Exactly. 11 Sep 2001 was a terrorist attack on our great nation. 11 Sep 2012 was a terrorist attack on an American Base, that President (use that term loosely) OButtFuck and SecState Lying Bitch Hittlery tried to cover up. I pretty much stayed away from here today. Today just pisses me off.
  2. I'm not trying to instigate or anything - I'd never do that. But you can have a complete LaRue rifle for way, way less than that. I'm just sayin'...
  3. ^^^ He's completely right.
  4. OMG. I think I Love You... ❤️🤪
  5. DAMN! I'll tell you what - I'm very, very happy with my 25-45 AR - that's a badass caliber, and a great gun. The barrel from them is fantastic. This sucks to hear.
  6. He will have them. If he doesn't currently have them, he'll MAKE your buffer for you, probably tomorrow, too. He's that fast, and that good.
  7. Good, round radius along the top portion, to removed that "heart" shape - but there's a small notch that the bottom of that "V" - knock that think out of there, too, and make it "round" at that base, man. Works like a champ.
  8. That is a Wilson Combat specific gas length, and you should have ordered their own gas tube when you bought that barrel. ^^^ Exactly. ^^^ That gas tube protrusion is fine, and will not hinder your BCG travel, at all. That's what we usually end up with on "the half-way barrels" on the gas port location. AR-15 gas tubes are too short, and don't meet the minimum, but the AR-10 Carbine gas tube pushes it just past the midway point in the cam pin cutout - better than being too short, and it doesn't cause any issues with function. Maybe you have a little LONGER unlocking time, instead of a SHORT unlocking time - but it's better for a gas gun to have the longer time, vs. the early attempt at unlocking, from a short gas tube. Eh, My $0.02 on it. Once you shoot it, you'll see that it functions just fine. If it was my gun, I'd throw an H3 buffer in it, and save that H2 for a later AR-15 build. At least LaRue is using the proper recoil system for your gun, and not cobbled-together AR15 parts. If you have a 3.250" buffer- then LaRue is sending you the AR-10 Recoil System. No other way around that number, for the buffer length. Look upon that, and smile.
  9. Mag catches are different, brother. There's zero reason you can't just run a standard AR15 mag catch in just about any .308AR build. This doesn't count the difference between the Armalite AR-10A and AR-10B mag catch differences, that they came up with for those two distinct platforms. I have AR15 mag catches in all my .308ARs. Never done anything special. They hold the mag in place, they release they mag when I push the button. All Aero Precision M5 receivers, and the lone Matrix Aerospace receiver set. All AR15 junk, for mag catches. Doesn't take much to keep a mag in place, and release it. Once you start getting fancy, and using all the fancy shiit - or milling your own 80% receivers - that's when things change, and get FUBAR'd. Armalite AR-10A/Armalite AR-10B shiit not withstanding.
  10. Oh, make no mistake, brother - I've been ass-deep into EFI for 30 years, fucking with the EFI on my '89 RX-7 started it - slot the crank position sensor mounting hole by 1/4" and slide it over that 1/4" to advance the timing by 4 degrees... The '79 carbed RX-7 was alot easier to mess with, back then. Forced to learn, or fall behind... I got deep in it with the EFI on the '93 Jeep YJ. Tuning it, tweaking it, re-writing tunes on ECMs for it. It's fun to hack a factory computer, on a modified EFI engine, and tweak that thing for peak volumetric efficiency, by RPM and throttle position, all the way to redline and beyond. It was just WAY easier when we were checking the color of stainless headers, and doing plug-chops... Tuning things for turbos, twin turbos - that were never injected in the first place (or never had turbos in the first place) - and going back to old-school, and twin turbo-ing a rig to run through a carb... Many will say that's impossible, but it's not impossible. Done been done. Twin turbo through a carb. With nitrous. I might like guns, and fuk with them alot, but I'm a motorhead at heart. I fuk with guns as a break, because I fuk with engines as a retired-living. It funds my gun habit.
  11. @billymagg, family being what it is - that story above is a prime example ^^^. We knew and heard of @392heminut's son, when he was going to join the Marine Corps, as a teenager. We held a shoot here, before he left for Boot Camp. This is years ago. Now, the boy - Man - did his 4 years, got out, and is now doing/working as Larry states - still here. If you need family looked after and taken care of - we excel at that task. Josh's twins are gonna FUK HIM UP, too... HELLIONS!!! That's called "payback" - for all the shiit YOU did when YOU tortured your parents... It all comes back...
  12. Read this, for providing pertinent gun details: Read this, for understanding gas systems and recoil systems: After that, go rip up the Intro Section, and tell us about yourself. It's right here: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/
  13. Your buffer is too light. Especially suppressed, when you induce MORE gas pressure on a gas system that might be doing it's job- but your recoil system isn't up to the task to begin with. Bare minimum - your 2.500" buffer should not be running in a receiver extension that 7 1/4" long - that's TWO bad parts combined together, right there. MEASURE THE INTERNAL DEPTH OF YOUR RECEIVER EXTENSION. It either needs to be 7.000" internal, or it's 7 5/8" internal. THAT is the number that matters here. You need a buffer that weighs 5.4oz, or very damn close. Your 2.500" buffer will weigh 3.8oz, when you weigh it. Not Enough Ass To Control The Mass... Fix your Recoil System FIRST. Make a functional gun, no suppressor, FIRST. After that, we'll talk about what it takes to make it run suppressed. Functional guns need a good recoil system - and you don't have that. Suppressed guns need an adaptable gas system. Two different animals.
  14. I'm a carb guy, brother. My life was WAY easier before Fuel Injection came along...
  15. Matrix Aerospace made a couple transitions. At first, their receivers were Armalite Cut, and Armalite barrel nut threading. They also made Armalite Cut - but with DPMS LR-308 barrel nut threading - basically, a DPMS LR-308-based receiver set - but with the Armalite Cut on the receivers. Eventually, they moved to all DPMS LR-308 based design, and all DPMS-based parts. Pics of the receivers that you HAVE, will help alot here - and help you identify what you have, in your hands right now. You're working with a GREAT receiver set - just post pics of what you have right now, so we can guide you through what you need to order to finish it. My Armalite Cut, DPMS threaded receivers - those took special-length pivot and takedown pins...
  16. I'm SO lucky... I'll shoot that bastard, brother. I'll risk it. FML...

