buffer, which just isn't Enough Ass To Control The Mass... of a .308 Win round. They probably just tossed an AR-15 Carbine recoil spring in there, because they don't care. There's a couple Band-Aids that they do on that Gen 3 gun - they mill two little triangles out of the ears on the lower receiver, so you can't tell when the BCG is striking the lower receiver, because of that weak recoil system. Second, they put an adjustable gas block on there to "tame it" because it's a .308 Win round. The truth is - it's not over-gassed, and needs that adjustable gas block. It's UNDER-gassed, and it's WAY under-recoiled. Right from the factory. There's more work to do to that gun to make it right - whether it runs or not, right now. They ship a shiit-product that works for most of the people, most of the time, with most of the off-the-shelf ammo. It won't work every single time, though. Read this when you have the time - I didn't learn this on the internet. I learned it from building these big things...
-
Fukkin' LOVE IT!!!
-
They have an adjustable gas block as a band aid to make their design function. They're just putting the band-aid on the wrong cut, and not really fixing the problems with the design and execution of what they're making.

Alright, you bastages, lets get into this tic-tact-toe thing real quick... So, Matty states 3 shots, but it wasn't 3 shots. It was 5 shots, Fuqr. The first time we did it. You shot first, called center-center, hit. I went left center, hit. You went top left, hit. Now I gotta block you, and went lower right... and I fukked it up proper, and shot the center beam between the lower right and lower center. So, you swooped in there and smacked that lower right, and it was game over. About as fast as you could end a game of tic-tact-toe.... We'll played, ya jackass... Now, I demanded a rematch, and you wouldn't give me one. Something happened, too - I think all the alcohol kicked in and straight whooped your ass, like instantly. For what it's worth, I wasn't far behind... I wanted a rematch, or at least a round 2, and you weren't having it. There were alot of people getting on you about it, so you did it. We got back down there and went after it, and it turned COMPLETELY DIFFERENT that time, brother. I went first that time, hit one, and YOU shot a center beam. So I shot the target that you wanted to hit. Then you shot another center beam... and you said, "I"M OUT!..." And you didn't shoot at it again. After that, I started getting Loquacious about it, and we started speaking in tongues. Only you and I know what was said, because there wasn't a single person within 50 yards that could understand WTF we were saying. It baffled the entire crowd. I finally got to the point were I could speak English again, and I said I was going to shoot every single open target on that stand, in the order that I called them, and end this thing with every plate being hit. And I did that...

Most of that comes down to the gauges that the barrel manufacturer uses for headspace. That's only because not all gauges are the same. Some might say Clymer, some might say Forster. 0.001" differences on those two brands might mean that one chambers, and one doesn't. Call BA before you buy more gauges. Just ask them what ones they use to measure. I fell stupid, with as many BA barrels as I have, because I should know this answer - but I just don't know... After they tell you which ones they use, compare the prints/specs to the clymer .223 gauge that you have. If we're within 1 thou or 2, I can help you get through this and measure it, with scotch tape...

Sadly, alot of firefighters die of cancer, early. I hear about it all the time, because I work with one every day. 40 years, gone from cancer. Those guys go into burning all-kinds-of-shiit routinely. I don't know what kind of carcinogens my coffee pot puts out when it melts in a fire... or my fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher... respirators or not, that shiit soaks into their bunkers, and they have to wear it all back to the firehouse and clean it all up. Exposed, all the time. Those guys walk into a carcinogen minefield everytime something is on fire. Cancer fuks alot of them up early, too, just for those reasons.
-
Indeed, that was the topic. You became quite loquacious over it, too...

GAWD DAYMIT!!!! You're ALL Savages!!!

DAMN, AL!!! That's not a dog, it's a horse...

Vids from @Moon Boots - Ranger TV, staring at a great campfire. It's the conversation that's the interesting part... It's easy to hear who "the dominant one" is at the campfires... There will be more, just need to process them.
-
Oh, no way... that's gonna be pretty good, when the WHOLE story comes out, you fuqr.
-
Just noticed that I completely missed this when it all came up. If you have an astigmatism, a red dot (Aimpoint type, and all other red dots) will fuk you up. You will need a holographic sight, for your red dot duties. Think EOTech. Holosun just came out with a badass little one, too.
-
^^^ That will be badass. Somebody has the slomo of me setting Tinkerbell off, too. Started as a real-time countdown, then slowed down right after that - big fat slow-moving smoke cloud, then a bowling ball gradually rising up out of it... - I think that was @Robocop1051...
-
Ooooooh, brother. I need to tell that right, so that one will take time. I don't wanna fuk that one up. Unfortunately for us - we have no backup. Nobody else can say one way or the other (besides you and I)... because we were speaking in tongues. There wasn't a single other person out there that could understand what we were saying... I will prioritize that, and get that story up.
