  1. Is your Wilson set on the DMPS High plane, DPMS Low, or Armalite AR-10 plane? What is the exact Gun Tec rail that you bought? It's either Armalite AR-10 (different threading for the barrel nut than DPMS), or it's DPMS Low. That's all that Gun Tec makes. Time to start researching what you have, and what you bought. I can tell you this much - the WC TRIM rail that I have mates up perfectly to the Aero M5 upper receiver, which is a DPMS High pattern... Deductive reasoning tells me (1) that the WC rails match their own uppers, and that (2) the rails are mating to the DPMS High...
  2. The only thing proprietary about it is how you mount things to the rail itself. It's not M-LOK or Key Mod, and if you mount via a picatinny rail - then just get an extra pic section now while they have them. That's the only "proprietary" on this rail - and it mounts right up to a DPMS High profile upper receiver.
  3. 1st. Gelssele doesn't make a spring for a .308AR, at all, and of the springs that they do make, they're not flat springs - they're braided wire. Aero AR10 buffer - okay... Rifle buffer or Carbine buffer? Rifle recoil system or Carbine recoil system here? Who made the receiver extension, and what's the internal depth of that receiver extension? Where does the gas tube end, inside the upper receiver? Should be directly in the center of the cam pin cutout that's in the upper. Since ammo came up - what ammo are you shooting? Read this thread here, thoroughly. You haven't provided near enough information, on your own, and barely what we've asked. Read this thread, so you get an idea of the kind of info that we need.
  4. VLTOR is it. No others that I've ever seen, ever.
  5. Describe all the details of your recoil system. It's your recoil system, or you are under-gassed. Hard to tell with the limited details of your gun.
  6. Guess I literally bought the last 12" TRIM last night, then. Hope they didn't mis-count, and I get one... The 4-slot pic rails are still available, though, right here: https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Picatinny-Rail-Panel-4-Notch-TRIM-Direct-Mount/productinfo/TR-TRIM-RS4/
  7. Wilson Combat has their TRIM rails on a blowout, because they're not making them anymore. Around $80. 10" and 12" available. Buy an extra pic mount rail section when you do it, because they're proprietary. Gun Tec is good, but Gun Tec does NOT make any WC handguards. Not the same. Last I looked, Gun Tec ONLY does Armalite pattern, and DPMS LOW pattern - they don't offer anything at all for DPMS High pattern.
  8. Indeed - TOTAL Dick Move there... Thanks, Dion - that quarter-bore looks promising in the future, not that I think about it...
  9. That 270/308 ain't gonna load to AR mag-length, and neither will that 25 Souper thing. That 25 looks interesting, though. Quarter-bores are amazing!
  10. I ran this handguard on my 12.5" build, and it's great. Wilson Combat TRIM rail, and they're not making them anymore - so they're blowing them out for around $80. I did the 10" on the 12/5 barrel, and it's perfect. Pick up an extra TRIM Rail picatinny section when you get it - because you won't get to buy one in the future, once all this stuff is gone. I liked the 10" rail so much, that I just bought a 12" the other night -future project. Can't beat the quality, or the price. 10" - absolutely perfect on a 12/5" barrel. https://shopwilsoncombat.com/TRIM-Tactical-Rail-Interface-Modular-AR-10-DPMS-10/productinfo/TR-TRIM-AR-10-D-10/ 12" https://shopwilsoncombat.com/TRIM-Tactical-Rail-Interface-Modular-AR-10-DPMS-12/productinfo/TR-TRIM-AR-10-D-12/ The TRIM Rail pic section: https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Picatinny-Rail-Panel-4-Notch-TRIM-Direct-Mount/productinfo/TR-TRIM-RS4/
  11. ...rechargeable battery-heater pack...
  12. You, my good man, have exceeded the testing expectations. Above and beyond...

    1 Mile Showdown

He DEFINITELY needs to clean the chamber on that thing, before bringing it out again. DEFINITELY... Fucker HATES cleaning guns, too...
  14. I was making a joke - but you HAVE ball-checked these things! I love it!!!
  15. Stuff 'em in your underwear, and keep your junk warm? Do they work that well? If so, I'll grab 2.
  16. Did you just try to Waterboard him, over radio shiit?... Slow down, take your Ritalin...
  17. That's pretty cool, right there. I ordered my LaRue UU Kit June 17th, and tossed in another LT-158 mount and an extra trigger with it. They broke the mount and trigger order off the original, and sent it to me two weeks ago (at request, or I was just ordering another of them), but that Ultimate Upper order is closing on 5 months now. Nov 17th is 5 months - but my call at 4 months, they told me that I had another 1 or 2 months. Final tidbits for my final 6 ARC project. They'll get here when they get here. Not worried about it.
  18. Initial big parts ordered tonight. Some of the parts that I won't be able to get in the future. I thought the .338 Fed AR was a big-bore, but this one is gonna be fun. @dpete, do you have .358 Win brass in your inventory? If so, please list those as "taken" - or I'll make brass for them... Thus begins the journey, men... If I can get this done in some form of a "timely manner", then the only other caliber that I'll need to collect on the .308 Win parent-case will be the 7mm-08 gun. .243 Win - got it, in bolt. .260 Rem - that bitch is my go-to. .308 Win - too many to count. .338 Fed - that this is serious, and recoils less than my comparable .308AR. .358 Win - we're doing that right now, brothers... Gonna be a 16" barrel, too. My missing link will be a 7mm-08 AR, in the future, and I'll probably do that in an 18" barrel. Just to fornicate with the 7mm-08 guys that say you need a long barrel...
  19. Which is a ToolCraft BCG, by the way...
  20. I"m not there now, so he's safe. @Robocop1051 is never safe, though. I might be in his fridge right now, and I just need to leap faster than he can draw. Pants-Down, of course.
  21. Shouldn't NEED an adjustable gas block, if the barrel is made right (gas port diameter on the money). I built up one of the 12.5" SIG barrels from CDNN, and didn't use an adjustable gas block. That gun runs like a champ, eats anything I throw at it. Get your recoil system right, make sure your gas system is straight. No adjustable gas block needed, at all. Don't waste the money, unless you plan to run it suppressed and unsuppressed. ToolCraft for the BCG. Snatch one when you can find one. Nitrided is fine, you don't need Nickel Boron.
  22. As long as you don't think you're in Vegas, and there's a concert going on outside, then we're good... What? Too soon?...
  23. So... How was she?...
  24. Carpal Tunnel, after a cylinder-full - when I don't even HAVE it... I can fully imagine that THAT pistol is something that could give you SHOULDER PROBLEMS from firing it...
