  1. We'll DEFINITELY need DNP's photography skills for the pics. DNP needs to bring cameras, and photography goods. For certain. I'll full-on gear up, too, and make sure I wear my multicam goodies...
  2. I WILL get a shopping cart for the Fall Shoot, and mock up that pic...
  3. "Pile of rifles" can't even begin to describe it. This Fall Shoot, we really do need to get ALL the guns together - including the 17 guns that Rob has concealed ON his body - and get an aerial-view pic of everything that comes out. "Dude! Which one?" This was my exact thought, as well - and why I haven't replied to this thread yet. Every one of my ARs is ideal. Ideal for what I specifically built it for. Only THAT AR can do the job, that I built it for. Otherwise, I would have built something else, or nothing else. "Skip it..., next..." My short 300BLK was the perfect truck gun. Perfect. Until I discovered what a short 6.5 Grendel could do! Now the short Grendel is the truck gun. The short 300BLK is the backup truck gun... It's bumped back to bitch status... Same with the bolt guns. Same with the pistols. Same with the shotguns. Same with the Can Cannon!!! No other AR I have can do what the Can Cannon does, or make me laugh, like the Can Cannon does - hell, even THAT thing has a purpose! And it's "ideal!" If you shoot steel, just put a target out at 50 yards - and hit it with the Can Cannon!!! You WILL laugh your a$s off... I don't have one rifle that can do everything. There isn't such an animal. There isn't "one rifle" I'd want to take into a total collapse of society - I'd want to take a shopping cart full of different ones - for different reasons and capabilities of each one.
  4. Make sure you get some KNS anti-rotation trigger/hammer pins. Blowback operated pistol-caliber ARs break hammer pins, and the KNS goods are the cure.
  5. That's a good lookin' handguard, man. It's almost identical to the GunTec USA Mod Lite handguard I used for the short Grendel. I'd say you're far better off with that one, than anything I can find on the Odin page. PSA did good on this, and what they said for a reason sounds good, too. That's acceptable, on this end of 9 days, the way they get smoked with orders routinely.
  6. Welcome, fellow Arizonan. Hit up that Grendel board - we're planning the Grendelization of the entire planet!...
  7. The Fulton Armory M110 barrel is probably gonna be your best bet. It's .875", and 5/8x24. You can overcome the threading with an adapter. Just the fact that it's approved for this: " Legal for M110 Service Rifle NRA Match " ...says alot. I understand about wanting to build it legit, and completely accurate. However, that could cost you up to $25K for a real M110, potentially. Pray you find someone parting one out, but I doubt that would ever happen unless we hit an all new gun ban. None of us will be able to afford anything, if that's the case... Gougers will crush us...
  8. Do what you want, however you want.
  9. It think we just started a painting business...
  10. That's what I was thinking...
  11. Damn instigator...
  12. Reminds me of this - I think it came from DNPs wife...
  13. I know it sucks, but you can always accept that sub, get the Odin handguard that you want, and swap it - then sell the one they're sending you. Shiitty way to have to go about it, but it'll get you what you want. Look up the handguard that they're using on the sub - find the retail on that, and the retail on the Odin that you want, and tell them to send you the sub at THAT price difference, since that will be the only practical difference. Josiah needs to jump into this one - hope he sees it. @Palmetto State Armory
  14. I know it, and it's damn sexy, too. I bought mine in the MarineCoat flavor, but that's just the receiver. I'm thinking mine might be getting stripped down and Cerakoted... They did it right. You know... I'm already painting on Saturday... and I got more Cerakote in... I might give this thing the business...
  15. Have you shot this beast yet? That's one badass brake. I'll bet that is one nice rig on the shoulder, and keeping sights on target. Welcome aboard.
  16. The way it's designed, is to be staked. It's nowhere near an "added complication." Not even close. It's also quite easy to remove a properly staked castle nut. No staking comes into contact with any thread material at any time, either. It's lockplate to castle nut, on the outer edges. If you have to remove it, and think it's unsightly because it was previously staked- you just replace the receiver end plate with a new one. They're cheap. Have you ever staked one? It kinda sounds like you don't know what I'm talking about. But, hey, put loc-tite on anything on your gun that you want. Do it how you want to. It's not the right way to do it, but it's Burger King day, and you have it your way.
  17. I think I can change the AZ percentage a little. They didn't survey me...
  18. Properly staked at 2 of the 3 stake locations, and they never rattle free. Loc-tite shouldn't be used on that part. That's why it's got the stake locations.
  19. They hit the stepdown of the BCG, and can make the final "close" to seat the bolt. Whoever told you that they don't even touch the BCG is incorrect. The spring is so strong in the 308s, though - if it won't seat the bolt, something is wrong. Using a FA seat the bolt on a round that won't chamber would probably compound whatever issue it's having.
  20. Geissele Reaction Rod. Done. Solved. Pick one - they make them in both versions, which covers you in anything you will ever do in ARs... Done. Oh, just for the record, the MagPul Armorer's Wrench is the baddest motherfucker on the planet. I've used alot of them over the years, but this one smokes them all. By far.
  21. I get it, man. New Yorkistan, and all. You gotta get outta there, man. I'm just sayin'...
  22. Nothing, as far as I know - he just got out of the retail-to-the-customer business. Don't think there's anything wrong with him, brother.
  23. Quality of manufacture at a price point that wasn't anywhere near gouging. Responsiveness of the owner, as well. Dave Wilson is a great guy. Smart as hell, too.
  24. Pass that info along - we've been looking for those for 6 months now.
