  1. Something is stopping that hammer from slamming the hell out of that pin. I'm betting it's a blown primer, stuck down there in the trigger mechanism. Check that trigger close, remove it for inspection if you have to. Be honest, if you find a blown out primer down there...
  2. He's a great guy. I call and ask for him when I need parts. I'm local, so I drive up there and pick them up - but they don't allow customers in the building. So, when the door guard asnwers the door when I ring the buzzer, I state "Glen told me to come to the front door, and meet him here..." You do what you have to, to parts-whore some things...
  3. There's no need for that. Stick around, and tell us how the gun runs.
  4. Looks like DSG Arms was the vendor - they're good. You can rotate a crush washer 540 degrees - 1.5 turns. After that, it'll split. Then you start over with another one. Don't ever use a crush washer on a muzzle device that will be a suppressor host. Use shims or peel washers only, there, in that case. I switched up to Accu-Washers a long time ago, from Precision Armament.
  5. The barrel extension installation is the very, very first operation (unless the company is truly making their own barrels ( - and they'll rifle it first, profile it second). So Barrel extension goes on a rifled barrel blank, profiled or not yet. It's torqued on there to 175lb/ft. Once it's torqued to 175, the feed ramps at 6 o'clock determine barrel centerline. Barrel index pin goes into the extension at 12 o'clock next - common misconception about the index pin is that the extension is drilled for the index pin, and the index pin locks the extension to the barrel... This is NOT TRUE. Index pins do NOT go deep enough to go down into the barrel threading. They never do. The gas port is drilled at 12 o'clock, at the desired position and size after that. Final step is chambering it, and setting the chamber depth/headspace. Most manufacturers profile the barrel after the extension goes on, but not all do. Those main barrel operations happen in that order, though, profiling be damned, whenever they decide to do it. Having a loose barrel nut is rare, based on the amount of torque for it - but it happens. I had one from a well-known manufacturer on a 16"300 BLK barrel. When it happened, I took the extension off, coated the threads with RockSett, and put it back on and realigned it. It'll never come off now, as long as I don't swim some distance with it and twist it up after that.
  6. Good lookin' optic, man! That'll work out fine.
  7. They PERFORM, don't they, brother? I love 'em. I ditched the 77 SMKs in 2011 or 2012 for those things.
  8. That's a GREAT article, brother! Thanks for posting that! Right off the bat, this line had me laughing my ass off...
  9. Awesome, as Doc states. Tecumseh was a Shawnee. My great-great grandfather married a full Shawnee woman, so I've got some of that coursing through my veins. My sister has all the old family pics somewhere, I'll have to get copies from her someday.
  10. That's the way I like it...
  11. At the end of the round - and completely, ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT - it is ALL ABOUT THE SHIIT-TALKING,brother... All the way... The Shiit-talking starts as soon as you call one, and don't hit it. It's GAME ON after that... As soon as you call one, and don't make it - it's back to 3rd Grade Rules, with Tic-TACT-Toe... you missed, and you're now the victim...
  12. Whatever. You grizzled prick.
  13. We do TIc-TACT-Toe at night at 450 now, you bastards... You CALL your square. You hit another one? Doesn't count, free game. Hit the frame? Yeah, we'll see that, and call it. Here it is in daylight... Pic courtesy of @blue109 ...
  14. Wasn't that the year that Matt ran downrange to put out the "Tracer-fire in the brush?..." - - never seen a white kid from NC sprint so fast... ...and the same year that you fuckers shot down the 450-yard target, filming "fireballs from muzzle devices..." ?... Hit everything BUT the fucking target at 450 yards. Shot a 1" wide t-post in half... shot an 1/8" wide piece of paracord - at 450 yards, no less! No marks on the target... Fuckers...
  15. You're not jabbing me in the ribs, not in the least, on anything - even if you think it's funny. I'm done with your word-games and made-up scenarios. You make up whatever you want to call anything - because you don't know what you're talking about in the first place. I'm not gonna be a part of it. I'm done. Good luck with your gun. Hope it shoots well.
  16. ^^^ EXCELENT, Roman!!!
  17. Your steadfast STRONG will power is amazing. I don't have to deal with that with Gun Pusher John. I'm n the other side of that - and he needs ME. I put the cams in his engine... While he sat, looked, and asked a million questions. Fucker BETTER trust me, and he does. We ripped his machine before cams, and it was 75mph maxed out. After cams, the test run - we stopped at 90mph, because we ran out of road. I won. I hold his performance-balls, and performance-addiction, in my hands. I either build that engine, or I don't. I fix those ignorant (6-spring) 2013 Honda Accord rear drum brakes, or I don't. I have a pretty bitchin' Aero Precision FDE lower receiver from him that has the PDQ lever in it, factory installed - that was 100% free to me - for work that I've done for him before. That was a $199 lower as it was, stripped, and with that PDQ lever that was in it. That's the lower on my 25/45 AR, right there. Free-Fiddy-Free. Oh, i had to 4473 it, but the bill was zero cents. My point is simple, brother - you need to find an angle that makes your Gun Pusher DEPENDENT on you... That was my angle, and it worked... Your guy needs controls in that shop, right?... Something to make his life easier, cheaper, whatever?... That's what I'm talking about. Make it into a thing where he can't live without YOU... That's your angle, brother. It works.
  18. @DustBuster, you seem like you're on the path that you are going to REFUSE to learn lessons that people have been learning here for more than 10 years now. You just REFUSE to listen to most of the information that's given to you - FREE, that you need to keep in mind. FREE to you. You just ignore it, and you argue it, or combat it - every response from you. On that note, I'm done, with anything that you have to say here. All of it. I'm not getting into it anymore. I wish you luck on your gun, and I wish you luck in the psychosis of "looking for problems" that don't even exist in the first place. I wish you well. Good luck on your gun.
  19. GO shoot the damn gun already - for real, and not pretend. Stop over-thinking this shiit, already.
  20. Not unless you see it happen. Drag your ass out here already, brother. COME ON MAN!
  21. Handloaded 5.56 77gr Sierra MatchKings - because I can't make them realize that the Hornady 75gr HPBTs are slightly superior. Decade of testing between the two, and they still don't get it. I almost swiched DirtBike Tommy, though - gave him 10 rounds to shoot... It rocked him. 75 or 77, through a 5.56 gun. Don't you let ANYONE tell you that you can't drive that thing accurately to 850 or 1k yards. You certainly can. Get that bitch to 2750fps through an 18" barrel, and that's where the magic happens. Everytime. DirtBike Tommy's loads were 2700fps - before suppressor - and I know that's what kicked it over the top. Come shoot with me, you Hooker... The SDTF will leave you speechless...
  22. Well, last weekend, we just put a 16" LaRue 5.56 gun out to 1000 yards, on target. If you can't do that with a 16" .308 Win AR, then you got issues...
  23. This is worth watching. Johnny Cash on doing a Trent Reznor song... Hurt, by NIN. Trent Reznor now has stated that Johnny did it better, and it's his song now... That's TWO class acts, right there - both those guys.
  24. Nah, don't waste the time. I'll send you my shipping address. Take that pain off your shoulders right now...
  25. Eh, it's a piece of shiit. I'll give you what you paid for it...