The Pants-Down Hug happens that fast...
  18. I forgive that, Mack - I get it. To "let" someone do something, how I was raised, means you gave them permission to do what they were doing. To "not let" someone do something means that you denied them that permission. I was raised in SE Ohio - you don't get in a fight, and let someone punch you in the face... Word choice, and my upbringing. To have something stolen from you - it can be minor or major. They steal my mailbox... whatever. I need to put another one up. They steal my HOUSE - most major investment a person makes - that would be war. They steal one of my vehicles... SECOND major purchase in a person's life - then it's a pretty big deal. It's pretty major. Truck was locked up, in my driveway, the keys weren't in it - both sets of keys to the original locks are still in my possession, though they're worthless now... I'm not worried about manhood, brother. My initial worry was whether they were smart or not. Targets. Do they know what they really ripped off? Are they smart enough to try to come back, based on what they found? That's my real concern, and I live it daily, when I'm at work... What do I come home to, daily? Kicked in door? They weren't smart, not based on what I've seen of the truck since I got it back. They were GOOD, in taking trucks, but they weren't SMART. I'm counting on that, I trip-mined the Nissan, and I'll security-camera the house - Before I bring the truck back here. I'll trip-mine the truck, too, once it's back. In my tally of what was lost, it was pretty substantial, monetarily. I don't typically blow $750 in a weekend for a new Reese 1200lb trunion hitch, just because. But I have to now... If I had $750 a weekend to blow on something - it would be Hookers and Blow. Targets were cheap, through you, brother - but if I want to shoot next weekend, and need 4 targets - that's gonna be a grand... Tools... Toolboxes... 20 years ago when I put that Delta box in there, I think it was around $150, caught a sale. Aluminum boxes, Delta boxes, these days - even the same box - that thing is up to $350 now... Gone, right out of my driveway, when it was locked up. That's a painful pill to swollow - even if I got the truck back. They got it fast, and drive it right out - they had skills. My future worry is if they "get smart" and try to come back... But, just so it's clear - I didn't LET anyone take my property, FROM my own property. That'll never, ever happen, as long as I have a heartbeat. Sorry that you think this is embarrassing for everyone to read, brother. If you came home from work - or worse yet - were leaving FOR work - and your truck was gone... You might see it different.

Wait for it, to almost the end... this is kind what to expect when you arrive... Skip to 1:10 and brace yourself...
  20. 22 yr old truck. I never intended on running into anyone with it, or being an "unsafe driver", so I had liability insurance on it. I don't get a penny from insurance, throughout this whole stolen affair, man. Everything stolen off it and out of it - is outta my pocket. The $750 Reese trunion hitch is the biggest thing, as a single thing. 4 x IPSC steel targets is the second biggest loss. Tools in the box that was unbolted from the bedframe rails (drilled in, through the bedrails), tools in the cab... All the shiit stolen off/out is probably around 4~5k, overall. My dime. But, Mack thinks I just LET that happen. Like I walked out, saw them, and said, "Oh, it's OKAY with me... Please, just PROCEED with what you're doing... Sorry for interrupting you.... " Fucking NEVER. Must be okay with Mack, though. He thinks differently than I do. It's okay with him. It's not okay with me, though. The only bright side that I have is that I'm not looking for another truck right now, which would be out-of-pocket completely. Just like all the other stuff that I LET them take...
  21. I didn't LET ANYONE steal my fucking truck, Mack. I would never LET ANYONE steal a fucking penny from me. I didn't LET that happen, and had I even sniffed it out in the least, they'd NOT been successful. I didn't LET that happen.
  22. You might be a complete dumbass, if you think I LET someone take my truck, Mack. No, Total Dumbass, if that's what you think. You LET someone TAKE YOUR TRUCK from your own driveway, Mack? Would ya? If you think I LET that happen, then you're fuckin' wrong on what you think about me. Had I HEARD that shiit going down, they would have had a 14.5" carbine in their face, and never would have made it out of here. Yet, according to YOU, I just LET that happen. You can fuk yourself, Mack.

It's never a butt punch - it's full-frontal, and you'll for sure see it coming, right at you... It's face-to-face here, the only way...

Oh, you're getting a Pant's Down Hug anyway... Just wait for it, and don't try to brace yourself. Once it's happening, and you recognize what's going down, just let it go, and roll with it. If you stiffen up before impact, it's only gonna hurt worse...
  25. I can understand why someone with a tractor is up in the hills in Cali. I completely get it for real, not joking. Just sucks to be caught up in that, though. That's why we have things to watch like this...
